Well, maybe this is complicate repair 🙃
...and here you wont be able to buy new neck)))
~~~~~~~~
Also I want to duplicate summary of scammer situation, because this is really upsetting me.
More and more often you write to me about scammers! It's a very unpleasant thing for me and I don't know what I can do to protect you from this. I try to post and write about it as frequently as possible. Block and report asap. But it is a plague of social medias and especially YT.
And most upsetting thing that they using my "image" (girl, from Ukraine, bonus - from eastern part of it, you get it, right?), just to rob you. I mean yes, I have certain needs, because I am from Ukraine, and I am from the part of Ukraine that is occupied, from a small town of Severodonetsk, in the east of the country, which, unfortunately, is almost destroyed! And now many fraudsters use this information and your kindness, adding different variants, such as "sick sister"!
So once again - I am never do any giveaways, and I never reach to you directly with some trashy stories about brother in jail. I am here to show you slice of my work, have a chat, and (in some way) entertain. And I love what I`m doing :)
But if you want to support me - remember the best support you can do is to view video, leave a comment, subscribe and share. Don`t fall for scam, hugs for you all ❤️
And if you want to support channel and me, here THE ONLY ways to do it.
🌞 / shpachuk - you can get 3 different subscriptions, with different bonuses (1, 5, 30 dollars)
☕️ www.buymeacoff... - these are ordinary donations, or collections for things I need. The main thing is, of course, the house for me and my family, for which I work and save money from all your views, but you can speed up this collection by throwing some comfortable amount to the Wishlist :)
📺 Sponsorship on the YT channel, where there are also 3 options for 1, 5 and 30 dollars with the same bonuses as Patreon.
🌚 www.shpachuk.com/ - here you can support me by purchasing merch and tools that we do in our shop for yourself!
That's it, there are no other methods! No more mailings, messages that we need to chat in person or you won something, replies under your comments of similar nature or something like that :)
You are a True Luthier. Watching your work puts me in a trance and I feel at peace. You don't cut any corners like using power drills on taking things apart. Even putting on strings no power drill. I love watching your videos and I am a huge fan of what you do. I wish I had your skills and youth. When I do a simple fret leveling and polishing the frets my hands get calist and cut and bleed. All by hand for 6 or 7 hours I am hurting and exhausted. Arm and hands are fatigued and sore. I'm 57 years old and have Arthritis. Watching you work I am jealous. You are very special and talented. My name is Gary and I am watching your RU-vid channel on my Mother's log in on RU-vid and I am not Elizabeth by the way. You make me happy to learn and watch. 😊😊😊😊😊 Stay Strong and keep up the perfect work you are doing.
I have taken many online lessons and still don't have a through knowledge that I feel I should have. I am 68 years old and have arthritis in my finger joints. I have built many "parts casters", they call them here in the US. I can buys all the parts I need and assemble them. I have learned to set them up for optimal play sounds. Keep up the beautiful work. I just found your channel! I absolutely LOVE learning how to be a luthier, or "stringed-instrument repair person" (since i probably won't be building any from scratch). I love learning from you, Tanya. I can't believe that truss rod was glued in that way. Seems like it would defeat rhe purpose. Maybe whomever at the Gibson factory thought its only purpose was to "stiffen" the neck, lol. Anyway, good job! Thanks for posting the videos! 24:33 i see how you drilled the hole through the cut for the fret wire, so you could glue the fretboard back in the exact position. I would've thought you'd do this before ever removing the ftretboard. I'm confused by a couple of things that seem out of sequence: Ok, i watched you remove the old truss rod, then you routed out the groove. Why I'm confused is, why did you glue a piece of wood in the groove, shave it down flat with the surface, including scraping it, then proceed to route it out again? After that, the sequence seemed to be correct, where you put in a new truss rod, glued a piece of wood in the groove over it, then filed, chiseled, shaved, scraped and sanded it down flush before gluing the fretboard back. Could you either narrate in future, or put text in to explain in future? Thank you!
for separating the fretboard, i wonder of using monofilament fishing line would work to cut through the bond of the glue rather than having to pry at it with the putty knife. you would have to wrap it around some dowels or something to grab onto, but i think it could work quite well. very durable and you could sort of floss it back and forth to glide through the glue. you may have to insert some sort of wedge or a card or stacked veneer every so often to keep things separated but i think it could potentially work and save some time and effort. just a theory though.
Wow. Good job. That was very stubborn. I had to disassemble a neck once. I found it easier for me to heat the blade with a Heat Gun. Just blow that hot air on the blade and work your way through with that. Or you can heat the blade with a propane torch. And of course you are using that Hot iron on top of the fretboard. Oh that little Dremel is nice. You can get a lot of good miles on that. Very good job.
Amazing work! I couldn’t stop watching!! That truss rod removal looked soul testing. You’re a fantastic luthier, with great attention to detail.
Wow I have watched this video at least 4x. I'm very impressed how amazing she is . This gibson looks better then it came off the line at gibson. Fantastic work ! Wish I had a very skilled tech like her working on my bass's. After 32 years of playing. It's not easy finding a great tech like you. Thank you for this video.
