Such an enjoyable game from two of the best players! It's a joy to watch them, not only for their skills but also for the way they conduct themselves in court.The game went smoothly, no unnecessary delays or ear piercing screaming (if you know what I mean). It's a pity one of them had to lose. They both played their hearts out, both deserved the victory. These two ladies deserve a lot of respect and admiration. The following are Ratchanok comments after the game: “It’s disappointing for me but it was a wonderful match. I was nervous but I played well - but Tai played better. I will have to improve for future tournaments.” Looking forward to seeing both again in future matches.

Tai is the most intelligent female badminton player I have ever seen -- a master of discerning where her opponent expects her next shot to go and then, suddenly, a big surprise! And, of course, her every carefully calculated move is supported by her strong stamina and wrist power. A well-deserved world No. 1.

you should see Susi Susanti's skill first. both of them have lazy style when they played. i love how susi and tai on the court,even Intanon. Susi Susanti is a legend. The 2nd set was the most impressive from Tai. She never lead once. Intanton was playing her best game, you had feeling the 2nd set was slipping away from Tai. However, she continued to battle back, all the way back to 20-20 and then on won the next 2 points to win the title. Heart of a champion. I think she definitely can win the BWF world championship this year. However, it's unfortunate that she has decided not to participate in the world championship.

in my opinion, the announcer should not be biased in presenting performances of players. As I have heard, female announcer has ever raised her voice in seeing the performance of World No.1 when she sees the winning points made by Tai Tzu Ying. But, in cases of Ratchanok, even she notices the winning points of Thai player, her voice becomes low which was obviously observed. It seems that she is too much interested in only World No.1 player or potential winner in a certain match. Comparing to male announcer, he is quite fairly making adjustment and announcement by comparing both weakness and strengths of both players' performances. I suggest that it should be taken into consideration when broadcasting such kind of world wide mass media announcement and live judgement in order not to be so biased. So, every spectacular might be equally judged and sent realistic messages. Actually, we, non-professional players as well as spectacular, are very delightful to see whoever winning the matches. In case of announcers, it should be get involved their personal likes and feelings in announcement. Thanks.

She mentioned that The All England is the Pinnacle of Badminton and Chalice of Badminton, that's why the players want to play in the All England Championship. The translator did not mention this part.

TTY had a special stringing on her racket 24:54. That stringing technique can break the string easily but so powerful and accuracy.

Just curious: why do female players tend to use forehand deep serve whereas male players tend to do backhand flick serve? (Just tend to, not always and not everyone)

Because, men's smashing power is greater than females. Not sexist but biologically proven. The backhand flick serve prevents smashes while the forehand deep serve can be a sitting target for a smash. The forehand deep serve is only used if u feel that the opponent does not have great smashing power or great foot movement.

What a terrible interpretor!! He missd out half of what Tai said. He was obviously very nervous. A good interpretor would not need to take note when interpreting a short aftermatch on court interview.
