“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

Wish you would do a video on sculpting in warmer weather as well. I struggle with it being warm (70s-80s) I am a beginner so I wind up using more powder because it sets so quick. My AC in the room that I work in needs to be replaced. 😖 awesome video Greg! Thanks!!

Hold my cane. I'm so fricken' old that I actually remember when OPI sold that electric monomer warmer back in the day. 👵🏾👩🏾‍🦳☠

You can also use a ‘baby bottle warmer’ to warm up the monomer or one of those ‘coffee cup warmers’

Im recently self taught. This helps me soooo much. Thank you. I now know that if I cool my room off a bit, I can have a bit more time to work with it. But not so cold that I make a huge mess.

Hello! I have a question! I’m actually experience the opposite, I get the perfect bead but as soon as I place I down i only have 5-6 seconds to play with it and it move or budge and it dries completely ! Is it the monomer brand or could it have to do with temperature? Thank you
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc 2 года назад
It could be both. Unfortunately, we can’t speak on other brands as we don’t test them. If it’s warmer where you are working that will cause the acrylic to set up faster. You can try and make your area cooler or also use more monomer in your brush.

What can I do when it’s cold in my salon and my nail glue isn’t gluing the nail tip to my clients natural nails? After proper natural nail prepping. Any suggestions ? 🥺
@mrsijamin
@mrsijamin 2 года назад
I would recommend a nail glue spray that dries the glue! I use: hurry up glue spray activator (nail glue dryer)

Try using a heating pad under your table towel. This will keep the client's hands warmer so the glue will set up quicker.

Unfortunately, we can't speak on other products as we do not test them. We recommend asking in our facebook group so that people who have experienced working with that product can share their advice.

So what’s the best temperature to work with acrylic I missed that cold 🥶 or warm
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc 2 года назад
You can work in either. Cold makes the acrylic set slower and warm makes it set faster. You just need to be able to adjust depending on what the temperature is.

Are you using YN liquid and powder? If it looks dry and dusty, you may not be using enough liquid to pick up your powder. Here's a great video that may help. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cdIfoOTt4-E.html

@itsdomonique_

This video really confused me. Doesn’t colder temperatures cause the acrylic to dry quicker and be harder to spread around as opposed to what you’re saying, that cold makes it runny?? 🫤
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc Год назад
Cold doesn’t make it runny it just sets slower. If it’s warmer than the acrylic sets faster.
