Thank you so much to everyone who supported this video by buying kits and chips on my webshop! www.imania.dk/index.php?currency=EUR&cPath=204&sort=5a&language=en In the description you'll also find a link to my Retro Computing Clubhouse on Discord. It's a super friendly place and you can get help with your own retro projects

Great video! Quick question: Where are you sourcing the RIOTs from? The eBay prices for them have gotten a bit high.

Thanks! They have! I hope I haven’t single handedly driven up the prices.. I get them from AliExpress, sort out the bad ones and sell them on my shop - I might have to raise prices soon, but hopefully not.

Another nice video, Anders, and a wonderful solution for W27C512 devices. Just a note, if I may? If the 28-pin 65uino ROM socket was re-wired with pins 1, 2, 26, and 27 connected to VCC instead of ground, I believe you could use an 8K 28C64 EEPROM or a 32K 28C256 EEPROM as well as the 64K W27C512 EEPROM on the 65uino. The 'recycled' 28C64 and 28C256 prices are similar to 'recycled' W27C512 prices and the 28C64 and 28C256 devices are erased and programmed at 5v using much simpler and less costly DIY programmer designs. Certainly not as much of an engineering and design challenge (and fun) but perhaps a viable alternative.

Thank you. As far as I can tell it's only pin 27 that needs a jumper select for WE (planned for next revision) - other than that they should be drop-in compatible. Did I miss something?

26, 27 already have solder jumpers - I'm unsure if VPP on pin 1 needs to be tied high for 27C256. Don't see any case where A12/NC on pin 2 would take issue with being grounded. 5V in circuit programming is the goal for next revision - but of course that requires a bit more address decoding.

I love your videos and your style but I wish you didn’t use these click-baity titles and title images: I have skipped the video for two days because I didn’t realise it was from you. I hope they work statistically in your favour, otherwise I’m going to be sad for nothing. My rant aside, thank you for your work!

Thank you :) Yes - this one did get about twice as many clicks as usual, but on the other hand, few stuck around for this rather long and technical video. But also, a lot of new viewers decided they would like to see more and pressed subscribe - so in that sense, getting to a broader audience also worked for getting people to notice my little niche. I like playing around with what works in the "game of RU-vid" - but in the end, the content I make is for people like you, who stick around to the end. Maybe I'll tone it down a bit for the next one.
