Yoshimura R11 silencer dB killer / baffle remove when there is no bolt visible

Remove the dB killer or baffle from your Yoshimura R11 exhaust silencer. Mine came with a package on a new bike, but there was no way to take out de dB killer. Fortunately you can manage this by drilling a small hole on backside of the carbon.

I can confirm this works on the very latest r11 as fitted to the phantom there’s an actual embossed circle exactly where to drill

Hello, I have the same exhaust but year 2019, when I take the exhaust apart, I don't have this circle at the back and the inside of my baffle is totally smooth I don't see any screws. Is it possible that my version is a welded version? Thank you in advance.

I don't know for sure. But if you poke a hole in this spot you would be able to see if there is some sort of bolt. The hole is barely visible after drilling, as it is on the side of the tyre.

Hey, i have the same silencer as you, how is the bold inside ? is it welded ? or you have to use a screwdriver ?

It's just bolted on.... I used a hex key to twist it out... It went fairly easy.

By doing this, no way to turn back and put back db killer, right ?

where did u get a rubber cap for the hole you drilled?

Got it from my job... I think any hardwarestore can you out. Just remember the diameter.
