I certainly hope they are receiving the credit and the acclaim Loose Ends deserves! Thank you Jane for writing and singing, and thanks BMF for bringing it back to life!❤️
This is what is MISSING from music today.......REAL feeling......Real Rhythm and Blues......and Real.. Musicianship!...This stuff.........Glad LOOSE ENDS is still jamming......they are totally UNSUNG for their sound and talent.
Loose Ends is one of those groups were truly on another level. Their songs are timeless and penetrating. This one speaks to you with various meanings to whomever hears it. Glad Jane told the origin of it. Man, LE will always be one of my favorites. Jane Eugene's voice is in a class by itself. Such a talented group.
This song was and still is a masterpiece that I can listen to all day and Loose Ends is still one of my favorite bands. Soooo glad they are finally touring in the U.S. at "City Winery". The UK gave us some amazing voices in the 80's. Jane Eugene of course and I can't forget about Caron Wheeler from Soul to Soul (check out the acapella "Back to Life")
I always loved this song off that album. I'm surprised to hear that it was one of her favorite songs too. And that whole Zagora album was a big part of my life in the late 80's. The songs remind me of where I was and what I was doing at the time.
This is the MUSIC that needs to be playing on the radio at this moment. There's nothing like this music, it just does something to my soul every time I listen to this song. Beautiful...❤
I had never heard a voice like Jane Eugene's voice. It was so sweet and innocent and soft one minute, next thing you know she's growling in contralto. Baby boy is singing his heart out. Thank you UK for this group.
My all time favorite group!!! Jane Eugene looks and sound amazing, I just love her voice. Though I love the whole album, this song is is one of my favorites off of album as well. I miss Steve & Carl. I hope they get back together to do a tour and record a new album.
Phyllis hyman has got to be included here. I can feel her as an influence in janes delivery. She def sang it with true feeling. Phyllis was very much like that. It is too tragic her struggle with mental illness not only ended her career but her life. I miss her, truly one of a kind.💔💔💔💔💔 As for loose ends, they never got the credit they really deserved. I still reach to hear their amazing harmonies in songs like hanging on a string, dont you ever try to change me, wild child, slow down, and you cant stop the rain. Excellent band from the nostalgic era of the 80s😎😎😎😎😎😎 As
My girl Jane. I never get tired of listening to loose ends. I have been listening to them since the beginning in the early 80's when they were recording here in Philly. I am forever a fan of their beautiful music. I lost my Dad in 2013 and life is not the same but God helps us continue to live. So You cant stop the Rain I understand.
Timeless song. I was just listening to this and my 11yr old kept asking me to replay it. I did a little research and told him the this song was made in 1987! The look I got 👁👁! 😂 33 years old and it's like I hear it for the first time Everytime I play it. Beautiful song.
This is a timeless song filled with so much beauty and emotion. Totally touched my heart the first time I heard it so long ago. There are some songs that instantly click with one's being and this one moved me from the start.
Beautiful! Yesssss real music no auto tune give me Loose Ends, Soul II Soul, Groove Theory playlist since when?! Lol These groups put so much into their music.❤️
Loose Ends success in the U.S in comparison to the UK (where they're from) back in the 80's, is an indication why the likes of Idris Elba, Daniel Kuluya and other Black British creatives made the move over the Atlantic. Black culture back then was kept underground even if they wanted to be mainstream. And that's why the pirate radio stations and sound systems were and are such an integral part of Black British Cultural History. Without them we would of had next to nothing.
I realize how much it means too u because it means the same too me one of the best songs out of y'all catalog if not the best u made me see how much this song and a lot of loose ends songs mean too me I love u guys big fan .
