I found something interesting when I wrapped an aerocush as an overgripe on my entry level voltric it felt significantly head light and easier to use 🤔
Refreshingly honest review. People can see your level of play, compare themselves to you and conclude, whather the racket is suited for them. I for once am worse than you and can tell that this racket isnt for me. Curious to hear how the other variants will play.
Glad you found it useful! As you mentioned, the key thing for me is to be honest with you guys and if I find something that doesn't gel with me, you'll hear me say it. 99 Tour Game Play video review coming up in the next video. 😊
Woah! This is by far the best review I have ever watched about this astrox 99 pro! Appreciate if you can share your thoughts on the comparison between 88d pro, 99 pro and 100zz in the upcoming video?
I finally found a suitable racket for me! After viewing this review, I decided to give a try. A perfect fit and a beautiful color scheme! Definitely going to purchase protection tape to protect this beautiful racket
A tip for anyone getting this racket the string tends to turn and twist while stringing this racket so just gotta give ur stringer a heads up before stringing
Was looking for a review on this racket, and you did not disappoint! However, would you recommend picking this over the regular A99 in orange and purple? Just want to know if they dramatically differ. I was looking to switch my ZF2 for one of these
@@rode.kurniawan Because it wasn't something that stood out when compared against the Pro version. The Pro feels a lot stiffer compared to the rest of the group.
I tried it today really nice! I hated the 99 but this one feels much better. Less boardy stiff feel. Feels a little more head heavy almost like a Z force 2
Great videos as always CK!!! Just curious, where did you get a breakdown of the rackets used by pro players at 1:31? I'm a beginner at Badminton and learning a lot from your videos.. keep up the good work
i never thought i would use aerobite with the 99p pro as im used to be using quite repulsive string like bg 66 power. but i find that the aerobite really suits the 99 pro. i find it to point where it felt less demanding' to play as you can opt to do slice drop shots instead of smashes all the time in doubles. in another words it is very stable and control yet have immense amount of power. this is just my point of view
I've recently bought 99 pro.. you're right this thing is stiff AF.. and I'm getting tired easily.. Any tips how to manage this ?? Right now my tension is nanogy 95, 28 tensions.. Does lowering tension help ?? Like getting it down to 24-25 lbs help ?? I think I've wasted money.. upgraded it from Yonex nextage.. Appreciate your response, huge fan ♥️♥️
Hi, I have 99 Tour White Tiger, and really like it, the handle is great and feels like all around racket although have BP around 310mm, is there any significant differences between the tour and pro? And is the 99 pro more head heavy and hard to handle, if it compares to 99 tour, thanks
Lovely bro. Was just waiting for it 🔥🔥. As i commented in previous video also. Can you please tell which racket is better in terms of power and speed as compared head to head between astrox 88d pro vs 99 pro.( For doubles)
ck yew, is it all astrox 99 pro , tour, game, play , have dual frame ( dual optimum system ) like duora ? backhand, forehand diffrent shape frame like duora ? i see description in yonex web
Appreciate the review as always! I wanted to ask, coming out of the voltric 80, I'm currently looking between the 99 pro, zf2 and the z strike. What comes close in your opinion?
Please reply me bro I just got astrox 99 pro and hands on its actually a masterpiece 🎉. I agree all the facts in video but it mentions maximum string tension 28lbs on website and shaft but I being professional prefer 32lbs😢. So can I actually use 32lbs I astrox 99 pro cuz it exceeds the advised ,and my mates also suggested not to do since momota is sponsored so he gets personalised ones to hold that high tension ,,... Since it's a flagship racket , what do you say can it hold 32lbs or not🙏🥲❓️❓️ Please advise me man , I trust you as an old subscriber❤.
Im planning to switch my aeronaut 9000 to this 99 pro . Had bought ax90 force tiger and found its hollow, not solid feel. Very spongy. Decide to sell it
Dang the handle is longer just like the Duora Z-strike. I didn't like that about it. I was about to buy an AX 99 Pro. You just saved me $300 dude! Thanks haha. Great review though!
My 88dpro broke . Planning to buy ax99pro for singles. How’s ax99pro compared to ax 88d pro (ik 99pro is more powerful but slower) but feel wise and other variables how’s it compared to 88dpro…please reply 😄
Your title suggested that there is a difference between the two colours but u did not really mention any difference in performance in that aspect. My stringer always tells me that between different colour schemes there will usually be a subtle difference in how the racket feels. Is that the case for these two colours?
Arcsaber 11 pro all the way, one of the best all round racket out there and user friendly. 99 pro on the other side is very demanding, unless you are a single pro with decent power and technique 😊
Great video 👍🏻 bought the ax99pro cherry sunburst 4u G5. Been playing with it about 3 weeks with aerosonic strung at 25lbs..CK, can we mix the string such as exbolt63 on the main and bg66 brilliant on the cross? Does it do any good?
You can always mix strings, there's not fixed rule to it. However, you would want to have a thicker string for the mains, and the thinner string for the crosses.
what if a beginner uses this racket? will it be possible to get used to it and do well with this racket? or will it just be very hard to play with it and impossible to get used to it
Since the head is so heavy i would hurt your shoulders cause you don’t have a good technique yet but it’s something you could try but if you want something more forgiving but still a high end racket go for the astrox 88d pro
this racket is more suitable for intermediate players above. u need proper training with coach, technique and very strong arm to handle this racket. even though im an intermediate player, it feels so hard playing with it.
@@CKYew Good control and good feeling on drop shot and net shot, very well smash performance but not too heavy. I feel it is a decent racket for me. I will give 9/10 rating for this racket.
Hello.. after watch your review, now I become not sure what racket should i buy for head heavy racket.. In my bag already got Astrox 88S pro its okey to play for all rounder playstyle but not feel good with smashing. should i get Astrox 88D pro or Astrox 99 Pro for head heavy racket?
They’re both slightly different. 99 Pro has a bigger sweet spot but is head heavier. The 100ZZ feel stiffer overall but has a faster swing.. different demands 😂
I recently another RU-vidr indicating it feels quite different between the cherry sunburst and white tiger. Do you notice any difference and which type of playing style that would better fit the two different color?
Yeah I had a question about the 99 pro what stings do you think go best for control for power for durability and what string looks the best as I saw the racket at the yonex shop in Japan on a video and it had a yellowish sting that matched the neon bits on the white tiger and I can’t figure out what string it is
Astrox 99 pro is a really heavy racket its incomparable with the 88s and 88d. When I do defense I do it sluggishly because it really is heavy so it really takes time adjusting
Do you have noodle arms? It is not heavy at all. I can’t believe you and other people actually think there is a major difference between 3U and 4u it’s only 4 grams, I have no problems and have never once thought or said “oh this racket is heavy my arms are tired after this 2 hour session”…
Hi, I would like to ask about how you string your aerobite string, what tension do you use for main and cross string? (Considering the cross string has thinner gauge). Thank you in advance
@@CKYew Thanks for providing detailed review as always. The Astrox 100 Tour is not yet available here in India. I'm an Advanced player and currently using Astrox 69 and like the stiff shaft, planning to buy either Astrox 100 Tour or Astrox 99 Tour based on reviews.
@@sangtea0885 You know that you are going to buy high end rackets right ? Since you mentioned only can afford one rackets. If you want to buy pricey rackets you better make sure by yourself. Those two rackets are 2 different specs and techniques demand. Unless you don’t want to regret bought wrong rackets, you better go to local stores and try it yourself side by side. That would be perfect if one of your friends have it and test it on court play. Next you have to analyze your style of play either suitable with head heavy racket or you prefer other. Trust me if you just watching and not test it yourself, it just like buy a car without know the machine inside.
Last time I really enjoy play double with voltric zforce first generation, spec 3ug5. I'm not sure 99 pro has the same head balance point with zforce. Maybe I should try it.
ZF1 3u for attacking of course I enjoy, but struggle a lot for defense..hahaha.. I also have zf1 4u in my bag & I totally dislike it, I feel lack of power..
@@CKYew Just watched the amazing 100 series video. Just a suggestion, after making 99 series , why not make Another video comparing Astrox 100 tour , game with astrox 99 tour game play and astrox 88 ( S/D) tour and game ??
Hi, i'm from Indonesia, may i ask you something? I want my string hybrid BG 66 Ultimax for mains and Aerosonic for cross. I can't afford the 200 meters reel so maybe i will purchase the 10 meters pack. My question is, will it be enough for two times stringing? Is 5 meters enough for stringing the mains? Or i need 5.5 or 6 meters perhaps for the main but then i can't use one pack for 2 times stringing. Waiting for your answer soon 😁🙏
hellooo, you'll need about 5.5m for the mains so you might not be able to do 2 rackets with 2 packs (unless you're happy to have Aerosonic for your mains in your second racket of course).
Thank you for your answer 🙏 So, Racket A. 5.5 ultimax - 4.5 Aerosonic Racket B. 5.5 Aerosonic - 4.5 Ultimax Like so? 😮 is 4.5 meters enough for the cross section?
Okay then, thank you so much for your response 😁 really apreciate 🙏 i will try to string hybridly ultimax and aerosonic, i'll tell you the result soon here, just for sharing info and knowledge 😄 in case if the other curious and want to try the same 😅
