I grew up listening to underground/lyrical hip hop, but now that I'm older, I love this type of hip hop. It's motivational. And there is no correlation between intelligence and what kind if hip hop you prefer. I can read. 18th century literature, drink a glass of bourbon on the rocks, and then listen to this.

People DO NOT understand how hard it is to keep the SAME flow throughout THE WHOLE DAMN beat and not run out of words to rhyme with, which is EXACTLY what he did on this song and on top of this he's rapping about shit that he experiences and lives by, and that's ALL that matters in rap. quit hating. i'm not a big Yo Gotti fan but this song is actually my favorite by him. and my main favorite rappers are Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Dom Kennedy, Curren$y, and T.I. I know music.
