I wish they would never stop talking or recommending records - such great, warm musicians and people. How can you NOT love them! ^^ I'm kind of hoping Amoeba would do another edition of 'What's in my bag' with them.
I was thinking the same thing. Can't help but smile at their passion and love for music - but that's why we're all here too! They definitely fall into that category of musicians for me that inspire me to be a better person rather than just simply enjoying their music.
I bought my first Yo La Tengo record because they were playing in a store I frequent, which I ended up working at. That Onion article about them is the truest thing you'll ever read about them, all the clerks at my place love these guys. Played Painful in the store today, sounded amazing
it's kinda weird and maybe even signifying that you can be inspired by someone when they're just record shopping. Either signifies I'm easily inspired or these guys or pretty inspirational. A little bit of both.
