I had the same thought, why bother asking. My conclusion applies to Wray, Garland, Mayorkas and ever other clown in the current Clown Car that is this administration. By asking questions that they know will not be answered that are pointing out to anyone with half a brain that this administration first sees its self not accountable to Congress and by the evasion that there is something that is being concealed. So this isnt a fact finding hearing but rather a PR event. I believe in this case Senator Lee knew the answers to every question he asked regarding whether anyone had been punished/ fired for using governmental resources to spy on citizens.
As a registered nurse, now retired, if I had opened a chart to gather info on a patient I was not in direct care of, I would be fired, no questions asked! Wray needs to go! We need reform in the FBI!

Exactly! As a civil servant myself with security clearances from different government agencies, it is clearly stated that unauthorized access not related to the case you’re working on is a definite cause for dismissal and revocation of your security clearance plus monetary fine.

There are literally hundreds of ‘acting appointees’ who are holdovers from BHO’s administration still in the position. Personally, I think we need to return to the political spoils system everyone is fired when the majority party changes - every single federal employee. That would slow the federal government’s eventual takeover of - all citizens’ assets. When the $ breaks, and it's coming folks - we have had a 15% loss in value in a three-year period - your dollar-based liquid assets will be expropriated by the Federal Government. My belief is that our retirement assets will be first seized to liquefy the Trillions of dollars the government stole from the so-called ‘Social Security Trust Fund’. Any other trust trustee accepting untradeable bonds from an entity already in technical bankruptcy in exchange for the trust’s hard cash would be removed and probably jailed for breach of fiduciary duty. why hasn't him and other government officials on the stand that refuse to answer questions and deliberately mislead/lie haven't been indited or some such, because when your called to the stand in a governmental capacity to answer questions and from what I assume with at least half of these, that the person on the stand is given a list of things to investigate/familiarize themselves with the subject matter. Also with those who are meant to be experts or leading officials in charge of procedures shouldn't they get in trouble for not 'knowing' what their actual job is?
