Few guitars players can out perform themselves in the live versions, EVH, R. Rhoads come to mind. This intro by Malmsteen is just insane how so effortlessly and improvised he decided to upgrade the intro solo...what a beast, the one and only YM.
Having listened to a lifetime of music, I still maintain that Yngwie is the greatest electric guitarist ever. Wish he would get back with Joe and do another great album.
Having listened to a lifetime of music... I still maintain that he isn’t the greatest. Isn’t it great that music subjective? Yngwie can’t write a tune that anyone would really want to hear.
The greatest? Definitely not but yes one of the very best for sure in the list of 10 greatest players. Eric Johnson for me, I haven't listened such a thing ever.
I just absolutely love that keyboard intro! It just sounds so ominously luscious and yet, soothing at the same time! The chords of ominousness I call them, hehehe!! Jens Johannsen is an amazing keyboardist!! 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
The album of this tour is all about the great vocal work and songwriting done by Joe Lynn Turner. Even tho I love the two albums made with Goran Edman, Malmsteen never came even close to this again. It feels ridiculous how they (perhaps the guitar player) try to put Turner down with so few video takes and a terrible mix that leaves his singing in the background.
@@ericjpdt only in his mind. He is not a natural leader he is a dictator who cannot stand being overshadowed. I am one of many who only bought his records because of the singers and the songs.
I know he is a jerk right, but if I was a young yngwie malmsteen too and see what I can do, well I guess I would have chosen the same character path. Ego or not still one of the best 5-10 guys to play the instrument all time period.
