In my experience the roman AI normally get themself killed early on by starting too many wars :(

You could also move your capital. In Divide Et Impera at least you can, idk about base game, I haven't played it in a while

Not really I completely left Athens and The other empire ( i can’t pronounce it or spell it) and I’m doing pretty great conquering a lot of other lands. And it’s my first time playing in the game Sparta seems like a very easy to play as

What about Corinth?

You really dont want to go there yet as sparta it will take too long... for me the best plan after doing this is Firstly you take thracia and move into asia minor Secondly after you take over some of asia minor you rebuild your reliability rating by not betraying your allies Thirdly after you accuire enough money for the war effort and a fleet move further into the east (selucids then armenia then persia etc.) After you take them over you will have a lot of extra money so you should upgrade your buildings to tier 3 or above and you should start looking at your ultimate objectives After that its going to be an easy steamroll anywhere you go so have fun dominating the remaining faction :)

@@Somebody_greekthere’s nothing wrong going south long as you build some type of infrastructure. Egypt/aftica is rich and fun to sail and conquer

@@Bubinni You know what I looked into it and the Greeks do pronounce it with a hard K. So actually no you were pronouncing it just fine. Most english speaking countrys do pronounce it like mass ah doh nee ahh though.

The correct Greek pronunciation is with a hard K sound. Like MAK-edon. The soft C comes from the Latin translation turning K to C, and the evolution of the English language adopting soft C's. Edit: Realistically, it can be pronounced either way.

Please tell me this is satire. MAK-edon is the original pronunciation in Greek. Through translation into Latin and English, you get your soft C sound. Especially with English. As English tends to favor soft C's over hard C's. There's also a faction called Arevaci in northern Iberia (aka Spain) and they are pronounced Are-uh-va-chi. But in English you would say Are-uh-va-see. This game takes place in 270BC. I'm fairly certain they're still following the hard C pronunciation. If you even played the game, you'd also know that even the English speakers who voiceacted this faction switch between hard C and soft C. I don't know exactly why they do that but whatever. This is some serious edge from a guy who ISNT a historian. But the SON of a historian. To put this into a simple term for you. The words are learned and pronounced according to English conventions, not the source language. The Greek word for Macedonia was Μακεδονια (plus or minus some accents). The κ is a hard C in Greek.

You absolute..... the name Macedon is pronounced with an extremely hard k when pronounced in greek and c when it is pronounced in English.Here is the greek word: Μακεδονία=Makedonia it is pronounced as you see it amd as you see the k is as hard as a diamond.😅You do not need to be a historian or archaeologist or anything else.You just need to hear a greek person speak.
