I have had to re-upload this video due to a privacy complaint between 2:55 and 3:37 so I have removed his face from the video. The video is still the same length, just adjusted to cover the privacy complaint.
Today I took a wander to Dronfield Nr Chesterfield and came across an Engineering works that didn't like me for some reason.
I was told that they was going to phone the police about me and that I didn't have permission to video their yard. They had a bit of a shock when the police arrived and told them that I can video if I like.
My problem with the company was they were lacking in the H&S Department.

@@sandwichman100 Your right; but at least there was a function (Durkheim) to the incident . There was the genuine positive traits shown by the Officer which is a good thing : Politeness, new the law, fairness, warmth, a bit of humour, lack of aggression and over the top portrayal of authority.

I dearly hope that a Health Inspector has watched this as I would personally believe it is a window into how some companies actually act & ignore health & safety issues, you can bet if they knew an inspection was imminent they would be geared up to the nines everything in place every box ticked.

Around this way that's exactly what they'd have done. People round here are properly materialistic as well, they think just by having a nice pair of jeans on and a sappy pair of shoes it somehow makes them better. But trust me.. they're the first to cry about mental health and bit*h when something goes against them. You are doing a wonderful job here. No way should a person be stood on the vehicle bed when a fork-lift is unloading. That is extremely dangerous and unprofessional conduct. It's an (life-changing) accident waiting to happen.

It was the driver of the truck making sure the steel is positioned where he wants it. The driver is in charge of his truck and his load so maybe the driver knows better on this occasion.

I had to re-upload due to a privacy claim, I have put the reason in the video information section. They thought I would have to permanently remove the video. So I just zoomed in on the section they claimed was a privacy violation, between 2:55 and 3:37 so you couldn't see their face and reuploaded the video 😂😂

PJ; their Ops Man "hasn't" emailed me back, so, as I'm busy on Monday I will be taking the matter further on Tuesday by contacting HSE, and also contacting some of their "so called" Offshore clients and forwarding the email plus the copy of this video to them, and we'll see what occurs afterwards!!! Nicey nicey she was, but still surreptitiously digging for information she was not entitled to. It is not in the remit of a police officer to ask any member of the public, why they are performing a perfectly lawful activity. A police officer also has no business asking for the details of a member of the public when there is no lawful reason for doing so. It is disrespectful for a Police Officer when asked to identify themselves upon engaging with the public (which they must do on request) to nod to their epaulettes saying 'my details are ' there'. How do they know that the member of the public they are interacting with can read? One in 25 people in the UK have a degree of reading difficulty.

What you have to bear in mind is that Mollard Cox Engineering are engaged in super top secret governmental work . I can now reveal that they have been developing a super top secret range of robots , two of whom are featured in this video . Unfortunately these - let's call them prototypes - have been released from the research lab far too early in their development and have been allowed to interact with the public . Absolutely correct about the driver stood on the bed of the lorry, against all health and safety requirements. The vehicle should have a fixed barrier all around the lorry bed to prevent falls, and with unsecured loads the driver should not be on the lorry bed. Hard hats should be worn at all times as well as hi viz vests. So if a fork lift needs to lift off dangerous loads like loose steel pipes he should not be on that lorry bed. On building sites delivery drivers caught on the lorry bed unloading would be banned from site.

You can add the Caution Forklift trucks operating sign attached to the sliding gate that will be obscured to HGV drivers etc. when entering the site. Is police parking technics part of extensive police training program, because I was never taught it at Driving lessons for car, HGV and at Advanced Drivers.

PINAC. I also think we should try to see different people's perspectives; this helps with mutual understanding and leads to mutual empathy. I understand and do empathize with why people, especially at a place of work, get wary of ''men with cameras'' seeing as the individual videoing or taking photos may be conducting corporate espionage - industrial espionage in this specific situation - and /or could be hired by the competition to defame their business. Since they don't know whether pj is a corporate spy or not, understandably they're cautious. As a business owner, if I notice "a man with a camera" near my premises I will politely and smilingly approach him nicely ask him what his intentions are, offer him a coffee, without being rude to him/her.

Sorry but major bullshit call there. If they are that wary of corporate espionage then they should not operate where they can be seen from a public place They should have solid doors not barred gates and high walls instead of fencing. Anyone can film and record anything they can see from a public place. If the person with a camera you can see is "near" your premises, then the implication is they are not actually on your private property. That being the case you may of course ask- but you are not entitled to a reply.
