It is finally time to intall our 6.0 LS engine in our 72 International Harvester Metro Mite Postal van for good now that we have a newly rebuilt 4L60E transmission and torque converter. We are also going to finish up our cooling system, plug in out @HolleyPerformance Terminator X Max ECU, and build a custom side pipe exhaust system with a set of Austrailian Lukey mufflers that you can't even buy in the US. Josh- a buddy is an automotive engineer, he even learned exhaust from "Old man" Bassani. When doing the exhaust on my Valiant sedan, he steered me to a brand called Different Trends. 409 stainless, fully welded, very high quality. Best part? Bought the pair I needed from CARID for around $38 each. Why pay the crazy mark ups certain exhaust brands charge. The exhaust on my Plymouth? Thermal-barrier coated headers, ball & socket collectors, V-band clamps, X-style crossover, 2.5" pipes & stainless tips angle down parallel to the road under the rear bumper. It's the most trick exhaust I've ever had- great flow, not obnoxious, no corrosion worries and you can take it apart for service. PS- I have an Australian Cattle Dog & your Aussie Shepherd has some similar behaviors

For whatever it's worth, there's enough space in the Tube for everybody. Everybody gets watched for a reason. All y'all need to just keep being y'all and it's going to work out just fine. The only one you need to compete with is you. The Tube algorithm is what it is, can't change that. The content you put out is all about the old cars, but it's also about y'all working together with these old cars. That's your magic. Look at the comments. There's a bunch about the cars, but there's also a whole bunch about all y'all and what fun it is to see a family that can work and have fun together. Don't mess with your magic, it's OG for sure!!

Josh, a quick DRILL HACK. Put a slightly larger washer on your drill but. If your angle is elevated the washer will walk towards the tip, if low then the opposite happens. Try it, it works. Let everyone know how it works out for you.

Used to be a volunteer firefighter. Cats come down out of trees by themselves. After all, how many dead cats have you ever seen in trees. Something my grandfather taught me. We had a cat at the top of an 80ft long leaf pine.

I went to a job and the lady said that cat had been up a tree all weekend and asked if we would help get him down. She said I have a ladder you can use. We set it up and it was about 4ft below the cat. I asked my partner to foot the ladder and hugged the tree with my left hand climbed as high as I could and have my feet on the rungs. Reached up with my right hand and pryed the cat off the tree. Poor thing was super thirsty. I think he was afraid of the homeowners dog so wouldn't come down

The "box" on the speedo cable is a ratio adapter to reconcile the differential / tire size. Common on medium/HD trucks. Probably Stewart Warner.

19:41 here in UK we changed to metric in 1965 so we still make imperial and metric and there’s very little price difference from one to the other. Most stores still stock imperial sizes and we can even buy imperial threaded nuts and bolts with metric spanner sizes.

Personally I enjoy your build videos as much as will it start videos. Y'all have a lot more tolerance for farm animals than I do they would be in a pen. I grew up in the 50s and early 60s so farm animals were raised to be eaten not made pets out of.

We've had bees get "Africanized" they get very aggressive. Only thing you can do is replace the Queen and hope it don't happen again ( central Texas)

Josh, you're lucky with that cat. My dad did the same thing but with our cat on the roof. The cat was so scared, she sunk all 4 claws into my dad's belly when he picked her up off the roof. He almost fell off the top of the ladder and let out this hilarious yell. I was holding the ladder and doubled over laughing. 😂

Those long lug nuts were on the chariot wheels in the old movie, Ben-Hur. The entire family is like a "commando" mechanic team now. Buy cars that have good rust-free bodies because all the rest you can do so well. Old station wagons are getting very popular. Love this build. Thanks.

That box that the speedometer cable was screwed into is a reduction (or multiplier) box because of the short wheel base and the gears in your rear end

Josh was being cheerleader for the build....2, 4, 6, 8....who do we appreciate? Put headers on a 65 Fairlane with a newer 289 and standard tranny. Had to run the rod for clutch through the left header, connect motor mount then bolt on header AFTER installing plugs as they are covered by headers! Put a 350 4 bolt in an 82 El Camino with th 350. Kept blowing the transmission cooler lines off, so paid Aeroquip to make two steel braided lines with screw in ends. Vio'la!

Can I suggest using mics? When you're far from the camera it echoes pretty bad. It might make things more interesting like how Brent at Halfass Kustoms gets passed a mic by Esther at the beginning of each video. Just a friendly suggestion 😊

Welding is a great skill to have for a young man. I learned a lot from my uncle-in-law who was an Oilfield Welder. Amazing welder. He had his own welding rig setup on a truck and showed me a thing or 2 when I was a young man. He made enough bank to retire and buy a bar, which was a dream of his, then he moved and bought another bar on a really nice lake where he eventually moved and lives the life on the lake...just saying the time he put in as a welder led to bigger/better opportunities later in life. I wanted to try it out but life got in the way. Go Ralphie! Weld like the wind! hahaha

I bought my Silverado brand new in 1996 and I still use the original key. My hide a key is the other unused key that came with the truck. She has been a good truck. I still run the original master cylinder and original back brakes( back weren’t disc brakes yet) the old shoes and drum. Original exhaust system, original power steering. I have painted it three times, changed the head liner. Last time I painted it I changed the topper. I believe it’s twenty seven years old and it has 180,000 miles on it. I hit a deer( second paint job) and it tore my truck up. I’ve changed headlights,taillights new front bumper. Electric windows still work,I did some front end( steering)work, I couldn’t buy a cruise control so I got one at the junkyard for forty$. Changed my windshield wiper motor. That’s about it she’s been good to me and when I priced a new one, I decided to keep my truck, in 1996 I paid 22 thousand dollars. With my 1992trade inGMC( same truck). It cost me eleven thousand dollars out the door. This same truck is $48,000 now

Josh back in the day we soldered gas tanks using 50/ 50 solder a 200watt soldering iron and some acid and making sure the outside was really clean. You can check with some old folks sometimes and learn a bit. Love the channel❤
