“Every time you give your energy to something beneficial for you, you are casting a vote for the version of yourself you want to create, the version of you that you want to become” this sums up your video so well. Thanks for sharing
Awesome video! I’ve had ADHD for 17 years now and just finished Scattered Minds - really fantastic book. Loved your content before you mentioned ADHD at all - keep it up man 👏
Hi, Recently found you (or maybe you found me 😊). Appreciate your insight, advice and coaching. I believe what you say is true. With science to back it up. I try to follow your suggestions: Eat healthy, paint, be active, work, surround myself with positive people. I like to stay informed however, the daily news of the world hits me hard. I try not to let it, but as a super sensitive person it’s difficult. I try not to dwell on the bad news. Thank you for your videos.
Thanks so much for this video. I haven't been a big social media user, but I made instagram this year and started being more on it from april or so. I do find myself scrolling here and there, but most of the videos I see are pretty positive - funny animals, funny memes, deep quotes and stuff like that. At times I feel like I sort of need some humor in my life, especially having not that many friends, most are people from work whom I see only 2-3 times a week for a good hour or two max. I do try and focus on what I actually want to become good at, but sometimes I do fall into that gaming trap, where I spend most of my day just gaming. It frustrated the heck out of me at times (as in the game itself causes me to get anxious or nervous or mad :D), and sometimes it's very positive, but I can feel it not being good food for my energy, yet I guess the comfort and habit of it welcomes me with open arms every time I feel like "I don't know what to do." I have been cutting back on it a lot, but as with any "addiction", the only way to get past it is to find another thing to obsess over, and I haven't found that healthy thing yet... :D I used to think that I'd rather spend my days gaming than going out drinking and partying and making bad descisions. Not a very nice way to trick your mind into believing that gaming is more healihier haha. Bless you man!
thanks a lot for this video. Super helpful. But what should I be giving my energy to if i am not gaming or watching youtube or whatever? Or like before bed what should I be doing instead of scrolling? I am at a pretty low point in my life right now, trying to fix it
I am trans and I spend most of my time worshiping men and women and trying to understand gender roles. What do you make of worshiping both and gender roles?
No, if you give attention to an educational video about narcissism then you'll just learn about narcissism. Here's an example so you understand this more. If you give your attention to 12 hours of distractions and mindless scrolling how will that shape you as a person vs giving your attention to 12 hours of reading? I purposely used an extreme case to paint a clear contrast. Energy follows attention. Attention has formative powers on yourself and your life.
