i want to thank cycle drag its so important that motorcycles are covered in racing and it was a big deal growing up for me and i just love the fact that cycle drag is keeping it alive thanks to you all!!!! joey congrats on the big win brother!!!
I love the kind of sharpening the races by putting some serious money on the line-- over here in Germany there is nothing even close to the extra thrill of it... apart from that, we are currently suffering a complete call-off of all racing activities exept for training the second year in a row due to Covid. Hope to continue in `22 for that will be my 25th anniversary on my Sportster. Not to forget: Great coverage as always, Jack! I love how you are so deeply involved in our stuff!
Great video. Excellent racing. It’s sad how many of the tracks in this country are shutting down. Everyone complains about street racing and how all racing should be done on the track, yet nobody is attempting to help keep the tracks alive.
GSXR Sales just spiked. What a great event, I miss loading up the bike for Friday night bracket racing back in the day. Great channel Jack keepin' it real during Covid.
I have to get a CYCLEGEAR polo Jack! Building a twin turbo Yamaha to take to the track on occasion. I’ll enter some bracket racing if that’s what it takes!
One man Kaw triples getting hard to find. Another alternative find a roller motorcycle plenty snowmobile motors. My 97 Polaris 600 tripped stock made 110-120 hp. Make a hell of a drag bike.
Steve, what years were you on the USS America? I went out on a day cruise/flight ops in the Atlantic in ~'79 (?). We got underway from Mayport, FL and watched F-14's and A-6's all day, super cool day. If you were on board then, thanks!
Poor Brenda gets all of the attitude and none of the thanks. She works hard to run these events and don’t think for a second getting 150 racers in line is an easy job. She is a treasure and doesn’t deserve to be verbally abused by angry racers.
@@DRAGVTWIN I admit I didn't hear the conversation before the part that was uploaded here. I'm sure she was probably defending herself. I do agree that racers can definitely get a little bit heated especially with money on the line. ✌
Supposedly she called it fair 1st. So in my opinion she was doing as others wanted after making her 1st decision. Just not right to say your good then change your mind afterwards.
No I never said he was good. There were a lot things that went on in the staging lanes that were not in this video! He was referring to me saying his time slip showed the win only to discover he was showing me time slips that weren’t from the round in question. He knew what he was doing!
Sorry, lad, but I'm quite sure that Sally from Virginia Beach doesn't watch Cycle Drag; look at her face when you ask!! hahaha No worries, we're all like Kobe, i.e., humans!! Good job and keep it up!
You make it sound like his chopper is the fastest. Your racing is not about the fastest ET, but about running consistently so you can get the most accurate dial in time.
Well, everthing is pretty much documented, and on video. If you are not sure if it is your run, ask. If you are lagging they will probably yell at you to get up to the line. Better stick with what the race officials say. It's fairly simple.
The street outlaws franchise is a huge reason the tracks are going away think about the street racing epidemic that the show started that’s why racing is being killed that and all the outlaw tracks that carry no sanction
#longislandneedsadragstrip They are going extinct! We need to keep this sport alive, not turn drag strips into drifting spots and other shit we don’t need! #wtf E-Town is a legendary drag strip! Shame on them for what they’ve done to it!
You probably don't how it works, It takes a good racer to win in brackets! I raced brackets from 81 to 2005 on 81 Suzuki GS 1100 and 85 GS 1150 and a 83 Kawi GPZ 1100. Made over 1500 passes down the strip! Bracket racing is great!
That's the whole point of going to the strip is to get the fastest E.T. you can, and then try to better that! And also to race and win against other racers, heads up or bracket. Its not as entertaining, if you can't see the E T 's
