Recently started watching Naruto with my wife and she liked Kabuto during the chunin exams, but she sure changed her mind once it was revealed he was working for Orochimaru

Hard to hate Kabuto. He was unwillingly manipulated all of this life. He is the perfect example of a victim of circumstances until he absorbed Orochimaru. I hope he finds himself one day but very often, people like him don’t.

This might be my favorite video to date, I don't know much outside of the anime/manga but this backstory was insanely interesting and made his character make a lot more sense.

I’ve always liked kabuto but never really known why (anime only and unfortunately skipped filler) watching this catches me up with what I missed and makes me appreciate the series all over again!

Kabuto is a man of the shadows. Trained under Orochimaru and became his shadow. The only villain in any fiction that was supposed to be a hardcore final villian of sorts, and summoned someone so great that it cast a shadow on him. Itachi winked at him and he became a good guy. Shows up in Boruto as a babysitter? He is very forgettable as a character even though he played such a big role in the story from the start. Kabuto becoming so powerful and being able to get out the Izanami so quickly should have really been expressed more in the story. He is obviously a good character but just gets overshadowed by so many people.

Thanks for finally getting to my boi Kabuto. You gave a spot you review of his character and struggles . And say what you want bout him,, But Itachi putting him under genjutsu was the best thing for him. With his new rational sense of self and the power he has. He is without a doubt one of the most powerful shinobi in all of Naruto

If it weren't for the Kotoamatsukami and the Izanami, then Kabuto probably would've won the war.

Can we talk about black zetsu? Yamato could create 2x4s, but when black zetsu took him over he gained all chakra natures and could use hashirama class ninjutsu

I'm still hoping he makes a video on killer B because he is literally my favorite and he gave Sasuke his first one sided beat down where plot armor just barely manage to save him.

This is why i love NCHammer because when he makes these videos with the same title people are like "Wdym i know everything about kabuto he's a snake" then he says things that people sometimes never knew about kabuto.

Wow honestly just sitting and listening to his story in full really sheds light on Kabuto. It always seemed he was just not bad man who needs to be bad. He also reminds me a lot of Godrick the grafted from eldin ring. Even the big snake lol.

Nagato and kabuto are my favorite characters from naruto I love that Kabuto was pretty much the only Villian that was a constant threat from the beginning of naruto until the end and he just kept getting stronger out of nowhere he went from weaker than the sound ninja (in appearance anyway) to as strong as Kakashi, to beating a nerfed tsunande to well above kage level all while literally having no personality he's the cockroach of naruto

12:50 The obvious reason is that Danzo didn't exist yet, and Kishimoto didn't bother trying to retcon this for their backstory for Shippuden.

I can think of only one or two reasons why Danzo didn’t take out Kabuto during the Chunin Exams. 1. Orochimaru working realtionship with Danzo 2. The 3rd Hokage banished Danzo after the Uchiha incident, thus not given him authority to do anything

idk the more i know about naruto the more im thinking that its not the story of a few ninjas n a boy with a doggo in him but a story of how different people react to pain and how they comes in terms with it, while the main villain group, akatsuki, is the one who wantss to start a war, something that is the root cause for pain.

the conclusion is wrong: kabutos life is defined by trauma -> that creates a personality which tries anything to not lose control anymore (if its a capable person) and a personality which wants to protect everybody he loves in an extreme way e. g. by taking them in. trauma, control and power are also connected, so it makes perfect sense to that he looked for contact with the strongest characters. individualism is the result of other characteristics and can be found by people with really special abilities like the uchias, but kabuto is not like that. sure he is looking for a personality but not to be a special individual but to connect with other people.

I've always loved Kabuto, I always felt that he had one of the _saddest_ backstories and stories _in general_ more than _any_ other side characters in _Naruto._ But that's just me, you can like or leave a comment if you agree or disagree, I love civil, nice community debates and character analysis and discussions. :3.

Kabuto is the most lost sad Boi in Naruto.

To be honest I never really liked Kabuto up until after Orochimaru died. Orochimaru's death was really a catalyst for his character. Kabuto was honestly a little boring after the Tsunade arc and got really interesting after Orochimaru died and his character went up from there. As a villain he was charismatic and terrifying like Orochimaru, a person he emulated but he wanted to be better than that so he went off the rails mostly behind the scenes for quite some time until the Fourth Great War when we see he finally "perfected" himself. The ironic thing about Kabuto is how much of a genius he is and yet he couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He could never understand that he didn't have to copy all these different people to become his own person, he had to do the opposite. I would say the one thing I did not like about Kabuto was how he just drops out of the story after he breaks out of Itachi's Izanami. Like, yeah he heals Sasuke and has a cameo in Boruto but that's it. Like I'm proud he found himself and everything but come on, he's such a compelling character.

So is it safe to say that kabuto was one of the most dangerous characters in Naruto??

Even though it is just my opinion, I think that both Nagato and Obito care for their comrades more than Danzo.

Rewatching this now I believe óbito was a little wrong on the sword of nonobuko creating the earth because we know from hagoromo himself that he and his brother hamura are the descendants of kaguya and that earth guy. If kaguya had children with a human from earth then that implies the earth was formed before that

Tbh, being someone in power and point Kabuto in the right direction. You have the most loyal and perfect student to an extent that can carry your legacy. Irl or in Naruto, he has/had potential.

My theory about Danzo not noticing, is that he truly wasn’t at the chunin exams- he had sent Orochimaru there to observe in his stead, probably unaware of Orochimaru’s plans. Thus, Kabuto would’ve remained in Danzo’s “blind spot” during the chunin exams.

Already laying down facts in the intro. I grew up with Naruto, I was there, and the only reason Sasuke was popularized was 12-14 year old girls that thought he was hot/cool. (Yes I see the irony in that combo.) Sasuke is a poor man's Hiei from Yu-Yu Hakusho, a ripoff. Equal inspiration is taken from Kurapika from HxH, both charachters and shows written by Togashi.

Kabuto got defeated by itachi who escaped from control because of his crow who had shisui's eyes, so in a since shisui participated in the 4th great shinobi world war.
