This concert was Broadcast Live from "Madison Square Garden" on ABC in October of 1974. The Chairman of the Board just entered having never rehearsed with the orchestra or director and crew. And, he departed as eloquentl as he had before entered.
Most people don’t know it but Frank was a generous man. He raised and contributed millions to children’s hospitals and children. He would visit the hospitals anonymously to play with the children and bring toys. He only asked that no one ever find out.
I saw Frank Sinatra in Chicago in the early 90’s. Unfortunately, he was in a bad mood that night. His son Frank Jr was the music conductor. It was apparent that Mr. Sinatra wanted to do a quick set and get off the stage. While it was still a thrill seeing him, how I wish I got to experience this performance at Madison Square Garden. He was thoroughly enjoying the evening & had the audience in the palm of his hand.
Well, Frank wasn't going to have a hissy fit at this MSG show, which was broadcast live, seen by millions of viewers. Even so, he lost in the ratings. A George C. Scott film, "Hospital" won the time slot.
Good graciousness. What an All Time Individual. What an Alltime Voice, connected to an All Time Heart/Mind. Very privileged to witness such events via Yourube. ThankYou to All involved in sharing this Joyous & competent offering. SO COOL. Ommm..👌🏻😇💖😇.
Foi uma das apresentações de Frank Sinatra nos anos 70 onde ele já começava bêbado... Um canalha politicamente, mas uma figura soberba cantando/interpretando. A voz. Aqui numa gravação singular de uma canção de Stevie Wonder em 1974 ao vivo, a belíssima "You are the sunshine of my life". Frank Sinatra com todos os cacoetes de bêbado foi magistral. Para sempre!!!
