Why didn’t you go with hasport or innovative? You stated you don’t know the rating of those yonaka mounts , not sure how it’ll treat you for those track days you talk about attending in 2018.
yeah tried solid mounts one time. I'm using new OEM ones from here on out. But I am using the slightly stiffer hardrace lower mounts (tranny and where the AC pump bolts to). Even that gives me just a bit too much vibration for my liking but I like the stiffness when stifting gears, there's definitely a better feel to it.
Shouldn't have done that. They say it gets better but it doesn't. Should have just spent the money on new OEM mounts and filled them with rtv, silicone etc, it still keeps everything stiff but with less vibration than solid mounts. The only reason I would put up with vibration from a solid mount is in an actual racecar with high horsepower. Stock mounts with rtv should do you just fine for what your trying to get from your car. I am in the process of removing my solid mounts because i cant stand them and I don't need them for what my goals are. Everyone is different though, maybe you wont mind it so much after a while
if its not leaking anywhere then it could just be the header that makes that sound, since it has thinner walls than the stock manifold a lot of the times you can hear the gases flowing. Had the same thing with mine :)
Those Yonaka motor mounts look terrible :/ And the mounts you replaced were toast. Why can't you replace the back ones yourself? Do you not have tools?
Innovative is poop. Should have went with Hasport. I guarantee these mounts won’t last. Good video though! You get what you pay for, plus Hasport’s are pretty
Miton Films also the vibration is annoying. But you eventually get used to it. I folded a piece of paper and stuck it between my dash and windshield to help it a bit
I used to have hasport mounts and I sold them few months later I really hated them for the vibration too much rattle and I lost comfort and the car became noisy I came back to oem ones I won't go back unless I race the car
