Nice review. I've been thinking about Ezone 98 2022. I want to switch out from my current racquet prostaff 97 (regular v12, NOT-RF). looking for more power, bigger sweetspot, more foregiveness on off-center shots in comparison to the PS that I have. Thoughts?

Guys, good work with the review. I currently play with Ezone 100 2020. I can not decide between new 2022 Ezone 98 or 2022 Ezone 100. I look for more control, but do not want to loose stability and better plow that the previous Ezone 100 2020 offered over the Ezone 98 2020. Which one should I choose in this update? Any recomendation?

Hi Zulu. Personally I found both the new 2022 Ezones to be more stable than the 2020 model. In my opinion, I like the 98 over the 100 because of the slightly heavier weight and more flexible feel versus the 100, but if you are using the 100 now I would recommend sticking with the new 100 as it will be an easy transition to make. In the next couple weeks we have our in depth review of the Ezone 98 coming out, so keep your eyes out for that. - Jon

I have been using gravity S for more than a year and looking to go for an update. Ezone 100 2022 is the one that I am liking a lot along with Boom MP, but I am worried about stiffness as elbow pain has been on & off issue for me. Has latest Ezone gone softer than previous generations ? Can Technifiber RS300 also be a good consideration or any other racquet suggestions will be really great ? No demo options available at my place.

Hi Rodbernson, Both the Yonex Ezone and the Head Boom were strung with Head Hawk Touch 17 @51lbs. Grip Sizes L3 -Richard

Nice review! I am currently playing with the Clash 100 Pro (tour) - do you think these raquets have specs in common or are they more different?

Thanks Danny! I would say that the Clash 100 Pro(former tour) is relatively close to the Boom MP and 2022 Ezone 100, but it is heavier and the FreeFlex technology used in the Clash does give it a softer, more flexible feel. Of the two though, it plays much closer to the Boom MP. If you like the weight of your Clash 100 Pro, also consider taking a look at the Boom Pro. Aside from the headsize, it is the closest spec and feel wise. -Jon

hi i need your opinion. i m using the Dunlop SX 300. it would be the BOOM PRO a good change ? im an advanced player. Saludos desde Argentina.

Hello Pablo, It definitely would be a noticeable change. The SX300 has a larger headsize 100 compared to 98, Higher stiffness rating of 68 vs 66 along with a thicker beam width. These are two pretty different frames and could take some time adjusting to. IF you could let me know what makes you want to change from the SX300 I can make some recommendations for you. - Richard

Great review, so the Boom MP has a tad more control than the Ezone 100? Yonex seems to be upping the power of the Ezone.

I have been using the Head Boom Pro for a year. Loads of power but I prefer a little more control and spin. Would the Ezone 98 2022 help? Thanks

Hello Kev, After trying both these frames I found that the Ezone 98 2022 did have more control. Which surprises me since I expected with the thicker beam width, it would have more energy return. Also another thing I noticed was that even with it having a lower stiffness rating that it also played/felt stiffer than the Boom Pro - Richard

Hi all, the ezone 100 is too stiff and dense string, I must change other raquect for continúe playing, thinking head boom o wilson 104 v8. Whats opinión?

Hi Ferriere, Between the two options that you have here, I would personally have to go with the Wilson Blade 104. Reason being the Stiffness difference between them. Your current Ezone 100 is at 67RA, where as the Boom almost all models are at 66RA. The Wilson 104 has an 60 RA which will be much softer on your arm compared to the ones you have chosen. Along with the larger head size which will open up the string pattern. Another suggestion you might consider looking into would be the wilson Clash 108 v.1 It has a larger head and a much softer feel 55RA. Or if you are interested the V2 of the clash 108 is a little firmer than the Blade 104 63RA. I hope this helps! - Richard

The Blade V7 18x20 is closer to the Ezone 98 than either of the Boom MP or Ezone 100. The 18x20 is going to have more control than either the Boom or the Ezone, as well as having lower spin rates and lower launch angle than both. The other major difference from our testing was the higher swingweight of the 18x20. -Jon

It's actually more close to a Vcore Pro 97 than any of the Ezones as this racket has a similar stiffness at 60A

try hyper g 23/24 kg , go not over 24 kg. poly tour pro is also a good option.

How does the VCore 95 match up?

Hello John, I would say that it really depends on what your looking for in your racquet. I find that spin and racquet speed generation for the 95 is quite unmatched when comparing it to these two frames. I would say it has almost the same power level as the Ezone minus the lower launch angle and stiffer feeling response on the string bed. As for the Boom its almost the same as the Ezone. - Richard

For a beginner I would recommend you the ezone 100 l 285 gr ezone is more forgiving with the isometic head shape
