Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to watch my little tribute video. Right after I finished season 3 I felt compelled to make a little tribute video for Hopper not expecting much, I just really wanted to make one. Yes I’m well aware that Hopper may still be alive and my tribute is not because I believe he’s dead, its to show my respect, admiration, and appreciation for the character Jim Hopper and the actor David Harbour who of course plays Jim. That being said I couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative for all the views and nice comments I’ve received in response to the tribute. The video has now surpassed 100,000 views which is insane for me. Anyway Stranger Things is truly an awesome show, I don’t know how they do it but the Duffers just keep on outdoing themselves every season so thank you Duffers and everyone else involved in creating this wonderful show. I cannot wait for season 4, hopefully we hear something soon from Netflix. 👍🏻🙂
Hopper, Alexi, and Benny Hammond are my 3 favorite characters Hopper is really dynamic and absolutely hilarious, so is Harbour, I met him at comic con and he was super cool. Alexi is super charming, and funny. I love how he is dealt with and his mannerisms, and I can make comrade jokes about him. Comrade Alexi. Benny was only in one episode, but he was a great character. He was super nice and just wanted to help. I absolutely hate how he got killed, it is probably the worst thing that show has done, cause he was such a great dude.
Kevin crumb I reckon he’s still alive because he died in the Russian base and the post credit scene for the last episode showed guards in the Russian base saying don’t take the American. And it also showed the OG demegorgon so that’s cool
So I'd say they left it open because David Harbour signed to play Hellboy and they didn't know if it would become a franchise. Hellboy absolutely bombed at the box office so I'd say he will be back next season.
No, I don't think he is dead. He might have gotten out before the machine exploded. Also in the post credit scene, one of the Russians guard says: Don't take the American. I think that one is Jim Hopper the chief police of Hawkins Indiana
Jim’s not dead. There was a portal in Hawkins and Russia. Jim jumped through to the upside down and was taken to Russia by the gate there. Jim is the “American”
I know EXACTLY why I lOVE this moment. It’s because even though we know he likes the song(referenced in season 2 when he danced to it for el), here he is so happy that he is SINGING it, out loud, and high pitched. I love how puts his fist up in victory amid the song. There’s just so much joy radiating from him in this moment because he finally put space between his daughter and that “bad influence” Mike wheeler.
There's something I've been wanting to talk to you both about i know this is a difficult conversation, but i care about you both very much. And i know that you care about each other very much, and thats why its important that we set these boundaries moving forward so we can build an environment where we all feel comfortable, trusted, and open to sharing our Feelings feelings feelings Jesus. The truth is for so long I'd forgotten what those even were. I've been stuck in one place. In a cave, you might say. A deep, dark cave. And then i left some eggos out in the woods and you came into my life. For the first time in a long time, i started to feel things again. I started to feel happy. But lately, guess I've been feeling different from you. Like you're pulling away from me or something. I miss playing board games every night, making triple decker eggos extravaganza at sunrise, watching Westerns together before we doze off. But i know you're getting older, growing, changing. I guess,if im being really honest, that's what scares me. I don't want things to change. So i think that's why i came in here, to try and make it stop that change. To turn back the clock, to make things go back to how they were. But i know that's naive. It's just not how life work. Its moving, always moving, whether you like it or not. And yeah, sometimes it's painful. Sometimes its sad. And sometimes, it's surprising, happy. So you know what? Keep on growing up kid. Dont let me stop you. Make mistakes learn from 'em. When life hurts you, because it will remember the hurt. The hurt is good. It means you're out of that cave. But, please, if you dont mind, for the sake of you're poor old dad keep the door open three inches.
This almost made me cry RIP Jim hopper you were very strict at times but still The best father figure anyone could ask for 11 was lucky to have you as her father
Man this is my most favorite scene and also just 4 months ago it was revealed that hopper is not dead! And that makes me glad because he’s my favorite character
The most fitting thing about this being Jims favourite song is the fact that Jim in the song ends the song in a pool of his own blood, dead cus he bit off too much than he could chew. Kinda looked like that was gonna be Jims story for a good while there
Guy nearly destroyed the relationship of his daughter and considering the problems it caused later on seeing him sing with his sunglasses on is funny as hell
When hopper starts the verse in the video, honestly, he sounded like an old man that never drank water in a long time. I just hope he’s not dead in season 4
Jim celebrating separating El and Mike in the car with this song is my favorite scene in the entire show, followed by Alexi almost driving away, season 3 was by far the best season yet. My theory for Jim: I don't think he's gone, I think that he's the American that was in Russia. The other guys that died at the very beginning of the series were turned to ash, and their ash was everywhere, but with Jim, there wasn't anything left over. The first explosion in the intro to this season was an unexpected failure, so I think that's why they turned to ash and died. Joyce turning the keys isn't the same situation, so I think that the manual "self-destruction" was made to be different. It wasn't an unexpected failure, like the first time, so I think the outcome is different, that it somehow teleported Jim to Russia. I don't know how that would work, but that's my theory.
