We'll see if Yordano Ventura has a sophmore slump in 2015 but I think he'll only get better. He has the playoff experience and almost reached 200 innings in 2015. The future is now.
I come back and watch this every year or so. Everything about this guy was must-watch. His violent, graceful pitching motion, his showmanship, his relentless competitiveness, and his electric stuff. It's so beautiful to watch him play, and so tragic that his life and career ended so soon.
I played with Ventura all through the minors this kid is humble as fuck with a great culture What happened with the White sox was bad mouthing from one of the six pitchers at Cain so Ventura was backing his team mates up He plays with his heart on his sleeve and he wears that royals name proud the kid has the livest arm in the big for any starter
Disagree. His curve and changeup are nasty enough mixed in with his 98+ mph heater that he doesn't need another off-speed pitch. Plus, the strain sliders put on the arm and elbow are well-documented, no matter how robust the pitcher is. A cutter, on the other hand, would give Ventura just enough right-to-left movement on his fastball to make up for the lack of a slider without much more work on the arm than a four-seamer or two-seamer would.
Disembow1280 agree 100% ....with an average fastball of 96 mph he doesn't need a slider....he's got a break to both side of the plate with his curve and change....a cutter would be nice, agree with that too.
He probably doesnt even need a breaking ball either! It just so happens that his second best pitch is the curveball, but his changeup is plenty good enough for him to do fine together with that monster fastball. Remember yohan santana?
Great stuff, left a lot of pitches high though. Guess you can get away with it when you throw 99, but if he wants to be an all star next level guy he's gonna have to improve location. Hope he does, I drafted him this year!
Dice la Biblia que debemos honrar a nuestros padres para que nuestros días sean alargados y lo que menos hizo Yordano fué honrar a su madre. Puede que por eso Dios se lo llevó tan joven
Hate on Ventura if you want, but the only thing he ever did was stand up for himself. Every time but once he stood up for other teammates. I was near the front row when he plunked Machado and I remember the at bat before when Machado looks at Yordano and calls him a "fucking pussy". Now a lot of people would let roll off his back but not Yo. The next at bat he beamed the shit out of him and deservedly so. Yordano was not afraid to stand up to any bully on the field or in life. RIP
Ventura is such a little punk. I ALMOST regret that I made this highlight. He's overdue for a knockout. Don't try punking out players in Los Angeles.. :)
So true! Kind of makes me feel bad for saying Infante is bad. The dudes elbow is about to fall off but yet he played last year and is still in it this year.
Ohhhh you "baseball Fans". Just want everything to be so boring, act like theres no room for fun and true emotion in the league, get the sticks out yal asses! This kid is competitive and has an amazing fire about him but you guys just want to call him a "little punk". Sports is entertainment, and Yordano definitely keeps me entertained both from his amazing skills and personality. ALTHOUGH he does need to step up his game, been slackin so far this year.
STL boy Talking shit to Mike Trout for no apparent reason? Saying "F*ck you" to Adam Eaton while throwing him out? Intentionally throwing at multiple batters? On top of it all, his ERA is one of the worst in baseball. Yeah, he's got room to be a pansy...
***** Eaton started it, he was chirping at the royals dug out all night. Last time a checked he only intentionally threw at Brett Lawrie and any pitcher would have done that in his shoes. Does he have a hot temper and emotions? Yes. But that doesn't make him a punk, he just needs to grow and mature.
***** eaton def started that. This kid will be a star one day, regardless of the attitude. He reminds of John rocker back in the 90s a little bit. Love this kid he's a filthy pitcher
I don't know why, but in the MLB when it comes to the Dominican players there's just an incredibly high level of unprofessionalism and immaturity. Which needs to stop it's just embarrassing. I'm not saying it's just them, I'm not singling out one ethnicity, but you just see it from them the most.
Dolly Alfonseca Girl get your bandwagon ass outta here, nobody was even fucking talking too you, And if your the best why the hell did you not even make the playoffs this year?
Your opinion sucks. Be grateful that I even posted this. Some people are never happy. If you have nothing good or relevant to say then don't bother commenting.
