0:52 im not 100% certain about this, but apparently the reason behind The Noid schtick of destroying pizzas was dominos' wanting to disprove a common rumor that their delivery service sucked, so they made The Noid always fail to destroy the pizzas as to say that no matter what the delivery would come fast & intact, going by the campaign success i guess it worked.
@@ahbeef 2:34: It's especially notable when you realize Coins, Pow Blocks, Starmen, and Sparks were Nintendo originals previously used in Mario games (the Sparks and Pow Blocks especially, as they were in Donkey Kong Jr. and Mario Bros. respectively); so it's likely the game was originally gonna be a Mario game to give to the Western Audience, before they were commissioned to use their prototype as a way of promoting Fuji TV's Yume Kojo event, and then sell it as a Mario game to America, shortly before SMB3 was released in Japan, with the pre-established enemies of Subcon (Pokeys, Bob-ombs, Shy Guys, Snifits, Cobrats and Birdo) becoming part of the Mario cast.
3:10 hey, to clarify, not really the nfts werent actually buyable. you could bid on them, but they were deleted before the campaign ended (refunding everything). their page is compeltely empty right now the gag was that the noid is evil and as such would sell nfts
whether or not that was the intent from the start is unclear, but honestly it doesn’t really strike me as such. it felt more like a cynical cash grab that dominos quickly pivoted from after it was met with backlash. still though, i can kinda see it being “part of the joke” though if so that was very poorly communicated lol
Well, that Domino saying that the Noid incident was not the reason why The Noid was script. Well, that was mostly true, he was removed from domino's marketing because of broken promises of safety delivery that the noid was in. The real reason why the noid was gone is just not that interesting, and the story of the noid intendent was taken out of context and most people mistaken this intendent due to his disappearance.
not yet, if im already sold on a game i tend to stay away from demos so the experience can be fresh when the full game is out. i have heard that the demo content is all entirely unique though, so i'll probably play it right before the full game for that inevitable review
You beat the game in the Game of A Year version and you unlock a second campaign. There’s also campaigns for finding all of the hidden chickens and collecting all of the pizzas.
@@supercamborg4218 its also kinda funny how they are both like the mario bros mario can jump normally and luigi has a flutter jump that makes his jump higher
