i most definitely agree with this man. mcyt just has a new format, and others have grown up with the old format. i think that unedited videos are boring, but that’s my opinion. and if the videos these youtubers created are working, good for them! they would have no reason to switch back. i think that these youtubers are often overhated and that people need to give them a break and a chance. also, it was a great video! keep doing what you’re doing my friend!

Man, it's really hard to choose a side, I mean you don't have to. But I feel like, at the end you just have to see for urself by experiening it all by your own in piece. Minecraft does not suck, I love everything about it, I finally understand its appeal again, after years of not playing, I fell in love with it again. Now look at me, now I am the one rambling. Wow.

I do like the new wave of MCYT. Its less about people playing the game and their reactions, its bow more about storytelling, and I quite enjoy that. It also takes more effort to tell a good story than just playing the game (be it with or without an online persona)

It is less so that the quality has decreased and more so that the quantity has increased dragging the perceived average down. The same reason why the quality of past music is thought as better as the requirements were astronomically higher with physical records and why certain sections of Western Pop music has declined to fighting for your attention with loud catchy earworms.

theres no good smps other than hermitcraft that are big because for a smp to be big it needs people who are active, have a wide range of skill and abilities and can create good content without overusing editing and all that stuff thats why lifesteal is declining, because everyone is just mega focused on "KILL EVRY1!!!!" My honest consensus is that modern Minecraft _doesn't_ suck and that people are WAY exaggerating its problems. It's still that perfect canvas it used to be, even moreso currently dare I say. On the corporate side Mojang does have a few bullshit problems but nothing that's the end of the world. But when it comes to Minecraft _content..._ Yeah, most of it, especially the trends, are absolute hot garbage. Generic slop content dominated by mrbeast-ified trash to entertain the 5-year-old Ipad kids with hyperactive editing, constant screaming and bright oversaturated colours. However, there are quite a bit of very welcome exceptions. For example Hermitcraft, _ALL OF IT_ has constantly and consistently good, even through Minecraft's worst times such as its decline in popularity. There are a lot of great Building and Redstone RU-vidrs still, that haven't swayed from their awesome builds or technical creations, there are a lot of new Minecraft content creators on the rise that are genuinely great and have a lot of potential..... Unfortunately though, these exceptions are few and far between, because creating generic garbage is way easier than... Actually good stuff. The fact that we do have a few beacons of light shining through the sea of burning dumpsers is great though. Also I'll mention that on your ''old RU-vidrs adapting to new style of creation'' point... Some have adapted better than other. Yeah sure, Hermitcraft's members have quite a bit of editing in their videos now too, but it isn't overdone, it isn't filled with stupid in-your-face popup text, it isn't annoying, it isn't clickbait... It is tasteful. I'm not saying we should damn video editing for good, NO, editing is amazing! The concept of ''Montage'' has existed since the late 1910s and dates back to early Soviet Union silent films, and it's been used spectacularly throughout the 100+ years of its existence... But now it's mostly used to create... Well, mrbeast style garbage! Well, I rest my case, and my answer to this *<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="266">4:26</a>* question most likely would have to be... The former. You see, I would never have to ''grow'' out of old Minecraft content, heck I started watching Minecraft with fairly newer content, that being the 7th season of Hermitcraft. And it showed me just how AWESOME Minecraft content can be. Why can't the rest be alike?

Yall know that even nostalgic Minecraft was dying around 2015-2018 and the game made a full recovery after, so why the hell yall are hating the game now?

There are good and there are bad videos that is a fact RU-vidrs will change to whatever is better in the long run not all of em there will be some outliers but you get the point For example i rly enjoyed watching SSundee play modded minecraft with his friends and i stopped watching because he would just post videos with modded minecraft/among us that were made specifically to get more kids to watch What i belive i enjoyed about his old videos was that he would post series compared to what i saw last time where he would just post 10 vids about whatever was more kid popular at the moment

There is so much content for people who want to look away from the hyperedited style of minecraft, I'd just recommend looking more and not hating on people who prefer content styles different from yours. (Some channels I watch that aren't too hyperedited are Todd13Plays, Wiredestroyer, theNardONE, buzzycombs, CaraRose, MC Oda, Pixlriffs, Da Lil Red) Generally, there really isn't a dearth of people that don't do this type of content, it is just that this content is hard to find

Watched both this and the technoblade video and lemme be upfront. I don't think you understand what made technoblade so great either! It's pretty obvious that his target audience was quite older than the "modern" youtuber when he was first growing his channel and that's really what it boils down to. Or maybe his fans at the time required less stimulation to keep watching like you said. Clever jokes and high production value bits will go over the heads of younger viewers, so why would anyone spend the extra effort on them if they're a modern youtuber? Technoblade didn't "talk down" to his audience throughout his time on youtube. That's what made him unique in my opinion, and why his videos feel so good to rewatch years later. I'll never watch any of the common "highly edited, optimized, blob" videos of today without the manufactured shallowness of them sticking out like a sore thumb (well obviously because I'm not 5 LOL). Where is their personality? I'm not saying edited videos are bad. I just think it's better when the editing contributes to the production value and not the retention value. One last thing - the belief that the front page of minecraft YT was better in the past is not nostalgia. Videos following that style are still very popular among the community and have their niche (among older players). I'm sure most of these players' "nostalgia" comes from their wish that this style of content be brought to the limelight once more.Whatever, that is my two cents.Yeah you probably know all this already.

Honestly, I think Minecraft is the best it has ever been in terms of the actual game. My main issue with the RU-vid Minecraft community is how at a certain point it was all just videos trying to 'one-up' each other which is overall harmful (in my opinion). The idea that each 'new' 100 Days or Hardcore video needed to be bigger than the last, leads to over-edited, and I don't want to say slop, but just content that lacks personality. It isn't JUST Minecraft RU-vidrs, and I get it, too. Who DOESN'T want a ton of views? But when it leads to an over-production and highly saturated community full of soulless copied videos wanting to get their 5 minutes of fame, it quickly becomes an issue. There are still very good Minecraft RU-vidrs out there, the genuine and actually innovative RU-vidrs I enjoy, Minecraft Video Essay channels I enjoy, it's just the over-saturation of - let's face it - channels lacking any real personality, don't appeal to me.

i will say dantdms hardcore world was way before 100 days and anything like that and the orgin of hundred days was from lukethe notable and also he was the creator of the fortnite 100 drops which makes sense fortnite is popular because you drop in kill people and drop out its fast so thats why it carried into minecraft making everyone copy luke and copy eachother with no originality and just garbage worst than minecraft girlfriend videos.

I do kinda high edit videos but its just clips of very funny moments in my opion while playing minecraft gameplay, why am i mentioning this? its because i think there's a way to please both audiences which I'm not Tryna do i kinda found it on accident but yea, i feel like the way someone becomes a big creator is by just being themselves in the videos and editing the way you want the video to played out that's how i try to do it and im doing alright, and i would rather have audience of people who like who i am and my content, then a audience of people who like the MRBEAST me, i think your video has kinda really showed that in a way that's hard to describe so Good video and it honestly made me type the longest comment I have ever made so if your videos can do that, then be ready for the next essay there coming at ya.

I do understand that you are going off of logic evidence and statistics to prove a point, but what's also somewhat true is there's not alot of unique and differently interesting content out there and if u do somewhat find a video like that, there would probably be a long period of actually finding different topic-ed videos.
