In this video I show how to install a Yoshimura Rs2 exhaust on a DRZ400sm. I also explain the 4 reasons why you may want to consider this exhaust system as well as a sound test comparing the stock pipe to this one. Thanks for watching!
Looks and sounds great! I have a 2019 S and have the same rs2 sitting here in a box waiting for my JD jet kit. Did you jet yours already? If so what combo did you end up with? I plan on leaving my spark arrester installed so not sure which main I should start with. 3X3 already done. Great content man, appreciate it.
I'm at sea level so I did 25 pilot with 160 main. About 2.5 turns out on the extended fuel screw. Seems to run good. I will try the 170 main jet as the instructions suggest soon and see how that goes. I haven't been using the spark arrestor at all. Hopefully I hear back on how yours goes!
Im at sea level too. I installed my yoshi 2 years ago with the 25 pilot and the 170 main jet. I knew it was to rick i could smell it. Road it that way for about a year. When i pulled the spark plug to change it it was really black. I reinstalled the factory pilot jet and went to the 160 main jet. It runs so much better. Check your spark plug.
@@NateAsaurus on longer rides I use the spark arrester. Going 55 plus from more then 20 min without the spark arrester the noise becomes annoying. But most of the time I have I out when I'm in town.
Yes, youll get the full power out of mods that way. Your bike will run too lean without it which can cause overheating issues. Your exhaust also might make pops which is bad
