@jc7654 you and I are about to be the two viewer-product-testers it seems; i’m throwing a set of studded 275/65r20 G017’s on my Ram classic warlock this week! 🤙🏼 @TyreReviewVideos thank you for putting this up; this reaffirmed my decision in buying these, and hyped me up for delivery tomorrow 🙌🏼🔥

These tires are absolutely wild. I had them studded; they handle like champions on any surface i’ve come across. They do not hydroplane, they dig right through any surface water, even up to 4” so far (at 60mph!), they love gravel roads, eat up bumps as nicely as any 2ply LT, and they have the MOST confidence & grip in the snow. INSANE!!!

I've already decided these will be my next tire in LT285/75R18 for my Toyota Tundra. One of the most aggressive tires ive found that still maintains the 3PMS designation for performance here in Canada through the winter.

Everyone who has watched this, the Yokohama G018 AT has just released early July, best tires I’ve ever ridden on. Very aggressive for an AT, and kinda looks like a big rig tire at the same time. Amazing performance

I want these so bad for my next set, truck came with non 3 peak rated duratrac which are decent traction in the snow but wore terribly on the road. Jared the reviews are hilarious, don’t change!😂

How would you compare their stiffness/rigidity to other offroad tires? I worry these would be too hard for my trucks around the same weight as prado. I don’t know if it’s worldwide but here in America they are being marketed explicitly as a commercial truck tire for people who commute to mines and construction sites. You feel like they’re a good fit on your rig though?

We've had 2 sets of yokohamas in my house and they both had tolerable oddities. Like the go15 hunted on some highway sections and were not that good in rain. My concernis that out little 1/4 ton nissans won't be heavy enough for them.

@@jcarry5214 I live in Utah so high desert. I’ve used these in rocks, mud and slush snow. They worked well in all those environments. These tires have a really thick tough side wall, it was tough getting the beads to set on these tires. I’m running 235/85r16 on a 21 ford ranger. I usually just run 30 psi down the road, and only air down in soft sand or bad rocky trails.

@@nrspence8258 No shit, I'm in Utah too. My wife is worried they won't be aggressive enough for mud because they don't look as mean as the g003, I told her they're good enough in mud, at least 80 percent as good but they'll be better in the snow when she's driving through Daniel's and Parley's. Overall the Yokohamas have treated us great, tougher than they get credit for. I'm just having a hard time convincing her that she doesn't need boggers, that she's actually just a better driver than the people she sees stuck.

Australia gets snow too! You should know that! It's a pity Yokohama are not also yet bringing the Geolandar CV 4S G061 to Australia. The new G061 (3PMSF rated all season) would be super useful for those who do not need the all terrain capability of the G015 but need the wet road and snow and icy conditions capability on a tyre that can be used all year round. Anyone who goes to the alpine snow resorts, even once a year, or drives a lot on country roads in winter around New South Wales or Victoria, Tasmania, would do well in terms of general driving safety to get the new G061s.

still waiting on the Yoko family vid...that will be great to watch! Yokohama do build a good tyre. I'm thinking of trying them after my current Falken at3w's run out (great tyre, 255/65-R17 XL), either a GO15 LT255/65-R17 (stock size) or the GO17 in LT 245/70-R17. Still undecided. Leaning to the GO15 but that GO17 looks tough as 😁 Any thoughts? Then there is the Maxxis Razr AT at LT255/65-R17 with 3PMSF........aaarrrgggghh.....tooo many options that take 4 years to wear out!

How much driving do you do on the pavement, and do you air down much? I had the 15s for a while, they had a small whine on the highway that became very loud at a specific speed, and they hunted a fair bit on grooved surfaces, and they weren’t as safe in the rain as I wanted them to be at high speeds. But below 60 mph they were exceptional and refused to wear out. They handled off road conditions much better than they get credit for.

@@jcarry5214 The LT's have a deeper and more aggressive (similar) tread pattern to the P metric ones. The P metric are more aimed at SUV's etc. I'd say LT for a 4wd ute (truck) etc with higher load rating requirements, P metric for say a Subaru outback etc. I guess the compounds are the same so each should perform the same in the real world.

I'll have more of an idea in a few months

Just bought a 2020 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax. The dealer had installed these 35x12.50r20 They are very quiet considering A slight vibration at 65-70mph. . My last truck had the Yoko MT G003 I was disappointed with them as a truck tire. They were loud and cupped out bad on a 1500 Chevrolet 4x4. These seem to be a much better tire for a Truck compared to the MT G003. Comparable to the Nitto Ridge Grapplers I ran on my last 2500hd.

I just put these on my Denali 1 ton diesel… they look great, have a nice quiet and soft ride but are horrible for towing… beyond horrible, I would say dangerous. I’m returning them this week for Falcon Wildpeaks. I really wanted a new brand but I’m going back to a tire I know can handle the loads. I had a loaded trailer (14g lbs) going uphill around corners I felt like my trailer was ‘pushing’… this was because my load caused sidewall roll pushing the back out and shifting the front wheels in… my heart sopped few times, and it only got worse on the downhills. I wiggled my steering wheel and inch in either direction and the shimmy multiplied from the smallest correction…I don’t know if it’s the big outside lugs or a weaker sidewall. I pull consistent loads in my trailer on the same route hundreds of times and the Geolanders just can’t handle the load safely. If you’re just putting them on your truck or SUV without towing then I think they would be just fine… the big treads do pick up LOTS off stones though. If you have your family and are pulling a trailer… just don’t!

I ran the g015 for a while on my nissan. They are very good tires, a lot tougher off road than they get credit for, but their truck type design always made them slightly whiny on the highway and made them hunt on grooved concrete a little more than anything else I've had. Long wearing for sure. I bought them used, ran for 20k and they're still in my basement in fantastic shape. Definitely not as great in rain as you'd think though, at least on my lighter vehicle. Good in the snow but not quite as good as falkens but better in every other condition. They probably would be better on a heavier rig like the rebel, really more of a FS tire than a suv, they are stiffer than the MT g003 we have on my wife's frontier. Oh they all flat spot a little overnight if that annoys you. not as bad as the MT but more than my mickeys for sure.
