Im a Sadako main and can barely tell whats going on anymore. I paid very close attention during the PTB but these last minute nerfs ruined everything

I dunno how, the counterplay has always been to get a tape early, drop it off whenever you can, and grab a new one right away.

@@fel524 She was very healthy to the game. That's not to do with her power level which was leaning on the weaker end. That's what made her nerfs even more frustrating.

Yeah she is a painful to play rn, especially against survival with friends let alone swfs however, i managed to get a few normal 4K’s against survs with friends (with 5 gens done and no tunneling) although it was hard to pull off. So yeah its possible but hard

​@sickfuckingshit ptb onryo would lock in your condem. So it incentived hooking players. Now if a survivor has 5 stacks, and I hook them first time, it's only 2 stacks that'll stay. And 4 stacks on 2nd hook.

Basically they buffed her chase and nerfed condemn, but that was the fun part of her, so is just a nerf afterwards

I really don't think 3 locked in stacks for the first hook is enough to justify going through a chase with any survivor. Teleporting around or slugging will still be the efficient play. To encourage chases first hook condemn stacks need to be 4. The other changes are good but clearly baby buffs. Overall, better than before but still not where she was in the ptb. I would really appreciate if willie made a video or comment on it.

TLDR; the play style and perks require him to not fully commit to certain survivors so that he can keep pressure as well as his perks as strong as possible. With Onryo, there is an effect called Condemned. Every time the Onryo teleports to a TV, any survivors by another TV will gain 1 stack of Condemned. Once a survivor hits 7 stacks of Condemned, the survivors icon will turn red and the Onryo is able to kill the survivor. In this video, his play style is to get all 4 kills that way, so he methodically teleports to TVs where he knows survivors will be. This will fill up their Condemned stacks and stop survivors from delivering tapes. Whenever he commits to a chase, survivors can remove stacks of Condemned by retrieving a tape from a TV, and delivering the tape to another TV. When they turn off the TVs, the TVs are off longer. When Onryo teleports to a TV, it will turn off, but for not as long. With his play style, he makes sure to keep the TVs off by teleporting to them while also adding more stacks of Condemned, keeping his pressure on the survivors the entire time causing panic and misplays on the survivors. The main reason he's really ignoring some survivors (mainly the Obsession) this video is because he is using perks called Save The Best For Last and Play With Your Food. These perks have tokens, or uses, that you obtain by doing what the perk states. For instance, Save the Best For Last makes the cool down from attacking faster. When the killer attacks survivors who aren't the obsession, STBFL gains 1 token (up to 8, stacking 4% attack speed with each token) but when he attacks the obsession, STBFL will LOSE 2 tokens. Kill the obsession and the killer cannot gain anymore tokens for this perk. Play With Your Food works in a similar fashion, but this perk increases the killers movement speed by 5%. This perk can gain 3 tokens, but spends 1 token with each attack. To get tokens, the killer has to enter chase with the obsession and let them escape the chase. This is why you see him effectively ignore survivors. (The obsession is the survivor with a large claw like symbol that is around their survivor portrait on the in game HUD)

@@1seroriginal survivors can literally stop her from teleporting very easily. Walk over to the TV and shut it off simple, literally one of the easiest things to counter. Survivors can stop her from teleporting and she has nothing that helps her in chase. Dredge came out right after her and can teleport to lockers with no downside and has anti-loop and nightfall.

You still get Condemned if you have a tape with THIS rework. The only reason you pick up tapes is similar to V1, where you could get rid of 3 stacks by depositing the tape (but now you don't gain passive Condemn by having the tape, similar to V2)

She was reworked in the ptb, and the fucking nerfed a rework that was just, nice nothing near overpowered. But Blight got buffed Add-ons. BHVR dont understand a shit, and this is sad
