Hi Katherine, Financial aid and scholarships for non-California residents are limited. Since we are a public university in California, non-resident financial aid is awarded based on academic merit only. If you have more detailed questions, you can talk with a Financial Aid advisor by contacting them directly: www.finaid.ucsb.edu/contact-us
Hi Kelli, UCSB’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships offers grants and university scholarships based on your Financial Need (as determined by your FAFSA or CADAA). We use your financial aid application information to determine if you qualify for need-based aid such as grants, work-study, or scholarships. You can find more information about scholarships here: www.finaid.ucsb.edu/scholarships.
Hi Brenda, we definitely recommend browsing our RU-vid channel for helpful tutorials and getting to know some UCSB students to learn more about student life at UCSB. Additionally, keep an eye out for our UC Application Workshops and Personal Insight Question Tutorials that will be help this summer! I would recommend joining our mailing list to stay up to date with the most current information! To do so, please visit our website by following this link: admissions.sa.ucsb.edu/connect/mailing-list.
Hi Rachel, financial aid and scholarships for non-California residents are limited. Since we are a public university in California, non-resident financial aid is awarded based on academic merit only. First year applicants are automatically considered for merit aid and awards are allocated should they be eligible. Some additional resources can help students find information on scholarships and loans available. If you have more detailed questions, you can talk with a Financial Aid advisor by contacting them directly.
@@UCSB4Me Hey! Is there a projected date at which financial aid offers will be released? If I did receive a merit scholarship, would it have been listed in the announcement of my acceptance?
@@j.a.gymnastics9572 Admitted students who applied for financial aid by the March 2nd deadline and are eligible for aid will be notified of their financial aid offer on the applicant portal about a week after admissions decisions are released. All eligible freshmen admitted for the fall quarter at UCSB are considered for the Regents Scholarship, based on their UC admission application. No additional information is required. Students were notified before March 16th if they had been selected.
