I am prideful when dog training, which until now I saw as confidence, now I see the new truth-it is pride, & am committed to view my approach as my choice to do this or that is to.. . You may choose another approach& I can only speak from how I know you approach this. A change of perception. It hurts to see the truth-I live dogs, I love helping people with dogs, Pride, judgement I see now, doesn't help. With the absence of pride, judgement I can and will help in love instead. That's using the gift God gave me. May I be forgiven for many wrong approaches toward people in the past. Matt our Holy Spirit help me to do it His Way!!!
The fact that Christ has risen. I have followed the evidence and deducted that and given my life to him coming on two years in July. If I come off a good debate with an atheist where I feel like I did a bad job or I couldn’t answer his questions, I know that ultimately I am right about Christ being the sole savior of his children and that he has risen and will come again!
Haven't listened to the sermon yet but I feel like this is a trick question. Every time I'm right about something, no one cares. Its not a sustainable way to live my life. Some lady one time tried to win an argument with me by asking me "would you rather be right or happy?" Oh the irony. Because even trying to convince someone that being right isn't the most important thing is an act of trying to be right.

I needed this so much. God speaks thru pastor Craig. He is a great example of living in the world, but not of the world. We are all sinners. I'm going to an actual life church this weekend . I'm so excited . I hadn't been to church in 16 years so I look up life church and discover conveniently one is about 7 mins from my house, located in Rogers Arkansas . How cool is that ? I'm bringing my family with me.
If you look at the law about adultery , the “witnesses” unlawfully brought the woman before Jesus and the priests. Not only that, those witnesses would have to be the ones to cast stones. Since they were the ones who acted against the law, the penalty would have been death for them. This doesn’t mean the woman was not guilty. It does mean the others were not innocent . Your message is on point. If this example were presented this way, would it have better made your point? Good stuff

In my early 20's I'd probably enjoy the feeling of being right but today (age 34) its more of a deep modest feeling. I dont brag about it nor want attention. To put it bluntly, I feel awkward. Do I get random thoughts of anger or pride from time to time, which I know I'm right about a certain topic? Yes, but I dont go out of my way to prove a point, thankfully.

I struggle with loveless 'rightness'. All my life people have called me brilliant. 'What are you doing here?', they asked as a 4th grader sitting in higher grade math. Later, prison guards asked me why a person as brilliant as I, was locked up for as many years as the surrounding violent creatures. Maybe 30 sets of guards at 30 different prisons. Anywhere I was for any length of time, guards would invariably ask, "What's a guy like you doing here?" I was their pet monkey, a curiosity for some reason resonating with DOC-culture. They thought they had seem everything. Never a genius who wasn't a psycho. Another Jonah, except the concrete whale ejected me and I never went to my Nineveh. Just got on boat after boat, and storm after storm. I have fled from God my entire life. A brilliant person can always come up with rationale for actions counter to exponentially wiser council. For I am the great smarty-pants who discovered at least 1 error in every math textbook I ever studied. And how arrogant were my arguments to walk away from His Law, foremost? Rather.
Hello Jonathan, We are happy that you have joined us today. I read your message and was intrigued. I believe that one of man's faults is that man is given just enough of the knowledge (made in the image of God) that makes us believe that we can take this walk alone. I think we both know that we can't. It is in man's nature to believe that he has to rationalize everything that he can see. But if we are called (some of us don't even know or understand how that they are called by God) our eyes are opened. I believe that God opened your eyes. We have to hit the bottom sometimes to see. It looks to me that God has a plan for you. Not your plan, his. We just have to trust and follow him. Easier said than done. By what I read, it seems that you don't fit in where you are. Thats good. God wants you somewhere else. I promise that if you draw yourself to him, you will find that path. It may not be easy, but he picked you for it. I don't have a doubt that you can do this. By allowing God to lead you where he wants, you are in for one amazing ride. Take the lessons from your past, use them in your future, allow God to show you what he has instore for you. Look upon Matthew. He was great with math, didn't fit in with the world. God seen the greatness in him. I would love to say a pray for your Jonathan. Dear God, I come before you for your son Jonathan. Jonathan needs the flood gates of your wisdom to open upon him. Lord, protect your son as he walks the path of righteousness. Keep ALL evil ways from him. Clear his mind to see YOU and only YOU. Draw Jonathan close to you as you did Matthew. Show Jonathan what you want for him and what YOUR plan for him is. Showing him all the wonderful things that is your essence. Most of all wrap your loving arms around him and give him the fresh start walking with you every moment of his life. I ask this in the NAME OF THE ONE WHO CALMS THE RAGING SEAS-JESUS CHIRST YOUR SON-AMEN. I thought of this verse while I was praying for you. I hope it gives you some insight. There are many verses, But this one stuck out to me. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
