You're right about that I do think that the first two were really good although the first movie was too graphic for my taste however it had interest don't get me wrong but I really think that the TCM ended well if it just ended with a third movie no offense to Matthew McConaughey but the 4th film sucked and personally the Remake Texas Chainsaw 3D is what brought Justice to that family.
One of the reasons I love this movie is that all of the actors looked like they were having a frigging blast! There’s not one scene of anybody phoning it in, they always sound so happy like their just having the time of their lives.
I always thought he pulled over cause he was laughing his ass off but after watching it over and over again I’m beginning to thinking he was crying cause he was about to loose his reputation in Texas as the best chili cook around
I recommend listening to the commentary for this film. Pretty hilarious. I remember during this scene Tom Savini said "he's not watching the road! AGH he's gonna crash!"
That’s the one thing Drayton is trying to prevent. Any leaks to the outside world about them would result in the family being torn apart from either the law or the towns people ganging up on them
1:23 is when the iconic line comes in, though, the more iconic line of the film would be later when chop top met her in the studio and said "dog will hunt!" Which got it's fame after being used in Jerry was a race car driver by Primus
I love how Drayton gets mad at Leatherface and ChopTop for killing someone but this time it was live radio and everything, he was trying to get some respect on his name and for a decade it worked until this
He drive on the road ...answer a phone call (in one hand !. ) turn on the radio (whit is other hand !!) without looking to the roads .... Yelling at the phone (still not looking at the road !!!!) On the highway and not having an accident... This guy is goddanm lucky!!😳🤣

Minor detail I just noticed, when the tape is being played, Stretch says afterwards that it’s 12:00 am, but Drayton was driving in daylight when he heard the tape get played, which was a live broadcast, so there’s no way he could’ve heard it again. Just a minor plot hole, still a great movie though.
He is there brother father and uncle they changed it over the years but he is there oldest brother according the first one he is the oldest Sawyer brother and head of the Sawyers family its him nubbins aka the hitchhiker choptop tech alfredo w.e leatherface Eddie/ tex and vilmor after him w.e and leatherface changed they names to saugler they was the roaming brothers that was left and leatherface had a daughter from a victim he had raped
