So awesome, I find this playthrough to be one of the best ones I've seen this year, and I love the steady camera and editing. This obviously took a lot of work and I appreciate it! I always find myself identifying with the main player color you use, this time being red (bummer we didn't win) but impressive game all around. I think you have struck a good balance in playing all three players. Thank you for doing this. Also at the very end when yellow got another Netherlands flag for filling that final order, were there no more Netherlands foreign agents to claim? This would have won them the game, but couldn't tell if the agents ran out, I know they're limited, so maybe this was the case. Looking forward to your next last Place podcast with Efka. Maybe you guys you record one of your online games sometime, bet it would go over well. Keep up the good work!
Small error: at 1:33:59 you should be giving blue 6 points, putting them at 67, but instead only give them 5 points. This means that blue's final score should have been 132 not resulting in a tie.
Yeah this was unfortunate but sometimes I'm terrible at match while recording :) Fortunatelyl, there is already a note in the Klingon subtitles about this.
It is unfortunate that viewers have to pick between those two options, but youtube provides no other way to add in corrections later unfortunately. There is a note that moves on screen at the start of the video to remind people about the Klingon :)
At 57:56 Yellow gets a bonus import crate for having a power of 5, but since Blue has already established a trading station there, the bonus crate should not be available to Yellow, right?
At 51:03 you'll see that Blue only got to 4 power on the turn that let them construct the Trading House which is why the 5 power bonus tile was still avaliable for Yellow to grab.
Oh yes, of course. Why did I not check myself? :) For a brief moment I thought that you could only put the trading house with 5 power! Thanks! Great Playthrough! Can't wait till the KS editions reach Europe!
I haven't heard/seen it mentioned, but the 5-power tokens should start face down. I enjoy your playthroughs, they are very helpful for new players; I have started sending links to them for new players before we play a new game.
Erin Anderson I don't believe this is true, the official rules video and the rules I looked at on BGG all day that the 5-power tokens start face up. Glad this has been a good resource for your group :)
You are absolutely correct. I only saw "face down" and missed the words "face up" in "Shuffle all the 5-power tokens face down and place 1 face up on the 5-space in each area." Again, I am glad I watched your rule video, thanks!
On a more serious note, I must thank you for doing this video to save me an hour of trying to figure out the rule book and then another 2 hours of struggling through the first playthrough! Also, it's really good to know the rule that you can move existing assistants, as that makes a huge difference. I look forward to playing this one! Thanks again!
