I hated my hair for the longest time bc it wasn't deemed acceptable at all my own family didnt know what yo do with it but now that I have knowledge and am aware of the products to use and I see the 4c hair style compilation videos I'm soooooo proud to be a 4c girl I love it proud of it and can't wait to grow it to my waist no chemicals no heat just water hair butters and oils

@@mariw1741 only if you want to be sure it's even. There are curly hair specialists (Deva Curl) who cut hair in its natural state. However maybe not a good idea if you intend to wear blowouts part time

@@gazelle20111 The very back of your head and near the nape of your neck where hair tends to be the coarsest on Black people 😊 Where your roots show. It's a tricky spot to straighten sometimes without chemicals. It's called the "kitchen" from colonial talk. In slave days Black people were kept in the kitchen (out of sight) when Whites had guests. So it's where your dense roots hide when the rest of your hair gets straight and can fall over it lol. Or your kitchen exposes your real hair texture if you don't get to straighten it well.

Lesley Williams they don’t last particularly long. A better option would be to have your stylist install tracks row by row. You get the same versatility as tape ins but they’re more durable, and last longer. The tracks are sewn in leaving the hair out in between each track, kind of like clip ins just sewn in! Best part is if you can find hair that matches your natural texture, nobody can tell :)

Captain Usopp That’s how I normally get my weaves done. I only get tracks sewn in with kinky straight or kinky curly extensions with majority of my natural hair left out. I prefer natural looking installs

My sister has this same texture of hair! She's ALWAYS been my human mannequin head😂😂😂 yesterday we finished doing some Rubber band method bohemian box braids oh her head and HONEY! it depends on what percentage of your pple live in a Country to make it worth it, small black percentages in Europe and North America are not relevant, there are more asians, mid easterners and whites to make one wealthy, u have specialists for your hair and that's all u need

Yes, that's what I would like to see too. I found a heat protectant with humidity blocker in it from the Fantastia product line but sure if my stylist would use it with a style like this. It's thicker than most heat protectants I see.

Well the customer maybe wanted longer hair. And this wasn’t a weave like tight braids and sewing. These were simple stick ins/clip ins that probably cause little to no damage. And again. Its what the customer may have wanted. When you get a blowout which is what the customer got, it usually is a lot of heat. And from the looks of her hair she probably hadn’t straightened or cut her hair in a while. So shes good. She’s beautiful and her hair is amazing long or short. Just because someone adds length or a different style to their hair doesn’t mean they feel they need it. They just wanted something different.

MGXL that is not anything above a 4c, her hair is too thick to be anything else. And for the record it really was no such thing as a 4c in the cosmetology world, it was fine, medium and coarse. So technically her hair is coarse; maybe even medium and that’s the type of hair ppl say she doesn’t do!

Dira501 The various categories of 3 and 4 are meant to define curl pattern. You’re correct about the fine, medium, and thick aspects. Then there’s normal and coarse. In addition to low porosity and high porosity. There are people with naturally straight hair and it’s coarse too. I know people with this hair type shown in the video, and their hair is cotton candy soft to the touch. Coarse is a texture that you can only feel, not tell by sight. People often think my hair is super smooth and soft, then find out when they touch it, during washing, it’s a bit coarse. Hope that clears up the hair typing aspects. ✨💕😘

The style with extensions is pretty but so was her natural and her own straightened hair. My mom (91 now) graduated in 1948 before relaxers. I love her snapshots and the class photos of her girlfriends with silky pressed hair with length and thickness. What have we done to ourselves with chemicals?

I use to get frustrated with my hair... and since going natural 2yrs ago (almost 3yrs this coming september) I realize how versatile, amazing, and beautiful our natural curls and coils are. Ms Cid same here. Because even when she washes this, how would you detangle such coarse hair without accidentally snatching a track with the comb? I bet that would hurt! Hopefully she has someone who can help her on wash day so they can see the back of her head during detangling.

Studio Techilo, may I ask why you don't use the roller method instead of a blow dryer? It seems like it would be a healthier options for naturals who want to maintain their curl pattern and you do an excellent job but honestly, the roller method seems to yield better results? It gives the client more body and bounce from what I've noticed

I saw that too so I won’t say I don’t like it because I do and I appreciate the stylist showing her work but I saw the same thing which made me not as excited as I was initially. All in all she did a great job
