Hi @sajo21 - saw both your videos and your findings were very helpful indeed. I have been running on the Michellin XM2's on my Swift 185/70 R14 for about 6.5 years and 33k kms now and unfortunaltely can't source them any more in and around Mumbai. After being extremely satisfied with Michellin's excellent overall performance, durability and ride quality now its difficult to choose any other. But coming from whatever information gathered till now can you suggest if it would be better to go with Yokohama BluEarth GT AE51 or Bridgestone B250 ? Requirements: Good Ride Quality Durability Car running is less but mostly used for longer trips 500~ + kms Your advice would be highly appreciated !
@sajo21
@sajo21 Год назад
I went for the BluEarth GT because it was much cheaper than the B250, plus offered better warranty terms. I am at ~4k KMs and pretty happy with them with regards to silence and ride quality. Too early to comment about durability though.. XM2 equivalent would I guess be Continental UC6, which is widely available but comes with a single ply tread (GT comes with 2 ply).

@@sajo21 thanks buddy for your reply, I got my tyres replaced a couple of days back, went ahead with Yokohama Earth 1 after discussion and feedback from many users as well as the dealer who is in the business for the past 30 years. P.S - They now come with an unconditional warranty for 5 yrs Initial impressions - Great handling characteristic Performs at par with Michelin’s except for the plush ride quality Will post a long term comprehensive review after adequate usage 👍🏽

Thank you ! I paid 5000/piece for them for a set of 4 here in Pune including installation. Didn't bargain because the YCN dealer didn't have a stock and ordered them for me.

@@ikiranmore Hi Sir, you can check out Continental UC6, Vredestein Ultrac and Yokohama BlueEarth GT AE51s in 185/60 R15 for smooth ride and city comfort. I don't have personal experience but the MRF Perfinza have excellent all round reviews, hard to get though. Ceat Securadrive and Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 are also good and serve the purpose, but not top rated, both have got 5 year warranty.

My Honda City comes with Bridgestone ecopia 150 185/55 R16 tyres. Saw a lot of tyre burst issues (due to potholes )with this tyre and people recommended to upgrade to wider tyres which would mean bigger sidewall as well. However since it's illegal to upsize the tyres out of manufacturing specs I'm looking for a tyre with a strong sidewall with OEM size. Do you think this would have a robust sidewall prone to less deformation on pothole impact? Also since its been an year since this video, an update review with durability of the tyres would be really appreciated :)
@sajo21
@sajo21 Месяц назад
Tires are still going very strong 💪. I maintain tyre pressure 1psi more than recommendation. The ride has become progressively smoother.. I am at 2 years and 10k KMs on these. Thinking of getting a second set for my other hatchback. PS : it's not illegal per se to modify the tire size. So many Honda Citys ride on 195 profile tires or even 205s. Good luck and hope you find a solution to your tyre troubles soon ! PPS : for beast of a sidewall, check Yokohama Earth-1 in your preferred size. I had 0 punctures in 7 years and roads are worst around here.

@@sajo21 So you say it's not illegal is it? I heard from lots of people that it is it. Shall confirm on that, but I believe Adas might also get affected with bigger tyre size. However thanks for the review 😊

Hi there. Same issue. Even inflated to 35PSI. Tyre looks a bit flat.. Is this normal for these tyres? I have 195/65/R15 tyres installed In my Toyota Prius C. The rear tyres look fine. Only front tryes look like they are a bit flat.
