I hate when sellers over-tape plants, and you feel like your going to damage the plant trying to get it out. There no need to use that much tape. Use Cellophane instead, and just a little tape at the end.
How exciting to get 3 wish list plants! 🙏🏼 the Labisia comes back for you, would think the leaves did that cause as far as I know they love high humidity. Monstera Thai con is beautiful, I have one that is TC thats growing great at the moment and last leaf she gave me was my first half moon! Look forward to the update on them all.
It’s funny you mention this because the only one of mine that has ever had a distinct smell when I cut it was my philodendron brandi which I just recently propagated for the first time ever in a video and the smell completely caught me off guard. I’ve never smelled anything like it when propagating any of my other plants before including my other philodendron.
Just 2 days ago I searched on any tips for Begonia Maculata care and found yours, and like it a lot. Today this video popped up on my feed with a familiar name in the title. I'm from Indonesia, so what are the chances the second video I watched from you is about the unboxing imported plants from Indonesia 😄 You really got some beautiful plants, hope the Labisia will survive. I am now your subscriber, and so excited to see the updates!
I like your video, but if you dont mind some criticism, perhaps show us what you are looking at, what you are doing. I am not syre why the video is so high. Maybe sit at a table and we can watch the unpackaging. Besides that, thank you. 😊
I ordered plants from Florida last summer, one out of 6 plants came in droopy limp with a couple of yellow leaves and she rehabbed beautifully. I gave her time to acclimate contacted company I bought them for, sent pics. I talked to their customer service lady, she told me they rehab well. And she did. Didn't lose any money on any of them. She contacted me for a few days, great customer service from this company and it all went well.
You got some great plants! Your delivery seemed to arrive in the best condition it could have, under the circumstances, but I understand why you were concerned with the shipping route through Cincinnati. I live in northeast Ohio and had plants ship from Florida right as the storm hit at Christmas, when the temps dropped to minus degrees F. When I contacted the grower to delay shipment, they said it was not possible as the order was packed with the label already on it. Needless to say, the entire order arrived frozen and mushy, with no hope of recovery, even though I paid extra for "winter protection". The plants were shipped bare root and not nearly as protected as I expected. It was kind of ridiculous, especially since the packed plants sat in limbo, awaiting shipment, making the heat pack useless. I will never again place an order in the colder months and I now must reconsider buying tropicals, sold domestically, that ship "bare root". The cost savings, I think, may not be worth it. The company had no problem refunding my money, minus the protection fee, but I hesitate to reorder from them in the spring, even though they have a 5 star rating on Etsy. I realize there's no controlling the weather, but they might have prevented shipping...all over a "shipping label". Really? Maybe there's more to the story from their end, however, they gave no further explanation, so I can only guess, This isn't meant to be a guilty verdict against the company particularly, but a cautionary tale. I am so disappointed, as my order included several wish list plants, including a Thai Constellation....
Ugh, that’s so frustrating and sad. They should have just suspended shipping for a few days like Steve’s Leaves does when the weather gets really cold like that. I mean it’s not beneficial to them to just send them out anyways if they’re going to end up having to refund everyone because the plants died.
I'm sooooo in love with it! The new leaf is slowly emerging and I really wish it would pick up the pace so I can see what it's going to look like already, lol
Your plants are all so beautiful 😍 ❤ I have been eyeing this site for a while. I had been hesitant because their prices seem too good to be true. But knowing now that you order from them I am more comfortable with making a purchase with them. Thank you
Don’t forget you can use the code ALOHA23 for 15% off your order if it’s $150 or more and you can also use this code in combination with any shipping specials they may have going on
