They put other people's feelings before their own or put their own over others. Sure, we can feel pity for her bc she does need help and she isn't exactly a liar. She just treats people she doesn't like like crap and people she does like, she treats like royalty. Also, they don't think things through very well. Get controlled by emotions so easily like the villain in this game does. And they think wow, being treated like royalty sounds nice, and stay ignorant that it comes with a huge cost. One mistake that makes her lose interest and she will make you regret ever being born. Is that really a risk worth taking? Worth not even thinking about? For some, yeah. Is super easy to forget she's a monster, when you no longer have to experience or see that side of her, but it never goes away and for the ones that choose to stay knowing that messing up can end things very badly, is a life of constant anxiety no matter how guilty you feel about wanting her dead even though she treats you so well and not putting your feelings before hers or not being brave enough to try to fight even if it ends in death. Many people are okay with their partner treating others like crap as long as they get treated good. Just so happens that in this story the main character was good enough to not be okay with anyone being treated horrible. Wish more people were like that. Or maybe I'm overestimating her? Maybe she only cared bc she couldn't get over the villain abusing her before? Some people have a huge problem letting go of the past. Hard to know which one it is. Ever heard of a bully having no girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse, no one to lust, chase or crush after them? Many people don't care about their partner being crappy as long as it's not to them. Is simply interesting, makes life very eventful. Imagine the many interesting stories said partner could tell you. On the other hand, just like bullies are chased romantically bc they can treat you good, the bully partner shares the stolen money or food or objects with their so called sweet partner or even equally evil-if-not-worse partner, they are chased for excitement alone, like regardless of whether they treat you good or not. Some like the excitement, uncertainty, domination, but also want to turn you into a good person and once they do, if they do, some will stay with you. And some won't be done with chasing after adrenaline, excitement and pain, suffering and so will move into another bad person, another project to work on. Depends on the person. Is weird that you used that villain women as an example of why is justifiable or understanding that a person stay with them. Are you trying to say that you think there's nothing wrong with staying with someone if they like you and threat you good, but treat others bad? That is reasonable? Maybe is me, but though you didn't mention it, it seems like you think those people are worth feeling sorry for. Some aren't worth rescuing bc no matter what,they don't want help. Like fighting to get them to therapy or leave said relationships even if they push back over and over. Gosh, i can't get over you saying she'd be very kind and understanding if she wasn't a hypocrite. Technically she isn't one. She hates people that abuse her used her and let her down which is all very painful for her and those that think they're better than her when she thinks they aren't. Abuse her as in hurt her physically, lie to her as in don't do things the way she wants them to or say things she wanted them to say but didn't mean them, and let her down as in show her you aren't as smart, deep and interesting as she thought and you reject her when she is offering you the world and just wants to be happy at last. All those things are subjective, different for everyone. She is just kind with conditions, many people are. None of that means she hates people who do that to others. She clearly doesn't care about others. Just very specific people. Would you go to jail to visit a person that killed the person you loved so much or stole something valuable to you and give them money, gifts and be super sweet to them? No many would. The condition ranges from you hurt me deeply emotionally to you are a thief a murderer and they deserve the worst. Many in between. Are they not understanding people bc of that? Answer is yes and no. There are different levels of compassion and kindness. And that is simply the highest level and very few have reached it.

Malnourishment wouldn’t affect your adrenaline production, also the MC likely wasn’t out in the woods long, because they stated it was only mild frostbite to the feet, the kidnapper also specified she had fed the MC before so she likely wasn’t malnourished or Atleast not starved.

That shows good writing from the game maker no? It means you're able to sympathize at least somewhat with the antagonist and that's very good. I'd think there'd be many people similar to Olivia irl, most people don't go as far as kidnapping or killing but still do a lot of bad because they have a sense of self hate inside, the answer should be friendship yes but just like the story here shows there's typically good reasons why people like her are isolated and lonely, it's a pretty sh*t situation in general I think

I think that the character having a lotttt of bad in her and a little good is a show that the writer manages to put some "humanity" In her. If she's all bad then she wouldn't be relatable in any sort of way and if her good side is too emphasized than she wouldn't be a good antagonist. The fact that she's mostly bad but shows some level of relatability in the good route shows that the character as some humanity in her.

I'd support the idea that the guy was her brother. She mentions how lonely she is, so he is definitely not her significant other. And it doesn't look like a ransom job given that people who ask for ransom usually don't take their victims to their own house. And I like this idea of Olivia just having these swinging moods that make her have multiple crushes on random people on the internet and the brother just tries to keep her happy by helping her kidnap them.

Not just funny, but fitting. Both endings are quite fitting to the way the story plays out, that in the bad ending we see the power go to her head in the worst way possible(likely how the other path would eventually turn out if the girl went along with it) and in the good ending, she lets herself be vulnerable, only to seemingly not consider how far in the wrong she still is, and how she's left herself open, and her manipulation fails. I mean, in bad path, she tries to forcefully take the captive girl's clothes off. In good path, she is less abusive, but still forces a hug on the captive girl while spouting creepy romantic fantasies, and trying to coerce her, eventually crying about her inability to get a partner. How fitting that a narcissist either goes completely power crazed, or lets their own vulnerabilities leave them open when they think they've got what they want. And the thoughts of the victim indicating that she is clearly aware that the knife was put down on the bed where they were sitting/laying down made it clear that it was gonna be important. I knew it was coming, I was just waiting for the stab at that point.

There is a manga called the locker. This happens every arc. Mc cuts their throat. Hospital stitched it in time. Mc throws them off a building. Firetruck conviently testing safety drill and catches them. Mc destroys their heart. 5 hours later and open heart surgery they are still freaking alive.

Unlikely, if this were a real case, given the amount of blood described, and the areas she got stabbed in (abdomen, neck) she most likely died from hypovolemic shock, due to excessive blood loss.

I imagine them as family or friends. I have a theory they kidnap and murder artists. The "bad end" is the "normal" end, while the 2good end" is MC managing to break the cycle.

Notice how he gets pretty angry or jealous, when he sees you are touching Olivia, probably she doesn't like to get touched by him) They just need like a "portal" to society to fund and shelter them.

Also a working theory is that the bowl of maggots were intentional as to throw off the time of death for the police.

When they "found out" your character irl was actually unlikeable she switched gears instantly by demeaning you and implying you're insincere or different from how she idealized you. Keyword: idealized It's possible her former victims acted this way (you can't really blame them given how invasive she is with boundaries) given her dialogue and this was when her delusions of you shattered when she found out you were just like them or "nothing special" as she and the game puts it.
