Thank you for sharing Hunter's story. Someone once said that if we all could put our problems in a hat and you had to draw out someone else's problems your own might not seem so tough. You and Melissa have my utmost respect for your commitment to your son

God works in strange ways. I had two nephews, brothers, one who was diagnosed as Autistic and needing assistance. The other brother was a super athlete, super student, very charismatic, and successful. They were in high school when Sandy happened and a giant tree fell on their home and killed the normal brother and one of his friends! Their mom, who was single, became very depressed and withdrawn and wanted nothing to do with society. The autistic brother came out of his shell and somehow overcame his illness and became his other brother in every way and today is a successful, self supporting member of society!

I got to tell you Mike that your words about Hunter hit me right between the eyes this morning. I’m a 70 year old man and have been blessed with a great family, served my country proudly in the Army, and have had a healthy life until recently. I couldn’t put my hand on the problem and being a disabled vet my loving wife said you need to go in and get checked out. This was about 3 months ago and it was discovered that I have Parkinson’s. Unlike my normal self I had a pity party on myself. I stopped walking, socializing, etc, because it’s difficult for me to “shuffle” when I walk, told I need to use a walker, and the damn shaking. Your words were a miracle in disguise for me. I am determined now to accept “the hand I’ve been dealt with”. Everyday I see someone who has it worst than I do and it’s amazing to accept that. I’m sure that you aren’t able to read every response that you and your lovely wife and family get but I’m writing this so that the thousands of followers who you reach everyday will get a chance to see how you effect others. Thanks Sir.

The work/love you’ve put into your family shows in the way you all interact. That same integrity has been put into your channels. The fruits of your hard work and dedication are the equipment and property you’ve acquired. Some people are just not driven and are jealous. Let it go Mike. Concentrate on the 99.99% of the people that appreciate you for you.

100% agreed Jack well said. Some do not mean anything by "It must be nice" yet others are exactly like you say. The enemy only attacks his foes, trolls will always be there. But focusing on the 99.99% is great advice.:) And all you said about Mike and family is exactly what we see here as well.

@donbrutcher4501 So very true. Some partners just bail when the going gets tough. They miss out on a lot of blessings, and they don't grow as people. The way I figure it out, I've had it tougher than some but better than most. There was a musical called "The Flower Drum Song" made in 1961. One of the numbers was called "One Hundred Million Miracles". May we be smart enough to see them!

Mike, my wife and I love all the videos of the Morgan's. But I have to say, this is probably the best one to date. The love you and the entire family have for Hunter is just so heartwarming. And the few times Hunter allows you to get him on camera always puts a smile on my face. It is funny, my wife and I watch the videos and every time you are shooting around the house, we are constantly looking for Hunter in the background. He is a rockstar and doesn't even know it.

We sure do appreciate you telling the story about Hunter. That did us so much good. Our granddaughter has CF and it’s a miracle she is still here. And as you know, we have worked all our life and in 2020 I came down with COVID and was on a vent for 34 days and 63 days in the hospital. I had to learn to walk and everything else and I’m still on oxygen with 50% lung loss. I don’t say any of this for pity. I am just happy to be here and I’m still trying to do all I can on my scooter. Mike my hat is off to you and Melissa for all your fortitude. Your story has always been an inspiration to us. Like you said we just have to play the hand that we’ve been dealt. Sorry this is so long. I tried to shorten it. Praying for you all!🙏👍❤️

So well said Mike! Your perspective is so positive and powerful. As a father, I also respect your commitment to your son and found it telling when you mentioned that things turned for the better when you and Melissa stopped trying to conform Hunter. I was always told that the minute you start living your life in a way that everything is a blessing, something happens. It becomes one! Hunter maybe described as “special needs” but I see him as one of Gods special people. He teaches us all Mike, to be better in our own lives. Thank you for sharing and for allowing us all to be apart of your family in an extending way! God bless, Mike!

Mike I’ve always heard you mention the comments of “it must be nice” and you’re right, some people have no clue how hard life has been for one person or another. The thanks you give Hunter is an awesome way to see you and Melissa’s life! Love the explanation. I’ve been close to folks who have an autistic child over the years, and one in particular has a very similar outlook on life. He is/was a very successful traveling businessman. I think it has a lot to do with the drive his son gave him as a young child just as Hunter. Thank you for that perspective. I’d be very interested in a video showing all Levi does for you guys. I’m sure he is thankful for the blessings Hunter has allowed him, through you guys, to be with/close his family everyday as well!

Mike and Melissa, you two and your family are a blessing! We have a grandson on the PDD-NOS spectrum; Jarrod is my buddy. He’s now 25 and will never live independently. Our daughter and SIL struggled and rued that he wasn’t like other kids. Then they accepted the ‘hand they were dealt’ and moved forward. What they have done for him is amazing. He enjoys life and is loved. Years ago, a pastor preached on Psalm 73 - a lament about ungodly people that prosper and good people who suffer. Then the Psalmist comes around to be grateful. The points the preacher made resonate for me, today, whenever I’m tempted to complain or wish things were different. Here’s the points: If you think life should be fair, you’ll be disappointed. If you compared yourself to others, you’ll be discouraged. If you’re disappointed and discouraged, you’ll exaggerate. Being discontent makes us exaggerate, be envious, complain, etc. Accepting and being grateful and moving forward makes life a blessing and being a blessing! That’s the Morgan’s!!! The Hunters and Jarrods are our blessing!

Hey Mike! We always love hearing about Hunter. We know there have been many ups and downs, good times, and hard times. Makes me very thankful that my children were all healthy. But you, Melissa, and all of your children have shown my wife and I how truly special your family is. How wonderful you treat all people. It gave us a much greater respect for everyone who has an autistic child. They, too, are God's Miracles! Thank you for your channel, your family and your willingness to share it with us. In this current world in which we live, with all of the negativity, drugs, child abuse, elder abuse, confused and deranged people who don't know who or what they are, it's just nice to sit down and watch your videos of a good wholesome family who live life in the everyday and work hard doing it. So thank you again, and please give Hunter and all of your family thanks from us in Germantown, Ohio, who appreciate all that you do!

12 😲, Man I wanna shake your hand and Pat you on the back, buy you a beer 🍺 , or do something in your honor ! Shuuu Weee 😅 you Been busy 😂! I bet you didn’t need a minivan 🚐 you needed a bus 🚌 to carry your family to town. I’m not poking fun, just amazed 😮, because you never hear of large families like that anymore. I grew up in a semi large family but nowadays it’s 2-3 kids never 12 anymore. There’s a place on the blue ridge parkway of NC & down in this valley of the parkway is still a Cabin. If i don’t butcher it I think 🤔 It’s called Brinegar Cabin. U can look it up on the Net , but they raised 22 or more kids in a 2 room Log Cabin! 22 children of their own. Can you imagine one woman bearing 22 kids ? She must’ve started at 13 years old and had children until she was in her 40’s to have that many kids. Anyway prayers for your special needs child and your family! 👍🏼
@CCRider5312
@CCRider5312 11 месяцев назад
After double checking the cabin I read about on the historical marker on the Blue Ridge Parkway could’ve been the “Caudill Cabin” . I’m not 100% sure if it was The Brinegar or Caudill Cabin ? But it was in NC on the Scenic Parkway and the Historical placard said the Cabin was a several mile hike down to it in the blue ridge mountain parkway. It said they had raised what I thought to have read was 22 children in that 2 room Cabin. But it’s been many years since I was on the Parkway touring that area. But it was still mind blowing to say the least how people had large families back then and got by on so little to survive.

What a great dad Hunter has. My wife has a RU-vid channel, and I cannot believe some of the things people say and or think. I too have never been jealous of what my friends or strangers have. We have a yacht that my wife makes her videos about. Some of the comments she receives starts with "it must be nice" just as you stated. I have always been lucky in doing business and have only worked for someone else for 2 years right out of high school. Mind you that I only finished 10th grade in high school and was told by one of my aunts that I would never amount to anything for quitting school. I am 62 years old now and retired at age 52. People are so shallow and caught up in this moraless world that the important things have been forgotten about. I am so glad that I found your channel and to know that there are still people that think the way I do. Thank GOD that Hunter has two parents that have taken care of him and thank God that Hunter has been the catalyst to improving the life of the entire family :)

After a 10 year career as a firefighter I was diagnosed with a heart condition. After three unsuccessful procedures I was forced to take medical retirement at age 30. That was 8 years ago. Since then, I met the love of my life, and now have three boys, ages 4,2, and 11 months. My wife supports out family by working in the financial industry. I’m a stay at home dad. It’s the best job in the world! I love staying at home with our three boys, and when time allows, I’m into everything you see on this channel. My 4 year old loves to watch this channel with me when he isn’t watching something about dinosaurs. I wish you really knew what this channel really means to so many people. I don’t miss an episode. Mike, Very well stated. I lost my father at a very young age and inherited a small amount of money. I know there were some friends that thought “it must be nice” but as you eluded to, I’d give it all back if it meant not losing my dad. Yes I had some financial advantages that other young men didn’t but I also never got to have my first beer with him, have him at my wedding or play with his grandchildren. Everyone needs to be thankful for what they have and help those around you with the blessings they are afforded.

I have to thank you for sharing Hunter’s Story, too! I never thought about what stuff your have, for one, none of my business, I do know you have worked hard for everything you have. But Just enjoy the channel so much. Thank you for making the videos, they help my life out too. About six years ago, I use to do all that stuff. Then one day. Had a major problem, came 30 seconds of almost losing my life. I had bought a new house, that had a back yard that needed cleaned up, i was in top physical shape, bought big professional chainsaw, to cut down trees etc. gas up saw ,etc, went into the house to get my new gloves, fell down on a table, which busted, passed out for about 30 minutes, woke up couldn’t breathe. Found out had heart and lung problems and had to be on oxygen the rest of my life. [ the oxygen cylinders ], very flammable, so couldn’t risk using power equipment , spark go off and I would blow up. So for six years been doing nothing. Lots of medical issues as well, but this coming Monday the 11th, I’m changing all of that. Going to invest in the battery operated “Inogen” portable oxygen machine, that , so much lighter and safer. Will be able to get my life back. Won’t have to worry about tubes, & being flammable. Will get to start my life back. Can’t wait.

You are a great person and should be proud of what you have accomplished in life. Some people just can't be happy in life so they focus too much on what they don't have, or what bad circumstances they are living in. My parents taught me that if you dont like your situation change it. work harder, change your job, move, visualize what makes you happy and chart a path to get you there. I also know its a team effort and without your wife and family circumstances may be different. I have an inscription inside of my wedding band and it says "because were a team". that ring has never come off my finger except in special circumstances in manufacturing. It made it all the way through fallujah iraq in 2004 and wont come off til I die. Its not just a ring, its the inscription that has made my wife and our family successful in life for 20 years. thanks again for your channel and for doing videos that remind us how lucky we are.

We prayed in challenging times with them to find the way to handle the way He wanted us to resolve the issues and grow the family in a positive way. In my opinion, that is exactly you and Melissa have done and continue to do. Ya'll have found the blessings of all your children and the intended path to follow. Great perspective Mike. Hard work and planning leads to “it must be nice”. I’m 55 and have been semi retired since I was 50. I downshifted from working close to 3000 hours a year to around 1000 when I was 50. It’s all about living within your means. I love your RU-vid channel.

Thanks for this video Mike. We are not too different. Play with the hand we are dealt! Who have thought that our son would have cancer and fight it right until the end. Diagnosed at 1 yr and fight it until 7-1/2. We had a lot of good years, but a lot of treatments and operations in between. We love and miss him every day, and it made my wife and I, as well as our three younger children, much stronger and appreciative people. When things get busy, and yes sometimes our priorities get messed up, whenever our kids need something to get done or need to be somewhere, that’s what our priority becomes. 😊. Live in the moment and enjoy our blessings. Work with the things that are within our control. Cheers 🍻

Since I started watching your channel, I've enjoyed them and admired your family. Never did it cross my mind about your possessions. Your family is very special because of the way everyone truly cares for one another! In my 73 years on God's beautiful world, I've been around people like you mentioned. They would bother me until I got mad and confronted them. During a stressful discussion, I had my first heart attack. That let me know that no one is worth my daughter loosing her dad. Bottom line Mike, please continue doing what life hands you. You and Melissa are very entertaining people and my calm time is enjoying real life not some fake stuff. Thanks for sharing your family and may God bless y'all with love and happiness!👍👍🙏❤️🙏❤️🇺🇲

Wonderful video. Being the brother of a guy (he's 53 and I call him a kid) with Downs I know the life changes that happened for my parents. It is a big deal that unless you are dealing with it you don't understand. Your statement about being willing to give up everything is powerful and I believe that 100%. You and Mellissa are great advocates and can help others facing similar things. I think you do. That, in my observations, is why you have certain friends you mention from time to time. God bless.

I agree with you 100% Mike. My two brothers and I were brought up poor. We had no running water and an outhouse. As time went on, things improved. Mom later married a Vet, built a new home and things got better, this was in the 60's. For the haters, perhaps its better we educate you, than simply dissin you off. 1st, ENVY: Envy is the sin of jealousy over the blessings and achievements of others. One of the earliest results of envy goes back to Cain & Able, its not a new thing! We all have obsticals to go thru in life, Successful folks work thru theirs, slackers try to go around them, the end result is not the same! We were brought up with simple rules like helping the less fortunate rather than putting them down. I donate regularly and the money always comes back! You get what you give! Spirituality. I'm willing to bet 9 out of 10 haters aren't spiritual. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing". Everything happens for a reason and there are no coincidences.

I want to add that the haters actually have a place in this as well. None of us like their input or attitude but I think about the positive that comes from it. Mike made a wonderful and thought provoking video as a result. I don’t want to encourage the ugliness but I see how it brings out the reality of life. Other successful channels face the exact same problems with the haters and trolls. I’m glad for the heartfelt replies of so many encouraging people!

Seems to me you two have worked hard consistently and overtime built up what you have as a life and continue to expand and enjoy the opportunities you created for yourself. Don’t let the people who are negative critical comments get to you. My wife and I worked our whole lives made hard choices and it’s worked out well for us many look at our life and say “ it must be nice” well it is and we earned every bit of it and sacrificed to get where we are. I We have an autistic grandson and I understand your comment about making a-trade if you could , I would too! The people who make that comment know very little about us really just the comfortable life we live in retirement, We moved 14 times a couple of them were international in my career as an Engineer our children didn’t like it but now agree they benefited significantly from the experience. Retired now and busy with my gardens , workshop and church after working on 5 continents doing significant projects living on 3 of them being away from home for a month at a time , I was the CEO of a small global Oil and Gas Technology, Engineering and Service Company , I kept apartments in Cairo , Bucharest and our Engineering alliance parter had a guest house in Indonesia, sounds nice but it was all work long hours with difficult international issues.

Well said Mike ❤ In a large family even siblings can have a different experience and not be believed because of changing circumstances that affected the later kids more than the first ones. My Dad was putting in between 60 and 80 hours a week and only home on the weekends, I and my younger sister's entire childhood. Our older siblings have different memories we weren't part of. The world takes quite a bit and more than it used to I think. Anyway I'm happy for the lessons you provide by example ❤

Well spoken. Having a special needs sibling changed my family forever. Tom was born with Down Syndrome at a time when most kids would have been institutionalized (1951). Mom and Dad chose to keep Tom at home, like you did with Hunter, and give him the best education and life opportunities as possible with absolutely no regret whatsoever. We all loved having Tom with us including a half-sister, two brothers, a step-mother, two step-sisters, eventual wives, husbands, nieces, nephews and friends. Sadly, there are those who have no clue what it means to make, and I don't want to say "sacrifices", but "adjustments" to their lifestyle, as you have. Thank you for being that spokesperson helping to educate those individuals. Compassion is a wonderful thing. Sadly, Tom passed away in 2007 at the age of 55, well beyond his life expectation. He is sorely missed.

Mike, I want to say thank you for sharing this time with us to explain what it is like to be blessed to have an autistic child. Autism is a condition that affects the whole family. We have a 15-year-old grandson who has lived with us basically since birth. His father couldn't handle the cards that he and our daughter that gave birth to our grandson. So, he left, and we have been caring for our daughter and grandson for 15 years. We are 61 years old now, and we are just as concerned about what life will be like for them when we are gone or unable to work and support them. We are self-employed as you and Melissa are, and it was a restoration of faith and willpower watching your video this morning. Thank you for talking with us.

She’s got a rare disease…. called (EDS) Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Causing your body not to have enough collagen. It’s a connective tissue disorder… Affecting her whole body and It’s elasticity… heart valves, skin, ligaments and tendons ….Her joints pop out of place easily and she falls. The best way to explain it ….it’s like when a rubber band looses its tension! I would give Everything I have, for her to be healthy! People have no clue what goes on behind the doors of other family’s lives. Everybody has their own battles… that people never see. I love your channel …and I love what you’re doing!

Very well articulated. I always say, “That whenever one door closes, another opens,” but it’s up to you to walk through it. On the bright side, that door that closed (good or bad) is one less decision you have to make because someone or something made it for you. Everything (good or bad) happens for a reason. We must have the the courage to accept the things we cannot change.

Where to start....First of all, I actually enjoy your talking videos the most. Your perspective is just spot on and I think we (normal people) feel comfort in just hearing someone else verbalize it. So, thank you. Second...humans are weird lol. Do I envy the equipment and drive that you have?.....Absolutely! My mouth waters every time..but I never am upset that you can make it happen. We are blessed beyond measure, and some of our own family blast out comments like "must be nice" but they never compare the sacrifices that we make to have all of these luxuries. Well....work 80 hours a week and maybe you will see a different result. Anyhow...power on friend. Your daily drive sickens me (that's a joke) but man....what an inspiration you are. Thanks so much. If you are ever in sw. Mo....we will fix you up with awesome food, great stories and maybe just a little wood to split.

This made me smile. I know you get thousands of comments and probably don't remember any of mine. I have a 15 year old son with autism myself. He is highly functioning on the spectrum. Gibson has also taught us and incredible amounts of patience as well. Its a different kind of love you have then you do for other kids. I love my kids equally, but always have a bigger soft spot for my Gibson. We know he will need help his entire life, and thats just fine with us. Real parents dont turn their back from any special need. I think we run town them, and embrace it.

Amazing thoughts Mike. You shouldn't feel that you have to explain it to others but I get why you did. Kudos to you, Melissa, and the entire family for all your accomplishments. More importantly, recognizing Hunter's contributions to the family and the blessings he has added to all of your lives is commendable. I am in awe of all you do with work, family and making the channel what it is today. "You reap what you sew" is exactly why you are where you are today, and all of you deserve everything - material and otherwise. As for Hunter they say: "Silence speaks louder than words" and he certainly proves it for the education and motivation he has given you back . Good health to all of you, keep up the good work and God Bless.

NEVER worry what others think. Most people come here to get away from their problems and live, what they wish was their life, thru you. We do not expect you to air your 'dirty laundry' here. Most of us know of your personal problems and pray for you and wish you well. What I want, and I think most others, is to see how you do things. Kinda like a kid watching a fire truck or a bulldozer, dazed for hours just watching you push dirt. Love it.

Hunter is a blessing in that he's made you look at how you can help and support his needs. When your daughters showed a medical problem it gave you the strength and drive to research and find an answer to their problem. You showed it to every one, look how meany people you have helped. I was in similes position, in the early 1950's, I was developing deformed feet. The specialist I saw was confident he could fix the problem, in that I would be able to continue walking, but with certain restrictions, I was the tenth person in the world to under go this surgery. He wanted to try out a variation which would be a world first and my parents gave him the green light. This is now in the medical books and now is standard practice. I was able to serve 20+ years in the Air Force and retire. They lived long enough to see me do this.

Good morning Mike, Hunter is one wonderful young Man, he knows how to Love and Respect the individuals around him and that reflects the Time, Energy and Dedication your entire family have invested in Hunters world and how Wonderful his World is and how he invites us in. In my case I have a son who was diagnosed with Global Learning disabilities an education was always hard on him. But he has his way of learning, he has worked at Wendy’s since he was 17 and he’s been at the same Wendy’s for 18 years now, he knows that place inside out and backwards but he still has his limitations, but like you said he has embraced the cards he’s been dealt. I can relate to the struggles, I’m 67 and I’m still picking him up at midnight at the end of his shift, but that gives me some “US” time to talk. Thanks for your insight and for all you do for us your audience. 😀👍👍👍

I come from a “small” family of six kids (LOL) including me. Moms family had 17 siblings, they made their own fun, literally made violins and music… they couldn’t afford anything else in way of entertainment. We always laugh, love, cry, worry but enjoy the hands we are dealt. Wife and 3 adult children have bleeding disorder and it’s just part of our lives. We deal with it. My wife’s parents were told she wouldn’t live beyond 14 years. She is 65 years young with 3 children and we have 3 grands! God Bless Morgan Family and all of us like minded!

Our daughter, who will be 33 in December, has Asperger Syndrome (which is a form of Autism) . She was very fortunate that her case was not as severe as it could be. She did not get diagnosed until she was in 2nd grade. Luckily we live in the suburbs of Chicago and she was going to a very good public school where she had a teacher who was trained in how to recognize the problem and directed us to get her the proper help she needed. As you said, we adjusted our lives (especially my wife) to deal with the cards we were dealt. We did not have to make as dramatic adjustments as am sure you guys did, but there were still some adjustments. But all you can do is what you have been doing, give him a loving home, take care of the needs he can't do himself and make plans for his future after you are gone. But I suspect he has sisters and brothers that would step in to the role as care givers, and if that's the case God bless them for that. But in our case our daughter is grown, graduated college in the top 5% of her class and is now married and has given us the most beautiful granddaughter in the whole wide world (no prejudice there). So if Hunters problem was created via a reaction to a vaccination let's pray they come up with a way to reverse it some day. But in spite of the challenges you are faced with in taking care of him, I know you wouldn't trade him for the world. I sense that his routines, while tiering from time to time, are something you enjoy because of the joy it brings him. Your good parents and have done a great job with all you kids. If your You Tube income, opportunities with advertising, and opportunities to show-off (while using) Kubota's tractor lines (which introduces us to their products) (hate to say it I still liked the RK line better) good for you. You don't flaunt it, you just let us into your lives and family and because of that you are able to provide a better life for Hunter. That's not greed, that taking care of your family with all the cards in the deck and playing them to the fullest.
