I think that it's better to go along with the video and understand why "What does what and why" but I still agree, DIM links are going to be vital when the new subclass hits us.
he has said before in the comments that with this "will it build" series that he didn't do it so that people can build it themselves. I agree that it makes it easier, but I also understand his reasoning.
Crafted round robin with subsistence and hatchling is excellent with this build. Never have to reload and hatchling spawns every precision kill. Easy 1000+ kills in onslaught.
One quick correction: you say a few times that the wanderer aspect suspends when you *throw* a tangle, but it actually suspends any time you DESTROY a tangle. Its the sticky effect that only triggers on throw. That synergizes super well with the rest of the build, cuz you get 2 unraveling hatchlings and a suspension burst that increases your fire rate every time a tangle pops due to any effect. It's incredibly good for the core of the build, especially when your grenade is on cooldown. I saw the thumbnail and got excited, this is almost exactly the build I came up with ages ago and it OWNS. Yours is definitely more optimized, I'll be updating mine to match, but the core loop has been my favorite om warlock since wishkeeper dropped. I've got my Wish-Keeper at level 55 entirely from this build. I jokingly call it my "I dont want to have to play the game" build because of how hard it snowballs through enemies. Great video!
@@daocommand85 I think the only legitimately required thing is hatchling refit catalyst (which you and everyone else probably knows, but I'll throw a description at the bottom anyways just in case). The rest is probably personal preference. I haven't experimented with a ton, but here's my set, the stats from it that matter, and my reasoning: Overview - IMO the most important thing to optimize in the whole bow is more arrows per second (APS?). It's more damage, but it also feels better to use, it's snappier and easier to react to things like missing a shot or an enemy rushing you. Accuracy and handling are next, find a balance that's good for you. Technically reload speed increases APS, but you only have 1 option for that and I prefer other choices in that slot. Base stability feels fine, penalties to it do push the kickback up enough to be noticeable so I dont like it getting too low. To that end... Elastic string (+ draw speed, -10 accuracy) - Better draw is better APS. You take an accuracy penalty, which is actually pretty bad cuz you want to be able to use this bow at long ranges, but we can compensate for that later. If you find you're missing headshots you had lined up try polymer string. It's a tad bit slower to draw, but still faster than base and is +5 accuracy instead of -10, which may be pretty significant. Fiberglass arrow (+15 accuracy) - this is just to compensate for the elastic string, which it does with 5 points to spare. This is a comfortable spot for me, I do notice a tiny bit of drift at longer ranges (I'm on PC). It reduces stability, but that's fine. This takes us to the same accuracy as if we picked polymer step 1, so we're getting better draw speed at the cost of some stability which I'm cool with. Another good option may be compact shaft (+10 reload, +10 handling) if you really don't care about the accuracy. Even better APS cuz it trims the reload animation, and with more handling to boot. The accuracy is noticably lower, so it might lose some long-range value, but it could be goated anyways. idk, try it and get back to me. Smooth grip (+5 handling, +5 stability) - honestly this one is 100% up to preference. I picked smooth to offset the stability penalty from fiberglass arrow, but tbh I think its probably better to just take polymer grip (+10 handling) and just deal with the -5 stability penalty. Idk if I'd take textured grip (+15 handling, -5 stability), cuz the handling on this bow already feels really high and -10 stability actually does feel like a noticeable kick. I personally don't like heavy grip, it feels a bit too weighty for my taste and the bonus to stability feels pointless, but on console maybe not. Hatchling - it's 100% mandatory for this kind of build, and probably just the best in general. You already want to be hitting headshots to get extra stacks, and it's so easy to do when you're suspending so much, so getting such a good boost for doing what you were doing anyways is just too juicy.
@@SageOfBlades poor choice of words on my part. You get the extra rounds on any target that can take a bunch of hits, but on the tankier ones like the Brigs and final bosses where you can dump a whole mag, you can get those type of totals. I have backup mag on mine so have 12 to start and on those beefy targets can get those numbers. On the Brigs and Servitors it also hits like a truck due to deconstruct as well.
@@pheonixeternal8981 The perk Deconstruct in the 4th collum "Dealing sustained damage grants bonus damage agains vehicles and cronstructs AND refunds ammunition." shooting something 4 times basically gives you triple tap/fttc for the rest of the mag but you dont need crits.
I dare thee to try the amazing invisible cricket build!! Which revolves around the Final warning exotic, the sixth coyote and enemies not being able to see you! Use this to clear the 50 waves of legend onslaught 🤘🏼 Weapons: -Final warning -Disorienting grenade launcher -Strand heavy with hatchling or anything you like (if it’s a rocket you could cover all three champs with this build) Subclass: -threadrunner -gamblers dodge -shackle grenade -whirling maelstrom -threaded specter Fragments: -isolation -warding -evolution -last one can be generation, binding or rebirth :) Mods: Helmet: -harmonic siphon -heavy finder -dynamo Arms: -harmonic loader -impact induction -focusing strike Chest: -resistances Legs: -recuperation -innervation -strand surge Class: -reaper -bomber -powerful attraction Artifact: -unraveling orbs -horde shuttle Fill in the blanks as needed, resilience and discipline as priorities. Game loop: Blind enemies with your gl, throw your melee to unravel, tag enemies with the final warning, hit stronger and surviving enemies with precision shots to clean up and get that bonus damage. Use the dodge to leave the specter and become invisible when needed as well as your grenade. Create maelstroms, threadlings and have a blast doing so :) Posted by Charlie (TIMELOST)#8226
Had a whole bunch of fun with Swarmers this season. I do have two suggestions for if you dont have the Bow or you're not vibing with it. Old Sterling with Rewind Rounds & Hatchling OR Rufus' with Demolitionist & Hatchling (Enhanced if you can!) Rufus' goes really well whatever the Aspects you're running you either have your Shackle for Weavers Call or Threadling Grenade ready to go almost always when you have 100 Discipline too. Mess around with Impact Induction? Melee gives Grenade energy (Might have that one backwards!) It gets a bit silly with Unravelling Orbs & Hoarde Shuttle!
Been maining this since lightfall started. If you like threadlings try thread of rebirth, works really well with the strand bow as well as semiotician and tusk of the boar if you go that route.
This build but with Final Warning would go insane. You would literally have threadlings everywhere because Final Warning unravels targets and the artifact mod Horde Shuttle damaging unraveled targets creates threadlings. It’s literally a whole damn army of those green bastards.
Yeah, Final Warning, Wish-Keeper, and Quicksilver Storm are all pretty valid here, and something like Round Robin if you wanna free up exotic. Bear in mind that Wish-Keeper is a longer range than final warning and does have hatchling, and you have plenty of ways to unravel without Final Warning in this build, so I'd actually support the Wish-Keeper option here
I genuinely think Final Warning outclasses Quicksilver Storm in super close range combat. It's so much more streamlined and still rips things to shreds.
@@micah_up Seems like a good reason to look for content creators who provide said link for similar builds. Dude is litterally copying a build from his discord. No real reason to prevent easily accessible build link for your audience, unless you just want to force them to watch your video to the end for metrics.
@@Retpal94 yeah him not knowing that weavers trance procs grenade kills kinda turned me off for the rest of the video, bro is a buildcrafting youtuber and doesnt know one of the most core mechanics for strandlock
So I have been using a build just like this for a while now. I go between the bow nd and basically any strand weapon that has threadlelings. One thing I see that can make it that much better is you are constantly leaving threadling grenades behind, ones close to you you should throw them as they proc your unraveling, and shoot everything you can see as they also start to proc everything. There are times when my screen just glows green, and nobody can see anything. Old sterling with threading works awesome, and so does a worked perpetulas. I go back and forth just because I get bored and like auto rifles. The final warning works for close quarter maps as well. Definitely play around with weapons. Super fun build.
I just tried this out and I'm really liking it with a Demolitionist + Onslaught Marcato-45 LMG. Eating the grenade for weaver's trance reloads it. Kill a few adds for Onslaught stacks and rev up for major/boss damage. Also was using Wild Style w/ Envious Assassin and Collective Action + Disorienting.
I actually used this build today with randoms to get the 50 wave Legend Onslaught completion! In my opinion this is a far better Strand Warlock build than the Necrotic Grip/Osteo/Thorn build. The amount of Crowd Control you can do with this build is wild, and the Threadlings do respectable damage with all the Unraveling. Thank you so much for this build!
Change to buried bloodline, Vengeful whisper with tempo and hatchling Bloodline gives devour and very easy to keep up time due to unravelling and threadings killing everything
I played this build with two Orpheus hunters and we struggled a bit killing the tormentors. Do you have any tips on what weapons you used between you and your teammates?
i find it funny that i kind of had that exact same build, just without the swarmers i i didnt have that till i did the wish quests, works like a charm lmao
The wanderer is kind of redundant here, the only other benefit you get would be that tangles attach but the other 2 are already part of the overall synergy without the need of this aspect (swarmers already make threadlings apply unravel hence tangles, and weavers trance already makes you suspend via ANY final blow). I would suggest using weavewalk to have theadlings on demand, yes you do lose one fragment slot but the benefit outweights the cost. Hear me out: people will often pair weavewalk with weavers call and threadling grenade BUT, weavers call is a hit or miss aspect depending on the activity. For things like nightfalls or legend Onslaught you want a steady stream of threadlings going one at a time, you do not want to throw 11 threadlings at a time or else you'll be without threadlings for too long. Weavewalk can work just fine despite consuming melee energy since melee recharges faster after the fist one is full (each additional melee cuts the previous one cooldown in half); you want to stay on your third melee charge for weavewalk to produce threadlings and maybe the second one if you need to survive, with practice you can even squeeze an actual melee attack here and there. The key point here is that you're replacing one melee charge for 5 perched threadlings that go one at a time at a steady rate. As for fragments definitely go with warding, evolution and generation.
Yes Weavers Trance does count as grenade kills. If you use triple firepower and the poison warlock build, you make orbs every single second. Pretty nuts. Great vid!
Combat Medic Hunter 100 mobility, 100 discipline. And 100 resilience if you can get it. Alternate acrobat dodge to make team mates radiant and healing grenade. Ult is up to you. Knock em Down, On Your Mark Ember of Tempering, Solace, Singeing, Benevolence, Mercy Aeon swift- Sect of Vigor (or Sect of Force if you prefer more damage) Any solar weapon I use auto rifle with incandescent.
imo the build is better when you just main Indebted Kidness. Indebted Kidness is OP for onslaught. Build into it with special ammon finder, arc surge etc its a beast. Pair it will gally or an explosive light Apex and you good to go. Bows just aint the pllay in onslaught imo. You are better off with quicksilver or the final warning
you sure you showed the right summary screen at the beginning?.....i saw Mactics with nearly triple the kills of teammates, yet you said you were carried lol
I can attest to this build being OP. So much so, that my clan mates request it when we’re doing 50 waves. When I saw hatchling was a perk on this bow, I immediately knew how nasty it would be with swammers
Dood! Ive been keeping this one to myself, been rocking this exact build for the entire season, and yes it does absolutely SLAP!!! I’ve found this build actually has more crowd control than Tether Hunter. Wish Keeper is such an underrated and overlooked exotic. You should also add that Wish Keeper should have the Threadling refit.
The crazy thing about this build is you could use something like a rufus with demo to get your grenade back faster and you free up an exotic slot. Obviously the bow and quicksilver are great, but I can't help but think about using rufus+buried bloodline for infinite healing as well plus devour will grant more ability energy regeneration.
The suspending burst yes and no activates from my personal testing and playing a lot of onslaught tested. It seems like a 50/50 chance that they all activate or at least one of them will activate with it. I've had sometimes where I've gotten an orb to drop but no class ability energy and I've had other times where I got a ton of class ability energy and dig an extra orb at all. It just seems to be random.
same for me,it does seem to be inconsistent since you have so much unravel and threadlings going on its hard to make sure the suspending burst is what gets the kill and not anything else. The three orbs mac got there had 1 orb from thread of wisdom as that spawns of killing any suspended target,1 from reaper and not sure whether the third was actually from firepower or the siphon.
You only get orbs from siphon mods on weapon kills, so you can't get an orb from both a siphon mod and a firepower mod at the same time. Rapid ability kills will occasionally give orbs at base of the game so you likely got the grenade final blow... one for that reason plus one from firepower and one from your subclass spec.
I completed my first legend onlsaught with this build. My fireteam couldn’t believe how much it was good. My friend I did my run with prefers threadling builds instead of suspension, but he changed his mind after seeing me cook everything on the field 😂
Been rocking this build and the ONLY thing I changed is get 100 discipline with the new demo chain forbearance so you can swap thread of generation for thread of rebirth. EVERY bow kill spawns a threadling. Sometimes 2
Alt weps Rufus with demo/threadling as you mentioned but Eyes of Tomorrow for the heavy. In onslaught you basically get your rocket back for free [only need to get 4 kills] and it's hilarious with weavers trance.
This aint nothing, try this with the rift makes threadlings and wanderer aspect, threadling grenades, and the fragment where strand weapons make threadlings. Use everything else the same and final warning sidearm. Just run around hipfire charged shooting sidearm and spam grenade rifts for threadlings. I promise you've never seen more threadlings
That’s a different fantasy, that wasn’t the goal here - It is actually an amazing build (personally tweaked a little for your liking) but this is suspend brother not hatchling based.
This build is awesome. I’m excited to try these variations. Unfortunately I don’t see it being as strong in high level content in the future without horde shuttle, it just makes up such a large portion of your damage output. The crowd control is still gonna be nuts and is perfect for onslaught though.
The synergy for the ashes to assets “might” even work with demolitionist, therefore, I think a marcato with demo and golden tricorn will synergize nicely with this build, cause if it works the way I’m thinking of, tricorn would be up times 2 most of the time!
That's crazy! I use the same build but I use vengeful whisper with archers tempo/Hatchling and buried bloodline. HIGHLY recommend trying this, you're incredibly tanky and the weakening from the BB caty is mental!
I had this build almost exactly like his that I’ve been using for a while and was thinking of submitting it glad someone got the word out there about how good it is
I use a very similar build, just using the Eye of Another World for extra 50% + speed at recovery for my melee, grenade and class ability. I like to run Scatter Signal + Indebted Kindness but the problem of running out of ammo is still present so I'm definitely giving a try to the bow.
I use that same strand tangle build except with necrotic grips, thorn, and usually a forbearance and an edge transit. The DOT from thorn and necrotic means I dont need to focus as much on small ads and they auto tangle everything else
Pretty solid build, especially when you can hit the right notes on the gameplay loop (sometimes you're still competing with teammates for kills or to proc certain things). But man, one it rains it pours. The entire screen turns green!
Amazing build and video! Only thing I would change is the fragment that gives orb for defeating suspended targets to the one that makes suspension last longer.
Hey, I have a flavor of this build after I got bored of my strand grippy warlock! Nice! Apparently, the exotic was bugged at one point in the past, so that may be why it wasn't more widely used and is just now getting mainstream attention. Wish the pants were less ugly, though...
This build with Thorn and Necrotic Grips is dirty. You not only get all the suspend effects you have poison spreading as well. You tag the high health enemies with one arcane needle melee and you can melt them insanely quick with thorn.
Personally run a crafted Perpetualis, Indebted Kindness w/ Permeability and Leviathan's Breath in the same build more or less - still gives you full coverage of champions, but lets you stunlock bosses and offers better single target dps in my experience.
It's a great bow. Awesome on hunter with sixth coyote too. I usually run something aimilar to this build with thorn+necrotic grips. Eat grenade, throw melee, blast away.
I dunno why I I didn't think of this yet. It's basically the old Osteo striga build. Swapping the necrotic grips for swarmer's and the striga for wish keeper. thanks!!
The extra suspend from bow can be overkill. Can replace it with weapon of sorrow (osteo, thorn etc) + necrotic arms for more aoe damage instead + just throwing a melee once in a while to start unraveling a whole lane lol.
10:04 I think one of your orbs was from Thread of Wisdom definitely (threadling eliminated a suspended enemies), and another was from Reaper definitely. The 3rd orb could have been from either the siphon or from firepower
@@MacticsG1 It could still be siphon orb too. Because, and correct me if I'm wrong, if the threadling from the weapon's hatchling perk gets a kill, that counts as a weapon kill. Again, I might be wrong on that.
@@MacticsG1 I also did see a random reddit comment that only if the actual suspend action from Weaver's Trance gets a kill will it proc Firepower. Haven't tested it myself, but just wanted to relay that too. I think that goes for bolstering detonation and momentum transfer too. They might only proc when enemies get hit and suspended from Weaver's Trance, not for damage you do with weapons to those suspended enemies.
I tweaked the weapon load out to more suit my play style. I just suck with bows, and I don't have the rocket launcher or sidearm. I kept the armor and subclass build as is but run a crafted Rufus Fury with Reconstruction and Hatchling, Sunshot, and an Envious Assassin/Hatchling Circular Logic LMG and this build still slaps. I'm an add clearing, orb shitting, green spraying vending machine.
Specifically for Onslaught, Crowd Control builds are better, in my opinion. For example, Stasis builds like Shadebinder with Osmiomancy Gloves "Stasis turrets", following by Broodweaver with Necrotic Grip and Thorn.
I just have to fiddle around with my Swarmers build a little, but I'd love to run this with my "Bones of the Threadling Queen" Warlock fashion. I wonder if the build will also help carry my friend through Legend Lightfall. Testing will begin.
