So sorry to hear about Emmett's continuing health struggles. It's so hard when we can't explain to pets why they feel bad. For the monthly "refill up to" targets, they won't calculate correctly until the first of the month. YNAB doesn't know you won't spend anymore of that money in August, so it assumes you will spend it all until it becomes September and it sees that you haven't spent it.
You did set your RU-vid expenses target correctly but you were budgeting a month ahead (Sept when it’s still Aug) that’s why it was asking you to budget $20 rather than refill the $5.88 needed to make it to $20. The refill up to targets work correctly in the current month not future months.
I made a passport SF, inspired by you! Our kiddos will need passports very soon and instead of it "surprising" us when the time definitely comes, I'll be putting $50ish aside every month until then ✨
Aww, yay!! I hope it helps! I actually got the idea from another YNABer but I can't remember who it was, it was way back in the beginning of my YNABing and I couldn't find her again to credit her.
it's all good, lol we had another big cost come up we lost our fur baby of 13 years do to her having a bad seizer. and just off of two weeks without pay due to hubby having his gallbladder out. Man, when i Rain it Pours.....🌧🌧🌧⛈sorry to hear about puppy, I use your clever fox link for a new planner for me.
Oh, Gina, I'm so sorry 😟 It does seem that everything comes all at once. Maybe that means we're going to be in the clear for the next few months. Thanks for using the link!! I'm about to order another one myself, which one did you get?
@@TheGoodMidlifeCrisis Just thinking out loud but could be worth to let that money grow with index funds, especially if it has such a long time frame. Something on the lines of UGMA or UTMA account.
