"You Got It" is a song from American singer Roy Orbison's 22nd studio album, Mystery Girl (1989). The song was released posthumously on January 3, 1989, after Orbison's heart attack on December 6, 1988. The song was issued with "The Only One" as the B-side and was later released with "Crying" (version with k.d. lang). The single reached number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Adult Contemporary chart, returning Orbison to the top 10 for the first time in 25 years. "You Got It" also reached number three on the UK Singles Chart in early 1989. Although it is an Orbison solo single, Orbison's fellow Traveling Wilburys bandmates, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, co-wrote the song and played instruments on the record.
Played on my Alan Brason custom Stratocaster fitted with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on Bridge position through an Alesis Quadrabverb Q2 with EFTP Path 0-36

There are plenty of Karaoke videos for this song but this was the only one without backing vocals.

Roy Orbison you have done that song justice Phil, my mates used to take the mick out of me when I was 18 because I liked Roy Orbison, I had an 8 track in my car ( remember them Phil ) I had Roy Orbison greatest hits that was 1978 so it’s great to hear you playing one of his songs then he joined the travelling willburys, I like their sone called “ end of the line “ his guitar rocking in the rocking chair, now that’s an idea for an instrumental, go on haha

@@Barbarapape I was 62 9 years ago. I too will never be as good as Phil, but I try to learn and become better with each one I do. My joints are in the arthritic zone now, and some daye my hands don't work well enough to play. But, I push on as I can. I wish I could have started decades ago.

@@2bikemikesguitartopics145 I turned 67 yesterday, and like most of us in our later years our joints don't take kindly to playing a guitar. I find that putting my hands in a dish of warm water helps to ease the joints. It's still a great way to enjoy retirement.
