Hey, Ash! Apologies for the mega delayed response. Appreciate you watching this, buddy. I’ve got your C2C series saved on my Watch List..will catch up when I get back to the Midlands. 🤓 Hope you’re keeping well! Mari 🏕
My Grandad used to take me walking and caving around Attermire when I was a kid, going up there now always brings back memories of him. It's an amazing place. You're brave wild camping up there though!
Hi, Rachel! Apologies for the delayed reply. Thank you so much for watching, as always..really appreciate the feedback. Visiting new places has gotta be one of the best feelings. Hope you’re doing well! Take care always. Mari xxx
Nice video Mari! Im slow catching up with youtube but this was a nice watch with my morning coffee! Great to see you guys meeting up, looked a great place to explore. The food and hospitality looked great!
Hey, Joss! No pressure, dude. I think everyone has been very busy with life lately..and trying to fit in adventures in between. Hope you’ve been keeping well! Anna is a good laugh, and also very hospitable. 💚 Have you got any outings penciled in? Cheers, Mari
Hey Mari how are you , nice to see you in my neck of the woods glad you enjoyed Yorkshire and your lessons in geography ( i learned something too ) what a lovely couple ATB . Nigel
Hi, Nigel! I am very good thank you. Just been very busy. Your neck of the woods is so pretty! And, actually, it’s geology rather than geography 🤓 I kept thinking it wasn’t geography but I kept saying it anyway. Appreciate your time..hope you’re keeping well! Mari 🌼
Well that was a lot of funsized goodness Mari. An easy hike up eh? And to a windy top to. Got back down buzzing though. The rest of the trip was great. My fave moment was the bluebell wood. It was something out of legend. It was all and very much enjoyed hosts and all. All the best out there. Mark
Hi, Mark! How are you? 🌼 Apologies for the delayed reply. I’ve not had much time for YT as of late. Really really appreciate your time & feedback. I’ll be returning your support very soon. Take care out there! Mari xx
@@FunsizedEarthling Hey Mari getting on me old mate. No worries about the delay. It was a pleasure to watch. I haven't been able to get our because of injury but gave uploaded some simple thoughts and moments. Have a great week.
Hi, Andrew! How are you? Absolutely agree with you. I wish I could stay longer, 3 days was not enough to fully soak in. Do you go there often? Cheers, Mari
@@FunsizedEarthling hi Mari, just got over the shingles so been out of commission for a bit,but organising a few day's away gold panning so looking forward tae getting back out, take care and enjoy life lass, cheers fae Pat
Fantastic video Mari, I remember Malham well, I hiked around that area many years ago. We also have a husky called Malham, she bit me once😪. We are freinds again now though. Will go and check Anna's channel now.
Timmy!!! Have you been keeping well? Apologies for the delayed response, I’m oot & aboot backpacking in Scotland at the moment. Thanks for watching & for the feedback. Naughty Malham 😅 Good to know your friends now though, did you bribe her with treats?
Only a wee bit windy 😳, it looked a scrambling route up to your camping spot. That looked a fantastic waterfall, never heard of it before, so will have to look it up. Always wanted to go to Malham and will do at some point this summer, it looks amazing. The woods with the bluebells looked fantastic, not that keen on the mud mind and how your got across that stream without falling in, I will never know😂. Cheers Alan
Hi Alan! Apologies for the delayed response, work & backpacking got a bit in the way. Haha! Have you been keeping well? Hope you managed to pencil in Yorkshire Dales, particularly Malham, in your itinerary this summer. 💚 Mari
@@FunsizedEarthling - I am looking at the forecast for Malham and also a real nice circular walk from Muker, going to be doing more walks from there in the future :O)
Anna and Alex seem like a really nice couple. Seems like a lovely area (plus I'm always a sucker for waterfalls) :) How did you find the Lanshan 1 coped with that wind? I'm always scared to use mine in an exposed area like that. Great vid as always Mari.
Indeed, they are! Such a pleasure to meet them. 💕 The Lanshan 1 did alright to be fair, considering it wasn’t even pitched properly. I was surprised it even stayed up. 😅 Have some faith in your Lanshan, it can handle a fair bit. 💪🏼 Which Lanshan have you got? Cheers, Mari
Great video, the voiceover / magazine style vid with other folk works really well and makes a nice change from the 'standard' format wildcamping videos (by which I mean the type a lot of people post all the time, not pointing the finger at you haha, but yes I do like those type of videos too, it's just nice to have it mixed up.) That was a steep climb on the first day but, for me, going up is usually OK (but slow) but coming down I would not be happy - did you come down the same way you went up? All the food looked ace, love that limestone pavement, and while you get orcs in Yorkshire you get trolls in Northumberland (and that's just the people lol)
@@north.by.northeast Haha! Don’t worry, I wouldn’t have taken offence even if it was directed at me..I value feedback. 🤓 So glad you liked it, I wasn’t sure how this film was going to work so I kind of just winged it. 🙈 Contrary to you, I prefer climbing back down, I have weak lungs so going up is always a struggle. Vegan food is surprisingly so yummy. I’m a big meat-lover & I never imagined there to be so many delicious alternatives! I probably would choose Yorkshire Orcs over Northumberland trolls 😅😅 Trolls can be quite annoying. 🙊 I hope they don’t roam around in your beautiful woods!!! Take care, Mari
GEOLOGY!!! That’s it. I kept thinking it wasn’t geography but I still kept saying geography 😂😂 Well, I’ve never been good at either anyway 🤷🏻♀️😅 Thanks for dropping by, Robin! Take care. Mari
I can understand why it would be Anna's favorite valley! 😁 It looked like such a great place to go for a hike! It must have been fun to meet them in person! ATB Kaat 😁
Hi, Kaatje! How are you? Isn’t it beautiful? So rugged, yet so pretty. ☺️ Anna & Alex were wonderful human beings, such a pleasure to have met them. 💕 Take care out there! Mari
Cracking wee video, Mari. And loved the info on Yorkshire slate/limestone. But if you ever pitch a tent like that again, I'll unsubscribe from your channel.
