At this point he didn't care at all about a finger because his mind was focused in revenge for his family so i dont think he gave much thought about loosing a finger but his commitment to it was fucking scary imagine taking 2 seconds to decide if u want to keep your finger or not
@@ladjame8109 nah he never really liked being an assassin and he never wanted to be one, the only reason he became an assassin was to for revenge of his family and the same goes for why he decided that fast to cut his finger Ezio confirms this himself at the end of Assassin Creed revolutions.
In all retrospect after awhile the sacrifice woulda just became a dead giveaway who was an assassin and who wasn't just find a person missing that finger and kill them
@@Th3_b3an They actually didn't. Remember, the Animus isn't a 100% accurate simulation of history, it's a representation of certain individuals' memories. Altair, Ezio, Connor, Edward - being an Assassin was a huge part of their lives. In their own memories, they were always wearing their Assassin's robes, from the day they joined the order. Most missions, they dressed to blend in with the crowd. The only exception to this would be missions in which they had to wear a specific sort of disguise (for example, one occasion where Ezio had to dress as a minstrel). Since wearing a specific outfit is an important part of that memory, it sticks out.
@@thegamingmerc2255 A genetic memory implies that the memory is tied to what they saw, not percieved, hence why everything can be processed to the minute detail.
I finished his Dlc in brotherhood man his so good character. We need more great characters like him. New games try to much and is not the same the mokup and lip sync is terrible and the voice acting on new games are.... meh
The best part to me is that bayek did it by accident because be wore it wrong and then the people he helped just assumed it was done on purpose to "prove ones commitment"
@@Bayerischer_bua he did that by accident. And it wasn't because the blade required the sacrifice he used it perfectly before that. So it's a goofy retcon
Whenever i get to this scene, i always put the Altair skin on. So when Ezio reverts back to the Altair outfit, his finger's like: "Fine. I'll do it myself"
To be fair when Ezio officially becomes an assassin he has his finger branded too. Those tongs have the assassin symbol stencilled in and its branded onto assassin's fingers you see it in a cut scene
I dunno, bayek was pretty enjoyable, everything except the stupid whife. And 3 was ok, except for the part where you have to play as hatham. And black flag is pretty good and rogue is good. The only thing that makes 2 so much better is how pure it is, it’s just from a different time when they were passionate about the story and so the parts meshed. It has weak points to though, like the memory areas in revelations, not good.
First time I've seen a cut scene from AC2 with the original voice acting. I played it with german VA and I gotta say: Leonardo's german voice actor sounds almost exactly like the original VA
Leo: Ops, Ezio I may have miscalculated the trajectory of the blade... I'm sorry pal but I think you're now left handed Ezio: *Panic screaming at the background*
I'm kinda new to the AC franchise, yesterday I was playing AC2 and I literally panicked when Leonard was about to cut Ezio's ring finger... I totally fell in his joke 😂😂😂 Damn you Leonard, I can't hate this guy, he adds that comic and funny essence to the game
Finger wasn't cut all the waydown to the hand. altair and probably his brother assassins had fingerless gloves to about a few centimeters from the first nuckle.
You know I remember first finding this out Assassin's Creed fan from Black Flag having not known this yet. I do myself I would willingly give up my finger
It makes it so much funnier when you realize the assassins have been placing the hidden blade on wrongly it doesn't go underneath the wrist it goes above the wrist like in AC Valhalla
Actually the correct way of wearing "HIDDEN" blade is to keep it HIDDEN from anyone and your enemies, so it was only the most logical way to put it on the inside side of the wrist rather than on the outside side of the wrist. Plus if we're talking about the "correct way" of wearing the blade then assassins should have worn it on their right hand rather than left hand, just like Darius have worn it ☺ but here comes a problem if they would wear it on right hand any handshake in a crowd would become impossible to do since everyone would see big ass blade on the side of your hand while handshaking. It could also activate on accident and hurt the person you were handshaking.
Funny. This probably was misunderstood from way back during Bayeks time as the leader of the hidden ones. He lost his ring finger in a fight with the hippo to save himself. Obviously at the time it wasnt meant to be this. But its fun to think that assassins after bayek believed you had to lose it.
Connor honestly still looks fantastic. I say do an actual modern day AC game. I wanna play as a modern-day Assassain, infiltrating Abstergo, going into cities, walking around,- going to black markets for weapons.
@@5ch4773n. when I played AC1 for the first time, I always thought the finger had to always be cut because of the blade opens up next to the hand. But because of Altair improving so you don't have to get your finger cut off or accidentally chopped it off due to the blade opening up unintentionally. It wouldn't make sense for Lucy to just cut the finger off because she would be using the upgraded version of the hidden blade which doesn't require finger removal. So it's why I think Lucy removed her finger as a way of still showing respect to the assassin's regardless if she uses the upgraded version of the hidden blade. Edit: damn I didn't read your comment correctly and I always thought she actually had her finger cut off.
The original design of the hidden blades were crude and just so happened to cut the ring funger when activated. Something about the mechanism being too flush with the skin and too close to the finger. To prevent that, the ring finger was to be cut off. As more brotherhood were made, it was eventually changed so that the mechanisms was safer and teh chances of an injured hand were much lower.
