Well said!!!!!! its a sacrifice to do that and you dont see the Mzungus wanting to come to work in Africa unless they want money.. they are so happy in their country
There is no problem with exporting labour,I think all we need is have the embassies working properly and protecting the interests of workers in those countries
Growing our local industries IS and shold be our #1 goal. Having said so, we must recognize that it takes time. There are steps that must be taken in that direction but they will not produce an immediate turn-around. But until then, we have an immediate and urgent need to help our young guys - 2 generations, Millenials and Gen Z - get jobs. At this point, labor export may be the best first step.
Because it doesn't benefit the biggest financiers of the IMF. Quota contributions are the primary source of funds for the IMF and are based on each member country's relative size in the global economy. The largest contributors to the IMF in terms of quota shares are typically the major advanced economies like the United States, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Eg; Building your own manufacturing sector doesn't benefit them, but importing finished goods made in those countries while exporting raw minerals and farming goods at low costs does. They make more money by the business created for them by Kenya's use of the borrowed money than they do by the % from the loan repayments. And if you can't pay the loan back due to mismanagement, even better for them because then they take your assets.. ie your land
Has he considered the challenges that await going abroad? I've been in France and now living in UK. Let's say you go to a country that English is not your first language...we are talking wasting about 4 years to properly integrate lingually, visa issues which cost a lot, housing, trying to learn a completely different system, no family, sometimes racism, the list is long. You waste about 10 years in backwardness trying to fit in a completely new country, culture etc. I say, people live, work in kenya and visit other countries to have exposure
As a psychologist and a philosopher, I can tell you that this guy is a great manipulator. Getting him out of office will be very difficult. One of his strategies is to join his enemy. He might even tell Gen Z's that he is a Gen Z himself. Just the way he deceived poor people into thinking he was one of them.
But let's appreciate one thing; the president has, for the first time since he assumed office decided to listen. We don't now if he will act, but at least he does seem to listen.
It's just like he is alone now, his puppets that have made him fall into this ditch are nowhere to be seen now. That's how it should be, he now needs to fire them and also staff IEBC we assist him to fire those we elected.
Singapore ended all forms of corruption, and that was their beginning point in success. Also, stopping unnecessary spending is the starting point. Kenya makes enough revenue, only if it is well-utilized and stops the loopholes of corruption, greed, and wastage.
Yes and no Kenya doesn’t have enough revenue I thought the same till I left Kenya. Kenya 55 million has a budget smaller than NASA or even New York City
I think you have a smart guy as President... give him some time and evaluate him after the first term even though He has been part of that he's blaming... but please do not destroy your beautiful country.
He has a difficult time bt others will take advantage to bring down all to look right. He is also human n trying to bring out kenya out of trouble. He has worked his ways up. So let's talk n redeem our country. From where I stand we are so much respected as a counrty so we should wrk to keep our fire burning positively in Africa and also lead others in Africa.
Who told Ruto Kenyans want jobs abroad?? We want to live and work here.. going abroad should be a choice and only tourist-based to see places as adventure trips..
Slave trade is back in Kenya. Instead of using the human resource to develop Kenya your solution is to send the useful human resource to Arab countries. Who is Ruto's advisor in this matter surely? 😂😂😂
Again, why is it that the president alone is trying to solve all the problems of Kenya. ..It can be overwhelming! ! ! What is the role and purpose of CS's ....I remember post-independent Kenya in the spirit of Harambee Minister's were fully responsible for their portfolio's and hence the different sectors of our economy ....Education, Agriculture, Water , Electricity etc... The executive is not one man ! ! Our standards seem to have really fallen. It is just not possible for one man to do everything.
Digital jobs are not Kenyan Jobs. They are jobs created elsewhere, what they do,they outsource labour-cheap labour here-not very different from labour export. The way to create digital jobs is to have digital startups that actually create value locally and solve problems locally or and abroad. The way to spur job creation in an economy whether digital or otherwise is to give tax subsidies to the investors-consumers a like. Job export is not a solution because those who work abroad spend their money there more than they do here, not a practical solution to the problem at hand. Dear Mr. President,we cannot talk pretty and be plain in action. We cannot import bicycles, motorcycles and other petty stuff when we can manufacture or assemble that locally. More importantly,Mr. President,we cannot and should not be fooling each other-not in this age and time.
True. But digital jobs are the current low hanging fruit. And something is better than nothing. I'm not siding with WSR but I think he's simply being pragmatic.
@@moseskimani4525 I agree, a good remote position is way better than traveling abroad to work, plus one gains valuable skills that can be applied locally.
Why do you think the finance bill was proposing an increase in import duty? The problem with you people is that you didn't even read what you're opposing, it's just heresy.
"The question should not be what my country can do for me but rather what I can do for my country," JFK. KENYANS, AS WE RIGHTFULLY DEMAND THE GOVERNMENT TO DELIVER TO OUR EXPECTATIONS, WE MUST ASK OURSELVES AT AN INDVIDUAL LEVEL WHAT IS OUR ROLE IN HELPING BUILD KENYA.
@alextercisio Through job creation!! Also, you should not all be working in offices. We have many sectors that could be improved to create more jobs: manufacturing, agriculture, technology, etc. There can be jobs in Kenya, if the leaders were committed to supporting what would create jobs, and most of all utilise our taxes in the right way. There is so much wastage where even one project, costs 5 times the actual price.
Kenyans: Please listen to your president and save your nation from going downhill. If the current madness continues and very serious consequences happen, you will regret 10 years from now that you should have avoided today's madness.

Mr president, please be deliberate in the fight against corruption. This country loses a lot of tax payer's money through corruption which could otherwise be used to create more opportunities for the vast unemployed Kenyan youth population.
Why should an MP who came into parliament last yr earn 700k while that shooter cop who has been in the force since 2008 earns 35k net salary. Is that even fair??? That cop was working when some MPs were in Primary school surely. Can we have fair wages
Mr president please cut of government expenses, countless allowances and a lot of wastage everywhere. Remove the unconstitutional posts you created, reduce salaries I saw SRC talking of increasing the salaries of CS wrong move this is not the right time
After the Finance bill 2024/25 was not over then boom here comes salary increments for the same political class. Mr. President you've let the Kenyan people down 👇 kabisaaa.
Barbaric and hypocrisy. Just when he called the media 2-3 days ago he promised to cut expenses. Here he is now, increasing salaries. He is known to do exactly the opposite of what he says 🤣
Are you trying to say going abroad for work is bad??? I think the argument should be about clear policies that protects the lives of people going out for work. And you should know that it's not only Kenyans going abroad. Also check In Kenya there many people working in Kenya and they are from outside countries and continents of the world.

Im very pleased that the youth have decided to meet Mr president so that they can hear the real truth which of course im very much suree not many presidents will agree to meet. It's only the youth and mr Ruto who can take our country to a better level bcoz he has already allowed them to be directly talking to him incase of anything. If you listen the conversation, it's been done by educated people, listening people and people who seem to be ready to solve the long term problem which has been there in Kenya.
The truth is already out there unless you have. Ot lived in this country.. A country of suck people who have to listen to lies over and over again and still believe the lies.
Mr President. It is easy to raise money. These police officers eat a lot of billions of money everyday on the roads, something that would have been used to raise lots of funds for the government. Put cameras on the highways make this rich people with cars follow the road rules and regulations. Red Lights, Speed, etc, STRICTLY and make the penalties affordable and people will be paying. There are many ways to raise money, Walevi ni wengi, Let them pay stuff. Channel the money. There are many ways to raise money apart from raising taxes.
True Bwana James.... add to inspection of vehicles every year.....fines on pollution especially vehicles that pollute are millions... cutting down on his many travels n that of government officials will save wastage...plus many others including boosting agriculture with training on modern agric methods...give farmers loans and they pay after producing...etc...
Dear kenyans lets pray for our nation for God to intervin in the leadership of the nation. We have been having leaders in this nation and messes have been taking place.Correcting a mess is not a days work.lets adress our problems with sobrieality not politicaly. The president has shown a mind of a leader lets angage each other positively with sober minds. It's very unfortunite that we are not even saying any good thing the president has done.Let me say when you have a wound and you go to a doctor. The moment he starts cleaning it the pain is some times so bad such that you think he is not knowing how you are feeling. The moment he finishes and the following day you find you can walk you start appriciating him for treating you.The president is human and can not be 100percent in everything. We should face our problems in a sober way as we pray for the families who lost their loved ones for God to comfort them and heal those who were injured.

All these Kenyan wishing Ruto to resign, who is in a better Position than him. He is telling Kenyan the truth about the Situation we are. Whether we like or not. The Problem will not be resolved with a new president. Kenyans lets stop ignoring the Situation we are at the moment.

He raised the cost of living to the levels never witnessed before - we kept quiet He raised the cost of 2kg Unga to between Ksh 230-250 - Still, we kept Quiet He Raised the cost of Sugar to Kshs. 450 - We were too silent. During his reign, a 6 kg cooking gas cost was hiked to Kshs. 1600 - We were very comfortable with it. As if that was not enough, he raised the cost of cooking oil with 1 litre going for Kshs. 500 50 Kg of Fertilizer went up to Kshs. 7,000 The inflation rate went up to 9% I can go on and on and on... Now Under President Ruto barely 2 years in office: A 50 Kg of fertilizer dropped to Kshs. 2500 from Kshs 7000 2 kg of Unga now ranging from kshs. 90- kshs. 135 1 Kg of Sugar is now Kshs 160 from Kshs 250 6 Kg of Cooking gas is now between KHs 1000-1200 1kg of cooking oil is now Kshs. 200 from Kshs- 500 The inflation rate dropped to 5% from 9 % His leadership has stabilized our dollar which was being artificially managed in the last regime and is now exchanging at Ksh 128.50 Talk of the job opportunities he has created within 2 years through Housing projects and labor export. Talk of Employment of Close to 50, 000 teachers on permanent & pensionable something that has never happened since independence. He has fixed our education sector which had millions of challenges. Talk of aligning the Health sector. Our economy which was almost going to the 'dogs' is now stable. we can also go on and on and on... Remember he's doing all this while paying loans someone else took yet we cannot account for. President Ruto is setting up our Nation for success but what do we do? we demonstrate All the contentious proposals that were in the Finance Bill 2024 were dropped. From my point of view, it's not about the Finance Bill 2024, someone has visualized the levels Kenya will be in the coming years and they don't like it. President Ruto will change this Nation, just watch this space.

Good idea brother! For us to be able to create industries locally that ofcourse will aid in reduction of import duty,we need cheap and reliable energy to enhance that. This is a mother area that will promote efficiency in most type of industries. Therefore,a better company that is reliable has to take that part,it doesn't have to be KPLC alone,as long as it delivers efficiently .

MR PRESIDENT, listening to you, I must say that you are your own best advocate. I have stated elsewhere that there seems to be a huge gap between where you are and where Kenyans are. You need to take us with you. That can only be done as you consistently share your vision with us. MR PRESIDENT, you have well qualified PR and COMMs people, but you are your own best advocate and vision-caster. Do not delegate this function to them. Your work in speaking to the nation should be to consistently share vision. MR PRESIDENT, if you action these things, I think it shall be well with you.
Mr President, As a Kenyan living abroad, most of us would love to come back to Kenya not vice versa. Ruto supporting a racist genocidal occupying entity was a definite dealbreaker , But when he sent troops to Haiti to fight on behalf of the colonial masters , that was a non negotiable . Ruto you must go !
There are Haitians IN Haiti who have said that they want a reign of terror in their country ended and are thankful for the LEADERSHIP of the Kenyan police. As imperfect as some people think he is, Dr William Ruto is a GOOD gift to his country and this WORLD.

I agree to this, Gen-Z 's don't have a second option after uprooting him and that is where the bigger problems will start. Everyone will be fighting for that office and the chaos that Kenyans will experience can be avoided. I also think that Ruto is not entirely the problem, Kenyans must learn to hold their MP's accountable. They are thier representatives.
Mr. President the whole thing is about governance: 1.Remove the CDF from the national assembly 2.consolidate all the bursaries so that you offer free primary, secondary and university school 3.check on the austerity measures both national and county government 4.let us agree how to clear the external debt and the way forward
Our country has to make difficult decisions if we need to move foward. This has to be a collective decision. And I agree. Our president is dealing with a 60 year old problem
President Ruto, we have considerable uncertainty regarding the individuals you are engaging with as purported representatives of Kenyan youth. The Kenyan government has a history of appointing individuals who claim to advocate for specific youth interests but are, in reality, mere government operatives selected for media appearances, thereby misleading the youth into believing their concerns are being addressed. Many of us are deeply patriotic and have pursued education within and abroad to return home to contribute to the development of our society. The current strategy of outsourcing jobs for Kenyans to the West and America is both regressive and counterproductive. We seek employment opportunities within Kenya. It is imperative to eliminate redundant political positions, such as Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs) and Women Representatives, along with other similar offices, which serve little purpose yet burden taxpayers with significant monthly salaries. Kindly, put a stop to grand looting schemes orchestrated by some of your political cronies right under your nose and rid off this tokenism of appointing dimwits to very strategic positions of governance yet Kenya is heavily teeming with an over qualified populatuion.
Ruto is not going anywhere until 2027 unless he resigns voluntarily whoever has been dreaming so.Go dream again.Ruto declined to sign the bill.Let us give him atleast 60 days to implement some things we have given him.
Thank my foot.. He will talk and do nothing even if you give 20years.. when will Kenyans like you get it. This guy can never change.. Kenya will only change when liars like him never get to leadership..
😫😫Kenya is a very rich country it’s only that our resources are misused by the same governments we elect. This misuse didn’t start with Ruto regime but it has exacerbated in Ruto regime due to extreme corruption from mps all the way down to parastatals ,chiefs and other civil servants. The wastage is so much that creation of unconstitutional offices such as cas’ , offices of spouses from top to bottom is unacceptable. Kenyan parastatals have been making loses at all time because the government in corraboration with those parastatal heads don’t want them to make profit so that they can be bailed out all the time. Our Genzs should not be sent out of our country to do odd jobs instead let’s create a conducive environment for local & international investments, too much lies, politicking and killing businesses & residential homes perceived to be owned by perceived tribal enemies will take us nowhere but backwards. It’s in public domain when president said one community cannot be allowed to be ahead of others & for this reason we need to drain the swamp from top to bottom including judiciary that’s dropping corruption cases at an alarming rate.
