Something I have kept with me throughout most of my teenage years into adulthood has been something that my father once told me. Here's the story that gives a little background to what he told me. I was reading one of my all time favorite comic books (Sonic the Hedgehog) and had at that time receniltly found out about Sonic having a Father. I was telling my dad, "I just found out about Sonic having a dad!" What did my dad tell me? "How else would of Sonic existed?!" I even had said (during those times and these times too) I normally would think that way (even if it was a video game/cartoon character) but I just wasn't thinking that way when I had read it. Anytime I think of a cartoon character but you never see their parents I think "how else would they exist in their world?" Seeing that Yogi has a father assures me that every single character has existing parents even if you never see them in any type of media form.
My mind was blown too. Every character had a family. Why? For the very same reason your and everybody else's father had. Regardless, all that was retconned eventually because the comic needed a clean slate before it ended up cleaning it a 2nd time
