Brilliant contraption! This suits my needs very well. Other designs may be more compact, but don't allow for a nice facade above the output chest. I also like the feature of being able to access the Shulker Box. This helps heaps when troubleshooting. Like you mentioned in the video, they changed the way redstone behaves, which made my old loader break. Having the Shulker Box accessible would have made my job much easier.
This is exactly what I needed for my storage system. Something that is not over-engineered and easy to understand. May be it is not fully hopper-locked and may cause a bit of lag, but is really easy to understand and use for redstone newbies. Thanks 😃😃
Glad you liked it! Yes, I try to keep the hopper unlocked 'cause it makes it simpler, but I do know that for a massive array I may need to design one with locked hoppers. Still, hoppers are not nearly as laggy these days as before.
Thx! Glad you like it! So, the observer is being pushed down by the sticky piston and when it does, it sends a pulse through the barrel (a solid block). That pulse is then read by the repeater. If it was a hopper instead, the pulse would power the hopper but, since it is a transparent block, the signal would end there and not reach the repeater.
