Does your city have any hidden/unknown places? Let us know if you want us to check it out! Also let us know if this Chinatown is valid in your opinion? Will you visit????
That's awesome! I'm 47 and grew up in the Boston area, and as a kid my dad would take us to Cathay Pacific in Quincy/neponset area and I LOVED that place! I miss the dark carpets too...oh memories! I'm in Indiana now, but I hope that place is still open and doing well!❤ Thank you and Grandpa for the great video!!!
Chinese grandma is a G, sleeping "ready roll" . You can take Chinese grandpa out of the trap, but you can't take the trap out of Chinese grandpa. Respect OG
oh wow! I haven't been to Chinatown in a long time because of traffic and hassle... I didn't even know China Pearl isn't there anymore? Wow. I might have to consider going to Quincy... great video! I gotta watch more of your channel... I am up here near Burlington, MA.
Thank you for your videos. I just found your channel recently and your grandpa hella reminds me of my dad who I lost less than a year ago. I love watching yall eat and make memories together!!
Love your show! We are Indonesian, and your Grandpa reminds me of my dad, albeit the Chinese version. I love hanging out with him and his old school ways. We share a love for food and laughter. I appreciate that you appreciate him. 🙏
Boston native here. I would argue Malden is the new chinatown of the Greater Boston Area and Quincy has been the better Chinatown than Chinatown proper for a while now. Similar to other major cities a lot of Chinese immigrants settle in Chinatown, but eventually overtime a lot move to suburbs surrounding the major city to create other Chinese enclaves. Example LA and their neighboring east heavily populated Chinese cities such as Alhambra or Monterrey park.
This is cool! Been to that Pearl restaurant for dim sum and its pretty good, not a huge fan of the cheungfun though. Quincy does have quite a lot of chinese food
Dum sim cover charge or tea charge in Toronto $2 each! Also I noted your grandpa like real Canton food especially Hong kong taste 😅 not much newly mainland China food . He has good food taste.
so so surreal to see somewhere I grew up around on RU-vid. I'm from Weymouth and I've been to these Chinese restaurants. I went to Kam Man all the time as a kid. it was literally near the Weymouth/Quincy line and like 15 minutes from my house. glad to see someone from around where I lived made it big! congrats!
Some of the best food and you will find in Boston as well as New York,La, Vegas, Chicago... But to be honest I've been to almost every Chinatown that is in America and I feel like Boston is my favorite one especially when it comes to food and the history. Also anyone living in the Boston Chinatown, I can tell you right now they don't mess around lol... My opinion tho Quincy's okay I mean it has like the 2nd highest Asian population in Massachusetts which means there is great food and obviously Boston is 1st, Quincy is 2nd and Lowell is 3rd but Lowell is mostly cambodians totally totally different and totally different food as well. Well I'm just glad you made a video show on some respect to the Boston community I feel like it doesn't get enough love especially the Asian community out there.
It all seemed so authentic and nostalgic right up until you tried to kick the bill to each other. We all know the Canto thing to do is fight to pay the bill!
hello tffshow, the lobster tower is to be visited with shells wrapped on still - it is a different bird's nest where purple potato (taro) sticks were fried into a nest with snow peas scallops squid leek flowers prawns in the bowl. never had any but ginger scallion lobster in ctown. the lettuce confetti is fun.
Haven’t even watched anything on the channel and All ready I Love it!!! Love from Pittsburgh y’all❤️ Haven’t even watched anything on the channel and All ready I Love it!!! Love from Pittsburgh y’all❤ Oh btw I wouldn’t eat raw pork from anywhere Got me?!
I love KAM MAN in Quincy! They have everything you want in there! So many good places in "New Chinatown" (Quincy) and OG Chinatown, to eat I was very excited to find your video going to places I go to!
In this video he talks about a new Boston China town and I was in Boston years ago and there was no such thing but it doesn't surprise me as Chinese food is very affordable and very good portions but most people I talk to like Chinese food
Being Born and raised in New Orleans Kam Man has been a sort of lifeline for me since moving here to Mass... ShoutOUT China Town! The Seafood and the best Korean & Japanese beers!!
You could make a day of it and walk over to downtown crossing and the Boston Common... their all walking distance 🤗 if you want you can even head over to Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall and the Harbor next to the Aquarium... it's a lot of walking, but so worth it.
This video popped up on my check this out list. Very entertaining, you have great chemistry with your "hired actor Grandfather". It looks like I've got some spots to check out next time I'm in Quincy. I know it's not Chinese food, but Bright Light in Quincy has really good Filipino and Jamaican cuisine you may enjoy.
I love these episodes bro keep it coming! Slide to San Francisco next time you get a chance but make sure you link up with someone from there before you go exploring! Gotham city but hidden Chinese gems of food!
Bruins Guy here! I miss North Quincy, every... single... day! So many good Asian spots, the Vivi's down there is great! Not to mention, very Muslim friendly with multiple Halal spots! Sadly, the housing market in MA is too expensive and it's the only reason why I can't afford to go back there. Glad you showed love!
Im litterly 4 mins into this vodeo never seen this channel in my life and im absolutley loving it you just got a new sub out of me what a greàt vodeo so far
Awww love the video of restaurants in Quincy, it’s nice to know there are new Chinatowns popping up outside the big cities. I live in xburbs, we only have a mini mall with a Chinese market, dumpling restaurant, noodle restaurant, and bank. Chinese Grandpa is the goat, keep it up!
kam man is awesome. i get lost just going up and down the isles for an hour, seeing what i can find. i'll get chinese sausage next time. now i have to try fairy cafe, too.
