Lisa and I took a roadtrip to the Northeast where we met up with a couple of friends of mine from my stint in the Air Force in the early 90’s. First stop Ocean City, Md to see my boy Mikey. The next day we spent with Ms Helena in Bridgeville and Dover,De. where she escorted us on base for a tour after being gone for 30 years. Got to see my old Survival Equipment shop, (Much thanks to Derrick Day SERE Specialist) who allowed us to tour the old shop. Then on to the new Aircrew Flight Equipment shop, which combined the Life Support shop and Survival Equipment shop back in 2009. Really brought back some good memories.
The next day we took a train to NYC where we got our steps in for sure. Then on Saturday we drove to Lancaster, Pa. where we toured the beautiful Amish countryside. Finally we made a B- line to Philly where we got the infamous Cheesesteaks from Pats and Geno’s, then went to see the Rocky Statue. There was a very long line of people waiting to have their time in front of the statue for pictures.
