Growing up my parents were divorced. I lived with my mom but she was never at the house, when she was there she was with a new man every night. One day she sold me off to a guy, the excuse was “ I needed to pay the bill”. Now I’m 17, I have a good job, I’m finishing up school, and I can pay my own bills. I’m happy that my mom treated me like shit and my dad was never there for me, because without that experience I would’ve never learned to keep my head high and middle finger higher.
I can relate with being abandoned, I'm happy a new family took me in but the pain and anger and hurt of knowing they didn't want or care about me eats at me everyday 😔
My parents used to fight constantly my dad never had a job my mom did everything my dad would just sit there and call my mom names and hit us until I got older I had to watch my mom abusive heroin until my mom got arrested for heroin and then my dad tries to get us back even though me and my sister haven't seen him since we were 5 and 4 and we were 8 and 9 he got us for the summers until we were 10 and 11 when he couldn't even be there enough for us that he goes and walks into a convenient store and harrass a women working there who then called the cops and they show up and shoot him 5 times causing his death because in the end he couldn't even be there enough for us to stay alive
I can certainly relate my dad left me when I was just three years old I question myself everyday what was the problem what did I do nothing just comes natural there has to be a problem what did I do wrong what's another good daughter with an advocate person I don't know everybody that I know Talking Heads for right what I'm doing I did nothing wrong but I know I did I had to a father doesn't just leave like that it hurts so much that I just want to die end he can be a dad to two other kids but he can't be a dad to me
Lucky you. My ‘mother’ has 7 kids to 6 different dads, and doesn’t want anything to with the other 6 of us because she’s got her new baby. I’m 17 and the last time I seen her I was 1, and I don’t even know who my dad is… neither does she.
I have to cry everytime when I see Dean saying: "I hate you. And I love you 'cause I can't help it." Because it's the exact same thing I feel about my parents especially my father. He abused me. He taught me to never trust someone when they say "I love you"' cause in the end you're just not important enough for them to be there for you. That's what I learned as a child. I learned that conflicts mean pain and not just emotional pain. You raise your voice just a little too loud even when you're right... That's in my mind and I know it's not true for everyone but I think it is. When I meet someone new the first instinct I have is: Don't show them your weeknesses! Do as they like so they can't get mad at you! Even when it's just a new classmate, or the colluege of my father. Please don't be like that to your children it's a lifelong torture
This is so true and bad I know everything about this I grew up with my mom half of my childhood but she abandoned me and my brothers. I was like a mom to my brother. And blamed it on myself for years . And I still do sometimes. But I will be a better mom than she ever was
Many people wish they had a father but i wish i didn't. I don't see his value i wonder how told him paying for the child fees and feeding them makes them a father.
As an infant, My father left me in a hot car and I was about to die until my mother saved my life. Years later, he abandoned me and the rest of my family. Now he got arrested and deported back to Mexico.
My parents decided to do drugs and have enough to pay bills and not get jobs and sell out food samps so I see my mom somthimes she's way better my dad is in jall I live with my tia and my other siblings but I will always love my parents even tho they can be horrible...
This makes me remember how there would never be any food in the fridge but it would be full of liquor cause my father needed his liquor more than I needed to eat
This makes me appreciate what parents I have. I love that someone made a video like this too show the kids who had to live through this who had to grow up quick. I even feel sad watching this but love the fact that I have great parents. I appreciate the older kids or step parents even foster parents who fought for the younger kids an parent them. Even the greatest foster or step parents who was there for kids and teens even the young adults who taught them how to survive in this cruel world. ❤️🙂🥺
