Welcome to Coffee Walk Ep. 153!
This week I loaded up the truck and trailer with my son, Connor, to head down south to Mount Pleasant, Texas to buy a 1940's Armored Dodge Truck that is so ugly... it's actually beautiful!!

I'd worry about the lack of bathrooms and a long drive back home after a trip to a restaurant for the first time. As a viewer , not a passenger, I enjoy the stop at the local joint.

I think Dennis Collins is a great guy, I think it's very cool how he usually just pays what they agree to on the phone, doesn't try to get everything for a cutthroat price when he gets there. A stand-up guy for sure, seems like someone I'd like to meet and be friends with as I love buying and selling cars, but mine are at a much lowes price for sure.

Beautiful Dodge B-Series truck. I have 2 1950 Dodge trucks a 1 ton and 1/2 ton. The 1/2 ton I got when I was 11 years old I’ve had for 25 years was a gift from my grandfather.

Those straight sixes are easy to get going usually you got to take the head off to get some valves loosen up but once you do that I usually take copper create a gasket spray the head gasket and reuse it and never had one that I could not get going and I have worked on countless flathead six engines and all from dodge or plymouths.

The vin tag would be for the flat back cowl chassis . J Thomas Moore , Nashville Tenn, Remke later Ekmer outside of Detroit Mi were the two largest manufactures of armored trucks of my day. . Our company had armored bodies smallest on International Scouts, Ford F 350, GM 50 series largest were tandem axle coin trucks. They had no air conditioning up until the late 1960's. Our shop would remount an old body on a new chassis to give the truck new life. That was a great find as we parted all trucks out when they went to the scrap yard.
