I love how it is easy to find people online to play with even though the game did not sell that well. To bad 3ds online will probable shut down in a few years since the Eshop is closing.
@@Dipped1234 I dont know there might be some people on blasters T in yokai watch 3 but for online battles in the game when the game was new I never did any so im in e rank so I can barely find anybody now. That or there jjust isnt any people. As for the other games I dont know
Yo-Kai Watch Blasters is everything you could want in a spin-off. Fun gameplay, a simple but fun story and good characters, and a soundtrack that is heavily underrated. (Dog of the North Star being an absolute banger.) I remember when they first announced these games getting localized. I was so excited I preordered a physical copy of Red Cat Corps as soon as I could. It’s a shame that the physical copies are so expensive now. Definitely worth picking up before the e-shop closes in a couple of months.
Another fantastic video covering this under appreciated franchise in detail. The script on this one was really good, and your points flowed seamlessly into one another. Can't wait to see you continue to tackle these games with the respect they deserve, keep up the great work, and have a nice day.
This is making me realize how many games there are in the Yo-Kai Watch franchise. Counting the unlocalized games (and 1 remastered) there are 9 games and that's not even including the separate versions
14:18 I know exactly what this was. Connecting with the iron oni arcade game allowed the player to get some really powerful equipment to help deal with the new bosses in moon rabbit crew. An acquaintance of mine actually helped get that stuff added into the western version during the time when he was in contact with the localization team. The final YWBlasters update added the equipment as purchasable from Dimmy's Shop (once you complete the post game).
Oh damn, I remember players complaining back in the day bc it was impossible to 100% the western release as well... no connectivity with the arcade which would give you the final items to make the ultimate weapons. Think smth happened with transfered saves for YKW2, something about the music being un-100%-able
I just got my friend into Yokai, and this was his first game(bc he didn’t have enough $ to buy mainline games) and I need help bc we are trying to 100% it, but we both need 3 other wds and rcc for Rubeus j and hardy hound, and others (like Gargaros and Ogralos)
If anyone reading this wants a great Yo-Kai and set up to solo the game (including hard bosses, ive managed to solo (+dead AI) base difficulty Shogun King): Standard Usapyon Damona Soul (Pink coin Crank A Kai exclusive) Invader Chip (QR Code) Y button:Dodge X button: either Charge Beam or Frost (Frost is basically superior if dealing with Wobblewok, while Charge Beam is good for swarm fights, or bosses like Ultra Robonyan 28 when he spawns in 2 more robonyan) Invader Chip DPS and stats+Damona Soul HP restoration, being able to dodge and use getaway plushes to barelt sinch some wins. Only downside is that some later bosses (like Ultra Kat Kradel and normal Shogun King) take a lot of time (easily able to be 10+ minutes, and require focus). Although Kat Kradel is mainly a pattern memory fight.
@@Chrominize Gotcha, I saw a few people in the nintendo direct live chat asking for ykw4 localized so hopefully level-5 starts noticing people really want it.
As a Yo-kai Watch fan for the last 8 years I just wanted to let you know I've enjoyed your retrospective series. I was wondering if you plan to cover Yo-kai Watch 4 or Busters in the retrospective?
My favourite thing is seeing how Yokai interact with each other, I loved it Especially when they made all the Legendary interact and gave a bit of lore to them, god I can't be the only one who always wanted to see them interact
I dont own or ever played Yo-kai Watch Blasters but i hear its one of the best games in the franchise So i was kinda thinking of getting it soon... I also heard it has sequel? idk but im defenitly getting it this christmas
I never played this game unfortunately, I skipped it and stuck with psychic specters but it looks awesome. Maybe I’ll try it out after I finish my yo Kai watch 3 play through
@@Beefster420 oh that makes a bit more sense, I thought you were talking about Blasters sorry I'd help you with that but I don't have him on my 3DS save file either
Though I’m not a big blasters guy it’s cool this spinoff is really a big game on its own and can stand on its own without the main game but that’s where my issue comes from cause I like the rpg part of yokai watch and I only played blasters T because I wanted the enmas since they are kind of the best yokai in 3
The arcade game, iron oni force, that you’d link up too would give extra moonstones, king moon baubles, and king moon gauntlets to the player. You can only get 8 moonstones per save by doing true challenges. The problem is that without iron oni force it is impossible to 100% any international version of the game. This is because the game doesn’t give you enough of these materials to make 1 of every equipment item.
Ohhh okay that suddenly makes a lot of sense, they should've patched in some other way to buy those items in the international versions because as it is that's pretty frustrating lol
@@Chrominize they did, for the international versions they released a patch where they made it so you could buy Moonstones from the Dimmy Shop, (at a scandalous price)
@@trovulnyan3370 You can also buy Ultra King Gauntlets and Baubles, and King Moon Gauntlets and Baubles, + the entire material set from regular to Ultra for your version’s Golden boss (Red Cat gets all the Golden Claws materials, White Dog gets all the Swirlious Gold materials)
I feel so bad for komajiro and Noko. Ever since Usapyon came out they basically got sidelines - and Komasan stood in for them. Fuyunyan sorta is exchanged with Komasan at times. But honestly Usapyon’s awesome.
I honestly adore the first blaster game. (Never played the others unfortunately) the story is interesting, the visuals and designs are charming, the music slaps, and the gameplay is reminiscent of one of my favorite games, Monster Hunter! Definitely one of my favorite ykw games.
you really have to get lucky if a gamestop happens to have one laying abandoned there, i managed to both versions of blasters and yokai watch 3 that were each around 40-60 dollars. it sounds pretty unfair that its that expensive even more that eshop is dead, Id try maybe ebay hoping for one person to give a honest price but its extremely lucky to happen to find one at a time around here or a gamestop if they have a used or unused game
