That cactus image was the best of the bunch, in my opinion. Long videos are great.

Thank you for going through your thought processes, I really appreciate the composition analysis. It is so cool (and valuable) to learn how and what other photographers see!

Really enjoyed this video. Was super confused for a minute, no camera lady, but the camera was tracking you. 😮 Impressed by the Osmo. Love your waterfall shot.

One does need a break from tracking wildlife. I love using all my gear ! I finally got too waterfalls in Arkansas last week.

Ah cool content. That waterfall does have some power on her. Osmo works a treat too

You made an important point about often needing a sense of scale in a waterfall shot. People repelling down the cliff also gave the image more drama. Maybe not an “award winner” in your view but the image could certainly be useful to “outdoorsy” publications.

Its good to see the process and to see that you dont get great photos all the time . even though that photo is great having someone in the picture just makes it

Thanks Ric! I think I will do more like this. I really enjoyed making it and it was the least stressed I've been when it comes to making videos.

Thanks for taking us on this waterfall journey. Love seeing this stuff. I remember when we would stumble across water in the hills near Alamogordo it was always a special moment. Were you able to make contact with the climbers? I bet they would love those photos beside the waterfall.

Glad you enjoyed it! No, they hiked out a different way so I never ran into them.

Interesting video. I’ve spent some time up in Redington Pass but never been to the waterfall. I have shot a number of sunset and nighttime stills from just above where you parked. I’ve also shot a couple of evening-night time lapses from directly north of the city which I’ve been very happy with. Tucson is a great place for photography!

Love from Ontario, Canada! We watched this video about 3 hours ago on our TV. Great video! Oh those temperatures! It was canyoneering taking place behind you rather than rock climbing. We are amazed at the hooliganism at that site late in the evening. We hope law enforcement gets to them sooner than later to keep the sanctity of our wilderness.

Thanks for another enjoyable video. I really like it when you go through your thought process because it's helpful in understanding what different photographers are thinking about when composing a shot. Gotta bring Camera Lady along! Cheers!

Great video and great pictures! You made everything so interesting. I would love to visit place like that and enjoy the nature but I wouldn’t be able to photograph anything that I’d like unless I found wildanimals there. And they would have to be something else than just birds. I love photographing wildanimals but not birds. And I’ve tried to take scenery pictures but it just feels so boring to me. It feels like I fail every time I try. Still I love good pictures that other people take - like the ones in this video. I know I’d take 1000 pictures in a couple of hours in a place like that and edit and publish maybe one and never look at the others again. But I wouldn’t delete them. I’d keep them. Just in case I someday want to use them. I’ve got over one million pictures like that, waiting for that someday in future.

Hey Brent! I sometimes use long lenses, 200 - 400mm, to compress my landscapshots. Works good as long as the air are clean and not shimmering to much.

Don't hype up "camera lady" too much, or she will be wanting a new camera 😅. Seriously though, she does a great job and would not have forgotten to film while hiking in the canyon. I think that was funny. Another great video.

The climbers really did add a great sense of scale to those photos, that was happy timing indeed! The Pocket 3 is great, but I'm sure Camera Lady will be glad to know it cannot replace her. Quick word of advice: Get yourself a wrist strap lanyard to attach to the clip of the wireless mic. Then when you clip it to a strap, you can also loop the lanyard around the strap as a safety line. The mic's clip is good, but it's definitely possible to knock it off, and with my Pocket 2 I lost one that way and felt really dumb about it. :)

The waterfall with the repeller was nice. The Tuscon image needs some work on the luminosity level of the rocks, they're too bright. The rocks just pull at the eyes too much. Long day, glad it got overcast for you guys.

@BrentHall
@BrentHall 6 месяцев назад
Sorry. I'm sure it could be better, but I definitely don't consider it clickbait. Finding both a giant seasonal waterfall in the desert, and catching someone rappelling down it when it's full are quite uncommon and not something you see often.
